Just a few minutes ago, customers found a dog outside in the target parking lot, howling, barking and "screaming" because it was overheated - it is 72° outside and this car was in the sun so the temperature inside could have varied between 120 to 150° based on how long it had been in there. It was panting and very distressed and clawing at the windows and doors. There was about 10 of us surrounding the car outside and one brought the dog out to give it cold water., while another person went inside target to report this to the management and hopefully get their help to identify at least call over the intercom to owners of the car which was described to them. They went to the customer service desk where staff laughed at them and said that was not a problem. I went into the store when that person came out and said what had happened and told them that it was against the law for a dog to be in a hot car And they rolled their eyes at me, even when I tried to show them the law online. We have to be responsible for our animals! And this response of laughing at people who are trying to take care of defenseless and abused animals is unacceptable. Police had been called, but they were unable to respond and after several attempts, they said that it would be OK to take the dog to joint animal services so that's what another caring person was able to do that was among our group. I also contacted the target ethics hotline to let them know that training needed to happen for their staff who laughed at us and rolled their eyes and refused to even take accountability or escalate it to management. At this point, it is documented and is being escalated to management and will be followed up corporately. read more

The website inventory does not accurately reflect what is actually in the store. Two consecutive times, the website said items were in the store only to find that item was nowhere to be found. The first time an order was placed and confirmed, only to be contacted later and told the item was not available. An unnecessary waste of time. Not only is it a generally messy store, but with only 4 self checkouts and only ever 2-3 check stands open, either they should have more registers open, considering multiple employees were just watching the lines, or invest in more self checkout stands. read more

I dread going into this store the way most people dread going into Walmart. In fact, I'd rather make the drive to Tumwater to shop at Walmart than shop at this Target a couple blocks from home. Always crowded, very few employees and they never have registers open to meet the number of customers. There are 11 registers that I can see, yet only one of them was open, and the line there of course backed up into the store.. Meanwhile the line for the self check out was 12 deep. I counted. I was number four. They are only 4 self check out machines so do the math. You'll be in line longer than you spent shopping. Not that I need any other reason to not like this store, but they also have way too many items with prices missing, and way too many items just plain not there. read more

The worst shopping experience every single time I go. I don't know why I always forget how much I hate this store, but like an Alzheimer's patient, I wander in as if things are great and leave within five minutes looking like Donald Duck who just lost a fight with Chip and Dale. No matter when you enter, there will be at least two security guards at the door just talking with each other. You'll also see no less than five staff members standing around watching the line at self checkout (which is the only checkout location open out of 12 registers!) I just left there madder than I've ever been in a store because, again, I forgot how much they don't care about the customer there. The line was at least 60 people long-I lost count-and the staff was just standing there looking at people. I've been reading about Target stock taking a dive... good.... this store would be better off closed. Don't bother driving to the Lacey location on Sleater-Kinney either because it's just as bad. I need to find a way to remember how much I hate shopping at Target before I waltz on the door and instantly feel my blood begin to boil. Good riddance, Target. This target is a nightmare to go to most of the time. Every single time I go the aisles are full of stuff needing put on the shelves with pallets and carts full of items through the entire store. It is never a pleasant shopping experience when I can't get my cart through to get items I'm looking for. I'll gladly go to the target 10 minutes up the freeway before going to this one which is only 2 minutes from my house. For reference that photo was taken around 3pm on a week day. The store will look the same no matter what time you come any other day of the week. One day they were even completely redoing the makeup aisle in the middle of the afternoon and there was nothing on the shelves. Why can't they do this while the store is closed or overnight like any other target or any other store? They don't seem to care about customers being able to shop. read more

Not our best trip to Target today. We saved about $150 leaving our stuff behind though. The line to checkout was very, very long. Only self check and register 2 were open. There was ZERO noticeable effort to get more cashiers to the front. Our cart contained items we wanted but didn't need. Since they didn't want our money we left the cart for them to put the stuff away. I don't like doing that but how else are they going to know about the sale they missed? 7/2023 Great store- but like many stores nowadays- they need actual cashiers. Usually there is only two cashiers and about a dozen empty registers. The line for self-checkout is often the length of half the store. I have walked out without my purchases twice. I have done the "order online for pick-up" probably fifteen times in the last few years. It is handy and I've only had a minor issue once. However if everyone does that then they need employee shoppers and not cashiers. But- if the line wasn't so long normally I wouldn't use the online ordering. I appreciate this store and only wish they had more cashiers during peak times (which they can figure out). Thanks! read more

