I love this store. BUT it is expensive as far as these kind of stores go. It is similar to TJ Max, Marshalls, Ross....you get the idea. The store is clean and I've seen employees get their temperatures scanned when they come in the store. There are arrows on the floor that indicate which direction to shop in. They have a decent selection of Kitchen Aid gadgets but their prices are higher than Ross or TJ Maxx. I've found some great items here. read more

This location is on the lower spectrum of the Homegoods that I've been to and only because the store is a little scrambled. I was able to find curtain rods in 3 completely different sections of the store. The selection of fake plants/flowers is only about as half as good as the other locations I've been to and these seemed more dusty and scruffed up, especially on the white plants. Their wall decor towards the right of the store needs a lot of work! The canvas paintings are all over the place. Normally, you'd see sections beings placed from small to large so that you could see parts of the backgrounds but they have it set up so all the same sizes are stacked - this would be okay if it was the same art piece but they were all different. It made it hard to see things in the back or search for certain colors. Also, during checkout, and for those of you who are familiar with their rewards program, none of the cashiers seem to ask any of the customers if they had their cards handy. I completely forgotten about mine and ended up calling the number to get credit for my purchase. Ohhhhh, and one more thing- not really store related but the parking spaces are ridiculously small!!! From what I could tell, everyone was perfectly parked in between the lines but every other car had a space in the middle because the spaces are too narrow. read more

It is amazing that during this time a store would treat their customers who are coming in so poorly. It was said to be open at ten am. There was a line and people were lined up with social distancing outside of the overhang. Maybe 20 people. They decided this would be a perfect time to hold a meeting, in direct sight of customers and open the doors late. This is in Olympia so it was raining and cold. I checked the name tag of the "leader" of the meeting on my way in. It was Stephanie Williamson. Poor timing and terrible optics. read more

I had a return without the receipt and thought having the card I paid with would work but was okay with store credit if needed. The cashier was snarky when I told her i had my card instead of the receipt. She made little to no eye contact and wasn't trying to spark any type of conversation which was awakened considering the other 4/5 cashiers were being friendly. While waiting for her to finish the store credit process a woman at the neighboring register just was without a mask on. That definitely made me incredibly uncomfortable for a multitude of reasons. They actually allowed her to shop and take her time with her shopping even though she didn't meet the minimum state requirement of just wearing a mask. Additionally there were just a ton of people in the store. I couldn't confirm how many people were in the store but it had more than I'd be used to at homegoods during a pandemic. This is now my second homegoods experience that was less than savory. The first was at the one in puyallup where a cashier openly admitted she wished she could shoot a shoplifter after a shop lifting incident took place and now this experience where they seem to not care about everyone's customer experience nor take the pandemic seriously so long as they make that $100 extra in sales. read more

Totally unprofessional, their new hires are appalling. Who trains them, anyone? A cashier charged a customer twice for a item on Dec 20th 2018, late afternoon. I saw this customer leave then come right back in when she discovered it, she let cashier know and the cashier told her to get back in line, a very long holiday line, UNBELIEVABLE! Meanwhile the other cashier couldn't get the register to work for her. They didn't bother calling a supervisor for the help they clearly needed. No accountability of their own errors, customer pays the price! Please stop hiring lazy, inept people! I put my items back after witnessing this while in line and I was next, did not want to deal with inept cashiers or irresponsible overcharges/theft. Won't give HomeGoods any more of my money. If you have a compulsion for department store rejects/old stock many of which are damaged in some form or another, and like to wait awhile in lines, Home Goods is the place for you. The store focuses more on stocking junk than tending to the cash register. Again if you're a bargain shopper who loves rejected inventory this is the place for you, enjoy. Not my forte when I can find perfect condition items online or in professional stores, still if you're bored enough you might find yourself buying rejected slightly damaged overstock here, but at full price, the "so called" discounts are a illusion. read more

Went in to get candlestick holder The store was so crowed and people are rude. Was waiting in line like your supposed to and as my turn came the woman pushed her way in asked her several time to not be that close no on even tried to have her go in proper line but she refused and was pushing me out of place to pay. Truly disappointed with the store. Also tooo many people no social distance at all anywhere. I won't go back. Staff was pretty rude and watch your receipt they like to charge you fir something when you don't even have it. read more

First to review!!! I'm so excited for this location because it's pretty much in the perfect spot. So close to all the shopping, well deserved for the City of Olympia:) This location is located just off the Black Lake Mall exit, right next to the Cost Plus World Market. If you are new to the area here's the lowdown, the City of Olympia is plastic bag free place. So be sure to bring your reusable bags or expect to pay a 5¢ fee. That's your first warning if you aren't use to this... YOUR WELCOME!!! If you are new to HomeGoods, well... Where have you been? HomeGoods sells just what it's name says. Being part of the TJX Companies like Marshall's and TJ Maxx (HomeSense and TK Maxx outside the U.S.) they all have the common theme, goods for less. They aren't like Big Lots or Ross stores. Though they do have products priced lower than department stores like those two stores, you can expect to find a more pleasant shopping experience. And cleaner at the most! This location is beautifully laid out and filled with amazing and unique products! Parking is a hit or miss but it's expected of the area and shops nearby. The store is about the same size of the Federal Way store so it's great if you are in the area and if you are willing to drive to find just what unique items you can find from the other locations :) read more

This store is very organized and has a great selection of home decor. I looked for a sky blue floor vase for months and without trying, I stumbled upon it just Saturday here. Not 1 but 2! It's a really awesome store and the staff seem to be pretty helpful read more

Well the cashier was taking gore to wrap the lady's stuff saying "I'm not trying to be slow". I love this store for the home decor, although sometimes it seems a little bare for a Home Goods. My biggest complaint would be several of the employees that have terrible attitudes, like you're intruding in their territory and don't want to be there... this is particularly for the older ladies that work there. read more
