This poor mall has seen better days. There is very little to make me want to trek a short ten minutes to come visit this location. So many storefronts remain empty or are used for weird purposes, such as a remote library. It seems the days of bustling and crowded malls is more in our past than in our future. Watch out for Zinnia. She will give you aggressive attitude if you ask her any questions. She is rude and unkind. I was in 3/11/2025 at noon. He coworker could not have been sweeter and apologized for her rude behavior. I simply asked for more chow mein versus the veg inside and it set her off. I apologized for making her angry..no response..just slammed my food down. I will not return to this location. read more

I'm genuinely surprised by this mall because I come from California where indoor malls are dying. This place looks like it's struggling but is surviving, most likely because people need a place to hang out in the cold months of the year. Is this mall a fun place to hang out. Sorta. It's better than nothing. This place is genius because they are dog friendly and have poopie stations with paper towels in case Fido makes an accident and it is this reason that my sister loves coming here- so that our pups can socialize. There are okay restaurants here, but a very small food court with three restaurants which includes a a Philly Cheesteak place with bomb fries and a Panda Express. For some reason this mall has two Wetzel Pretzels. For me the better restaurants aren't in the food court, but on the outside areas of the mall. There's a fancy burger place near the movie theater which is a little overpriced with pretty good burgers, but nothing memorable. If you ask me, the best restaurants are on the outside of the mall and in the parking lots, including a Chipotle, Menchie's Fro Yo, Red Robin, Olive Garden, Applebees, etc. They also have a small Chuck E. Cheese that is a little sad because there's isn't a lot of space for anything there. There are a lot of Spencer Gifts type businesses at this location I guess to entice the teens. For me the fun is from the massage chairs. I have one at home so I don't know why I use these things, but there's something fun about chilling in public. My favorite business here is the Century movie theater which has reasonable matinee prices and lounge chairs that recline. read more

It's a very small and basic mall but it's a mall! After they closed down Forever 21 I was very disappointed. They have most of what I need but for other people I know it's lacking. The places I visit frequently is H&M, Charlotte Russe, Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Francesca's and Hollister. There's the big department stores like Macy's and JC Penny and you get a lot of great deals and always have sales going on. The places to eat and drink is cool, there's Chipotle, Starbucks, Charley's (yay!), Menchie's (yum!), Cinnabon, Braganza and a few other fast order places. Right outside the mall you can find Olive Garden and Applebee's if you want something more. There's also the movie theater there and everyone enjoys going to that one. Capital Mall is a nice shopping destination within a short drive to the Capital, downtown Olympia, and some nice parks. I like that it has a movie theatre and popular stores. I do not like it's puny 4 stall food court. There is also a wide variety of other stores such as Trader Joe's, Target, Homegoods, TJ Maxx, and Ross in the parking lots surrounding the mall. If you'd like sit down dining, there are a variety of restaurants inside and around the mall too. Parking can get busy but we found spots on the outskirts near the movie theatre within a moderate distance. read more

Kinda small in overall square footage, yet cozy. There is a Best Buy location within the mall as well as another Best Buy Mobile location, with the former seeming to be a bit odd in placement considering that most Best Buys are standalone stores. The food court has a few decent selections, yet no restaurants that are that much different than what you'll see at a Westfield mall location. I truly like the Ikea-type wooden chairs at every food court table. Parking doesn't seem to be so bad, yet wait until the holidays to observe any limitations. Mall: The mall on the outside looks large and daunting but sadly the inside is small, like a reverse Narnia, some stores are overcrowded. Stores: The variety is sparse, lots of the stores sell almost the exact same thing as each other. Food: Sadly, half of the food court was taken by a poorly stocked HnM. Some of the businesses open on time and have them merchandise they advertise online. Others seem to pick and choose their hours, and their merchandise does not match what is expected or what is advertised online. This place is hit or miss for shopping. read more

Not a very good mall. Just within a year lots of stores and shops closed or moved out. Of course they would have major brands like Best Buy, Macy's, Jc Penney's, H&M or Victoria's Secret but honestly that's nothing incredibly special. Other than that there's a few boutiques and a movie theater and that's probably what keeps the entire mall alive in my opinion. I rather go to the Tacoma Mall simply because there's more stores and options and has a better atmosphere. read more

I used to spend literally days of my life at the Capital Mall on weekends with my friends pacing back and forth checking out cute guys. Yes, I was one of those girls. But going to the mall now, I can't even recognize it, besides the basic floor plan. So many stores from my childhood are gone, but before you have time to notice, a bigger and cooler store takes its place. I have to say the mall does a great job of preventing valuable space from being empty for long. The only part that doesn't seem to g e caught up is the food court. Something about the lighting or set up of the food court always gives it the feel that there isn't anything to pick from. Plus there is no Orange Julius and that was my favorite hangout as a pimply pre-teen. I like the open air shopping concept that is being developed, with covered walkways to protect shoppers from the PNW elements, that is a very positive touch. And while there is very little room for small business shopping which is a major downside, it is nice to be able to get just about everything you want in one place. But don't forget to shop local once and awhile people! read more