I tried the online order with in-store pick-up. I ordered five items, all supposedly in stock. When I get to the store two hours later, they only delivered three items. All the negative reviews seem to be for things I've never experienced, like checking stock online before going in, the Starbucks, or returns. I will say that their return policy has a lot to be desired compared to other retailers, but I think in my life I've only had to return something to Target maybe twice and I didn't have any issues. When I go in to Target, it's because I'm bored. I need things that I know I can get cheaper someplace else, but I like Target. The employees don't harass you (they'd probably rather you just leave them alone and I'm totally cool with that). I have no complaints. It's a good store for random browsing with little to no idea what I ACTUALLY want, and somehow I usually end up spending WAY more than I intended. read more

I am done with this store. I live 30 miles away and have been a loyal customer for many years but this last month demonstrates a serious issue in the services they offer. As I live a bit aways I prefer to use the drive-up order option on their app. In the past, they have been able to fulfill these orders in about two hours which is the advertised time frame when you complete an order. Over the last month I have placed three orders and all of them took over six hours to fulfil. And they were only fulfilled once I called the 800 number, issued a complaint and the call center contacted the store. Today was no different except that I had not called customer service. I went into the store and went directly to customer service. There were no cars in the drive-up spaces but there were four employees standing around customer service joking around but doing nothing productive The customer service supervisor told me to go pickup the items and they would offer a 10% discount for the inconvenience. Frustrated at doing a service that they provide and were obviously capable of doing I went and found the items. All but one (25' HDMI cable) that the app showed in stock but I confirmed with the sales person in that department that they only carried a higher priced unit on the wall. I grabbed it and returned to Customer service. I explained the issue with the cable and the cashier shrugged and rang it up at the higher price. I told her to hold on and asked to speak with the Store Manager. The young man that I had originally spoke to came up and said he was the Supervisor and I asked if he was the store manager. He said no and I repeated that I wanted to discuss this with the store manager. He explained that the store manager was not on but would get the main Supervisor on duty. This guy walked in and asked "so, what's the deal?" I could see he was frustrated with having to leave whatever task he was working on. I explained the situation and explained that this is the third time i have had to wait over 6 hours for a pickup order, showed him the issue with the HDMI cable and asked how he can make this right. He looked me in the eyes and said, "I'm not going to make this right." I asked for his name and he said, "I'm not going to give that to you" and walked off. I then turned to the lady at the counter and the Supervisor and said I will just take the items that I are on my list then. They told me to cancel the online order and pay separately. This made no sense. I asked if they could just check them in on my order and remove the one item that isn't in stock since i had already paid for that order and they said they couldn't do that. I was completely dumbstruck. I just left at that point went to my car and called the 800 number again. This time they said they issued a $15 gift card and filed a formal complaint that would reach the store manager. He assured me he would email a copy of the complaint. We ended the call and I drove home empty handed. I still have not recieved the email or gift card. read more

It's gotten to the point where I avoid going here anytime possible & try to go to Lacey as my primary (Lacey has more of an inventory selection anyway). I shop at this store every once in a while, but it's not my preferred location. The layout is completely opposite of the locations I normally shop at, so it's always a surprise when I first enter the store. It seems a bit more cluttered than other Target locations, and I think that factors in to my satisfaction of this store. I've never had any problems here, and the team members are friendly. The thing I like best about this location is the fact that they offer self-checkout. Out of all the Target locations in the Puget Sound area, this is the only one I've ever seen offer self-checkout which is my preferred method. It seems like no matter which Target I go to, there are never enough cashiers open and there is always a line. Another plus is the $0.05 recycled bag credit. I never use plastic bags and always bring my own. I like the fact that Target rewards their customers for their recyclable efforts by offering a $0.05 credit for each bag that you bring. It might not be a huge discount, but they're one of the very few shops that actually offer it. read more

