I was in the store today with my grandkids. We saw the sign on the door saying restrooms are out of order. Thankfully no one had to use the restroom right then. I ask a clerk about it. She was very nice. I said are they closed forever? She said yes. She said the staff has been told to tell customer's to go to Kohls to use THEIR restroom. WTF!!!! That is ridiculous! I expect stores to have open restrooms! If my grandkids are with me and have to use the restroom we are NOT going to Kohl's to do it! We will park our full cart and leave and NOT come back!! As long as the restrooms remain closed I will not shop at Marshals again! I used to love going shopping there but I will just find another place to shop! People don't want to leave to use the restroom then have to go back if they want the stuff they left in their cart!!! read more

Cashier was wonderful, friendly and told us about the Marshall's credit card. Amazing customer service from Amanda C! Trijan the manager left something to be desired...he scolded/embarrassed the cashier for handling making change up front previously in the morning. Then went on to scold us, the customers for paying in big bills (we spent $237 - paying in $100's didn't seem a crazy notion, offered to pay with card but it was made into a big thing at that point). The cashier sweetly said thank you when he brought her the change and no you're welcome or any kind of manners whatsoever. We also thanked him, also no response. Maybe he was having a bad day but it sure wasn't comfortable experiencing someone else get chewed out for being helpful, and then us too. All other cashiers were smiley and generally friendly as well. Great shopping experience outside of the unpleasantness of the manager. I would give no stars but Amanda was great and the store was clean and had a great selection. We do love Marshall's! So do our dogs. Haha! read more

I was in this store with my husband on Friday 02/24/23. I was looking through some of the men's items for my husband when a homeless man came so close to me in the isle that he made physical contact with me. My husband did not like that at all. When my husband went to complain to the Manager (Bald man with glasses wearing an N95 mask), my husband said the Manager was in the middle of a conversation with his co-worker about how "exciting" it was to have a bunch of homeless people shopping in the store that night. My husband proceeded to tell the Manager that the homeless people just made everyone else uncomfortable. We won't be back to this location and I will no longer use my TJX card. Good luck, knuckleheads. With the reviews on Yelp, I cant see this Corp. keeping this store open much longer. read more

Worst experience of my life there. I walked in there with my boyfriend, and little sister. We were greeted quite oddly, I could tell something was off. My boyfriend and I continued our shopping like always, and my little sister noticed people were talking on the headsets quite frequently around us. A customer then approached us to warn us that we were being watched, and several employees were following us. I was extremely uncomfortable, and angry. Especially, since I am at that location at least one per week, and purchase many items each time. I went to Marshalls at South Sound Center, 701 Sleater Kinney Road in Lacey, WA 98503, Marshalls Store# 100852, on September 16, 2022 at approximately 3pm. I was specifically looking for a purse to go with a dress I recently bought for a luncheon I planned to attend. I found a perfect, simply designed purse at Marshalls. The purse I bought had a single arm strap and a snap clasp closure. After purchasing the purse, I noticed while using the purse I would often find it wide open. I discovered that every time I used the purse, my wallet was practically hanging out of it because the purse's clasp would not stay closed. Consequently, the purse posed a safety issue for my belongings. The purse was not functional because the clasp design would not stay closed. I returned to Marshalls 19 days later to return the purse in its original, perfect condition along with the register receipt at the purchased location on October 5, 2022 at 3:15pm. Upon addressing the sales clerk at the counter, I told her that I really liked the purse but it would not stay closed. The sales clerk immediately replied that she could not give me a refund, stating that, "You do not have the item tag for the purse." I reminded the sales clerk I had just handed her the register receipt. She then looked straight at me and stated, "But I don't know if you got this purse at Marshalls or not." I stated again to her that I just handed her the Marshalls' register receipt, which clearly showed the accessory number right in front of her and that I just wanted the purchase refund put back on my Marshalls credit card. Again, she stated that she could not give me a refund without the item tag. At this point, the employee who had sold me the purse on September 16th 2022, approached the counter and asked what was going on. I asked him if he remembered selling me the purse and he stated, "Yes." I then told him that the clerk had just stated that she would not refund me for the purse because she said she didn't know if I had purchased the purse at Marshalls because I didn't have the item tag, even though I had the purchased register receipt. His comment was, "That's ridiculous." I had just established that I did indeed purchased the purse at the very store I was standing in. Upon hearing that I did purchase the purse at Marshalls, the clerk who refused my purse refund was visibly flustered and instead of giving me a refund to my Marshalls' card she went to get another clerk. I stated to the next clerk why I was returning the purse with the receipt, and I again stated that this was the first time anyone said I needed an item tag and receipt. The second female clerk examined the purse; I surmised she was also looking for any problems. The second female clerk didn't say anything of significance and typed in the numbers off of my receipt and gave the purse back to the female clerk who originally denied my refund. At this point, I was then refunded the original amount of the purse back onto my Marshalls credit card. I was humiliated. This first sales clerk essentially accused me of fraud, as well as racially profiling me. I am a 67 year old woman of color retiree, who simply wanted to return a purse that, although looked cute, was designed poorly. A simple 5 minute transaction. But the sales clerk turned the transaction into a 15 minute humiliation. Consequently, I felt unsafe because I believed the sales clerk could have called the police when she blatantly accused me of fraud and then could have feigned fear in order to bring harm to me. The "Karen" syndrome. This sales clerk violated all professional boundaries as well as Marshalls' Standard Return Policy. She was visibly flustered when she was caught lying to me by her fellow employee who said he remembered selling me the purse. And then she ran for backup. The bottom of the receipt clearly stated: "Refunds within 30 Days with Receipt." the receipt did not say a returned item must include an item tag. I looked at Marshalls' Standard Return Policy on its website and it states that "non-receipted returns" could also be done simply with a photo ID. "A valid government issued photo ID, name, address, and signature are required for non-receipted returns and may be required for use of the resulting merchandise credit." "Our customers continue to be our top priority. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, return the merchandise accompanied by a register receipt within 30 days of purchase for and an exchange or refund in the original form of tender." I had a receipt and a photo ID; but never did the clerk ask to see my ID. If Marshalls allows an employee to humiliate me and put me in fear of my life, then this is no longer about the purse and refund; it's about my treatment as a human being, when I did absolutely nothing wrong. The clerk attacked and questioned by character and could have put my life in danger with her baseless accusation. I have cc's this to the Marshalls' CEO. read more