It's just okay. There are some standard mall stores, a couple of unique options. The food options seriously suck. Very limited options. There are two pretzel places, two sub places, two Asian places, Chipotle, and some dessert options. There's a small indoor play area for little kids. Lots of empty/fly-by-night stores. read more

I've been going to this mall for roughly 14 years, largely because I've lived here that long. In that time it became a Westfield Mall and then, thank goodness, later stopped being one. There are some decent shops like you'd expect in any mall and there's a theater... there's also no longer any videostores or bookstores and a foodcourt with no Orange Julius (seriously, is it even a mall without one of those?). My main complaint, the big reason I rated the mall so low, is the fact that it isn't comfortable. There isn't much seating and it's always hot as hell in there. No matter what season it is, rain, shine, or snow, it's always like 80 degrees inside the mall. How am I supposed to relax and buy stuff if I'm sweating through my clothes? It's either negligence or a ploy to sell more frozen yogurt, either way it sucks. read more

They have allowed a scam company to rent a kiosk at the mall. Yesterday for Black Friday, I was ripped off for $114.30 for "The Wonder Pax". Right out of the box, scalded my elderly mother, then would not return to proper gel solution. Leaked, and the vendor LIED HIS ASS OFF saying I could return the product for a REFUND if I had any problems, and that it had a lifetime warranty.. I was texted a receipt later that says NO refunds, NO warranty! He also LIED about the solution mixer in the gel packets, stating that it was just vinegar and water. NOPE! I currently survive off of $760 dollars a month BEFORE paying My BILLS and MY MOM'S electric bill! I cannot afford the HUGE WASTE of money this was!! Even thinking of contacting KOMO news over this one! The Better Business Bureau has a warning for this company on it's website I came to find out this morning. So DO NOT!!! Avoid shopping here at all cost! There is absolutely no security in the parking lot. My car was vandalized parked directly in front of Best Buy. This mall has taken shortcuts and not protected consumers who shop here, including not having basic video surveillance outside of mall entrance. A simple video camera would have caught this incident. We are very disappointed at the Capital Mall since they decimated their food court to put in H&M. They have put a family business, Thaiway Express and the pizza place, out of business. We will need to find a new venue for after church! read more

This mall is seriously bipolar. Stated hours are that they're open until 9, but Macy's and half of the other stores decide to close at 8. And the mall itself can't seem to decide if they're trying be family friendly or trying to gear up for hipster hell. You know those chairs that you pay $5 for 3 minutes that massage you..... the ones you can't sit in unless you pay the $5 because if you sit in them without paying you get this Thing that comes out of the back of the chair and tries to hatch out of the back of your spine like a Parasite alien.... well my weary Mall shoping cohorts... there is a way to sit in those chairs as long as you like and actually be comfortable.... under the chair there's a metal plate take that off turn the power off to the chair and Wallah hours of comfortable sitting on your ass read more

Capital Mall is a model for family restrooms! The restroom includes several individual changing stations with personal sinks and trash. They even have bottle and wipe warmers. The restroom also includes three private nursing rooms complete with nursing - friendly chairs. Includes race cars and tables and chairs for the children. They also have a TV screen with children's programming. This feels more like a family lounge than restroom. Kudos to Capital Mall for creating this family-friendly space! read more

Today my sister and I went shopping. My sister had to use the restroom and the cleaning lady was sleeping in the stall she was using, when it came time to wash hands the cleaning lady started spraying the stall she used, then started to spray her while she was walking out of the restroom. Then, the cleaning ladies cleaning cart was blocking the entrance and my sister was trying to move this gigantic cleaning cart and the cleaning lady continued to spray her and she had the nerve to get mad at my sister!! Not to mention the restroom wasn't even cleaned and it was at 10am!!! read more

This mall is not that big and not too small it is just right. You can find whatever you are looking for very easily. Parking is pretty good. Great shops and phone stores and there is even a kids place for kids to play at while the parents are shopping. They even have a theater which is awesome. The Capital mall is always a very lively place. Stores always have new sales that are to die for! I go into Victorias sexret a lot and absolutely love the deals they do. Usually buy a certain amount and get something free with the purchase. Will always continue to shop here. Food court is always clean and the thai way place is a preference when going for food. Not as big as I expected but still large. Enjoy being there! Most of the employees are respectful and helpful. read more

I was not given a discount with red and was not offered! This was when I bought my gown. But the girls in shoes were fantastic!

Today I took my grandson to pick out a ring for his mother. We had a budget and a few photo choices she gave for him look at. The person helping us was perfect. I am very sorry I did not get her name, but I did get a picture of a part of the event. Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and my 8 year grandson took this job very seriously, we asked for the Macy's rep to show us the rings that his mom picked and then we asked for other suggestions in that price range. This amazing lady treated him so professionally, she was patient, and answered his many questions (is it real? how much is the cost of this one? can I see another choice?) Finally he picked a ring he loved, and she kindly took the funds from him and boxed the treasured gift. I just stood back with pride at him working with her.