THEY DO NOT ENFORCE MASK MANDATE--do not shop here! Or if you must, get it online/curbside pickup. I watched a family walk in unmasked, the workers at the front asked if they needed masks and the family declined. The workers let them continue to enter anyway; I saw three more unmasked groups as I shopped. Target has enough $$ to figure out how to enforce masks safely and successfully. Also to teach employees how to wear masks....the employee spoke with about the lack of mask enforcement had their mask worn below their nose. My two friends and I got off work and heading to this target for a few items, ended up spending over $200 amongst ourselves. When leaving, a male employee stopped us abruptly asking for receipts, in a rude manner implying that we had STOLEN something not checking the couple before us or the gentlemen behind us. We would have never taken anything and just feel deeply insulted as we are regular patrons. I usually shop at the Lacey Target but I came to this location last night to buy some things for a new apartment I'm moving into. After I checked out, the cashier told me that her register wouldn't print a receipt. I asked if they could email it and she said no, the transaction was ended. I explained that I needed a receipt in case I need to return any items, it's stuff for a new place and what if it doesn't fit or whatever else. After much back and forth with a very snotty cashier and her manager, the manager told me she could print a receipt upstairs but I wouldn't be able to use it for a return?????? I asked her to do that, and when she gave me the paperwork it had another person's full name and credit card info on it! I brought it back inside and told the manager what it was, and her response was a glib, "Thank you, have a great night!" The receipt was an issue but the bigger problem was the extremely poor service. A customer with an issue shouldn't be treated as a major inconvenience that they just want to get rid of. I really didn't appreciate the lack of concern about giving out personal information, and the rude answer when I brought it to the manager's attention. At least their corporate customer service seemed concerned when I filed a complaint. I'll be sticking to the Lacey Target even though this location is much closer to my new home. read more

As I was strolling around the adventurous aisles of Target, a certain bag of cotton balls appeared out of the corner of my eye. I was flabbergasted by the amount of cotton balls that the cover wrapper said there were. 200. But as I took a closer look at this extraordinary bag of cotton balls, I noticed that they're were only around 50. I immediately realized that these cotton balls were a scam and a major rip-off. first off the security are very ignorant and rude. My daughter and her friends with sitting in a cart and one was pushing and a security lady yelled at them to get out of the cart and put it away. I get she's doing her job but they are kids still i was 4 rows away from them and i could hear them getting yelled at. Learn to respect your customers target. Also the bathrooms are DISGUSTING and people don't know how to keep their mask up over their nose. This last time (today) I was there an extrodiarly tall woman delivered my food without a smile dumping it on the counter. I have never needed something at target that required looking it up and going to see if said item was stocked at store only to find out it wasn't.... so I guess if you don't need that and are just buying groceries... makeup... kitchen ware... shopping for clothes target has ya covered. They recently remodeled and got rid of the cafe. So it no longer smells like gross over indulgence or kettle corn as soon as you enter. They do have a Starbucks in store. Everytime I go to target they have what I need. I can never find bleach hair dye there but that's not a biggie I'll go else where. My only complaint is That I can never find an employee to help me find things... so I'm left to wander but I usually always find it even if I spend a longer amount of time and because of that purchase more than I needed read more

This Target store is currently undergoing a remodel. While it's nice they are updating the store I'm super bummed that they got rid of the Target Cafe. It's always a tradition for my son and I to get a pretzel at the cafe and now we can't do that at this store. Also, the store seems darker inside and not as inviting. I hope once the remodel is finished it will have a more inviting appeal but for now it doesn't seem very friendly. I'll shop at the other store until this remodel is over. read more

The Starbucks employees in this Target store are really rude. I went here more than a handful of times while shopping at Target and these workers are so rude!!! They don't say anything negative but their body language is awful. The first guy I remembered him clearly because he was very awful. He dressed emo/punk along with dyed black hair. This store has so much trouble keeping the right things in stock. Going in the summer, no chance they have an air conditioner or even a fan (they were out much before the rest of Western Washington). Going the second week in December, they were almost completely out of Christmas lights. They were also out of ice scrapers. I think they managed to keep Halloween candy in stock... somehow.