I just found a $16.00 cure to my shopping addiction. Between the day after christmast and today I spent close to $3000 at the local Marshalls in Lacey. I mindlessly go into this store 2-3 times per month to buy things that I don't need because it is sometimes hard to pass up a good deal. Today I found out that they do not do price adjustments. Two pair of snow boots for the kiddos are now on clearance for $8.00 less than I purchased them for; when asked if I can recoup the difference they said very curtly, sorry that is the price you pay for shopping at a discount store. Even if you return them, we will not give you the clearance price, good luck looking at one of our other stores to see if you will find it. Today starts my year long boycott mission. Very clean and good selection of items for clothing, accessories, and household items, decorations, etc. However, I did have a really bad experience with the woman working in the dressing room. After I was done trying on clothes I brought her the items I didn't want. It seems I forgot the hanger for one of the items in the dressing room. She asked me where it was and I told her I must have forgotten it. She then asked me to go back and get it. Without really thinking I went back and got it but as soon as I picked it up I thought "Wait, really?" I couldn't believe she was ordering me around like I was her kid. Granted I look really young (braids and baggy sweatshirt with jeans don't make me look like I am 26) but still she made me feel like she was my mom telling me to go clean my room. I handed her the hanger and she didn't say thanks. I left the store immediatly in a fluster. I was not about to spend money there. On my way home I called the store and asked for the manager on duty. I spoke to a very nice woman and explained the situation. She understood and aplogized but didn't go "above and beyond". I wasn't expecting a gift certificate or anything but a "wow...that should have never happened' or a "I will make sure this gets taken care of right away" would have been "above and beyond" for me. I will still continue to shop here. But, much like any other store you go to their customer service stinks. What is happening in the customer service world these days? read more

Just had a great experience here picking up some items I'd been on the lookout for, and for so much less than I would have paid elsewhere. I bought a couple kitchen utensils for $3 each (that's lower than at Goodwill!), a pair of men's levi corduroys (less than $20), and a new winter jacket that is stylish, warm, and was half the price you'd pay retail. The store was large, clean, and the service was prompt/friendly. I will definitely be back here in the future. read more

Great atmosphere in this place, lots of variety to choose from (especially in the foods aisle) compared to my hometown there is SO much more selection. It is apparently a theme in the Lacey shopping complex to profile people of color that shop there. Yesterday I went to purchase a few items and unfortunately the security at Marshalls and one of the workers continue to glare at me and followed me all the way to the register. As I got my merchandise rung up the other worker jumped on the other register and pretended to ring up the plain clothes security lady. The whole time they were staring at me. I smiled at them. And they glared back at me. He paid no attention to his customer and she was just focused on me. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

I used to enjoy shopping here, until yesterday evening. Hours are posted online and at the door, yet at 9:30pm, we were being forced out the door by the employees. The store closes at 10pm. Employees were literally pointing at the door and saying "Go!" I can confidently say that these were the most disrespectful employees I've ever encountered. Regardless of how they feel about people shopping late, they don't get to decide the hours of a national chain. I never got to, and neither does anyone else working in retail. The store itself is Ok. Good selection, although with any store like this, its hit or miss. Seems a little messy, particularly their cosmetics, but the home decor section is very nice. Good place to shop in if you don't mind terrible manners. read more

Went to Marshalls to purchase a few things. It seems that now, they allow you to bring animals into the store to roam amongst your clothes, bedding, towels and food. Talked to manager about their SANITATION standards and they don't have any!!! NOTHING to protect the public from fleas, ticks, dog bites and bacteria!! Just FILTHY! I'm exercising my rights and not shopping where I have to inspect my hard earned purchase goods for animal germs and bacteria. read more

Not very happy with the customer service. Most of the men's cologne boxes were opened and th cologne was used. The manager refused to discount it and was extremely rude. I'll stick to shopping at other stores. Rarely go here and most time it's a bad experience. read more

Excellent customer service ! Employees are always helpful and friendly I have lived here for 7 years and have to say that Marshalls has become one of my families favorite places to shop. Best prices and amazing brands ! I seen a few bad reviews on here and i can't relate just seems to me that maybe there are to may people who are having a bad day which is normal but complaining over small things is just childish .
