This probably goes for all Target stores... don't ever lose your receipt! It's okay, they can look it up on the card you purchased the item with, but no really that's a bunch of crock. Tried to return an item that was purchased on my one and only debit card, without a receipt. The woman working at guest service says no problem, just insert the card you purchased it with. I did. She tells me it's not showing up on that card, is there another card you purchased it on? I say no, this is my only card, THIS is the card I purchased it on less than a month ago! So I leave the store and go scour my car and end up finding the receipt. Come back in, she scans the item to return then asks if I have the card I purchased it with for the refund. Yep, here it is the SAME card you swiped and couldn't find the item on. This is how target gets you, they pretend they have your back and all items will show up in a card, but this is false. I love Target in general, but this store is definitely not setting the standard. It's smaller than the Lacey store, so not as wide a selection. For someone who likes to shop for clothes, it's kind of annoying since I'm always on the hunt for that one size. I guess you could say organization for the clothes is a little subpar, in that case. What I find amusing is that most of the clerks seem pretty miserable, and yet the rest of the employees are pretty nice and helpful. Like, why did they put the most unsociable and unlikable people up front, with some exceptions? I did have a great experience at Customer Service. I came to attempt to return some jeans that I'd already washed, in hopes of them shrinking (since I couldn't find my size). There's are no 0 stars or I would rate them that, my wife and got there early for a NES mini, we were informed day prior that they would be selling them today at 6pm? So we were some of 1st ones on line, the manager even came out and spoke with us saying they would be 1st come 1st serve at about 4pm and then 15 min prior opening a security guy came out and said they won't be selling them today! I love Target but this is the worst one I have ever been to. The shelves were barely stocked. They didn't have my mop head, pastry cloth or hair leave in conditioner.....all things which I regularly buy at my local Target. But the worst was I went in on Dec 26 looking for sale Christmas items. The shelves were empty and boxes filled with Christmas stuff already packed! I get it that its easy to go here, where there is so much under one roof, but dear god it is so depressing!! Every body looks miserable. There is a kind of film on everything, so that it feels dirty. The prices are low but the quality is crap. You will have to throw it away with in a year when it breaks. Don't go here. I have caught them trying to sell expired infant formula 3x!!! I have talked to 2 "store managers" and nothing got done by either of them. Its disgusting and dangerous! The last time I noticed after I had told them about it, they even put it on sale! If you have ever had to use formula you know when you buy them they are typically good for at least a year, so its pretty bad they obviously havent worked their shelves recently. read more

This Target just got a remodel. It looks like a Walmart now: sterile and impersonal. The Target Cafe has been removed and replaced with a returns center. The best part about a trip to Target was the Icees and pretzels. Bring them back and go back to being Target not Walmart! read more

I don't know why there are so many Target haters, but this target is actually one of the nicer ones I've been in. They just remodeled so they now have a grocery section, which has competitive prices. I recommend buying beer here because it is waaaay cheaper than anywhere else in Olympia. They have a smaller selection, but this is my go-to place for Shock Top. Anyway, the store is huge, clean, and the people working there were pretty friendly. No complaints here! read more

I'm a consistent customer at this Target. I come here all the time and even know some of the employees. Today I went to pick up some deodorant and dry shampoo. After I was done checking out a small, short, middle aged man, with short brown hair, and a beard approached me. He stopped me and told me that I had one chance to "return the stolen items". I have PTSD and struggle with anxiety problems, so I began to freak out. I tried to tell him that I did not steal anything. Which he then tried to forcefully take my bags (purse and bag from checking out) away from me. I took a step back and told him that he was being ridiculous and did not have a permit or the right to look through my personal belongings. He then tried to "arrest" me, under false accusations. Which I then had to call my lawyer and boyfriend to come and help. I'm only 17 and this was extremely traumatizing for me. The man did not apologize, even after being proved wrong and after my lawyer and boyfriend both came down to talk to security. We basically had to threaten to sue target and the man for falsely accusing me of stealing and then trying to obtain/trap me at Target. The crazy part is, is that HE NEVER GOT FIRED. I do not recommend going here. And I hope that he gets fired at some point. read more

I went online last night and found a couple items that showed in stock at this location. When I got to the store I found the product I was looking for it just was not in the scent I saw online. I asked a woman walking by if she could help me find it in the other scents. She said since it was not right next to the other one they didn't have it. I asked her if she could pull it up and look at the story inventory. She told me no. Now that doesn't make any sense to me. After questioning her about it she asked me to hang on and said she would be right back. I waited a couple minutes when she didn't come back I kept looking down the isles near by. After looking I found the product I was looking for in the scent I was looking for. Guess what it was not next to the other one. Here's the thing I would not have been upset if she said said hey I'm new I'm not sure how to do this, let me grab someone to find out how. Instead of lying and wasting my time. read more

Once I bought some fancy glasses invidiually. When I left the store, one of them got rung up as a set of dishes. WTF? So, I went back to store and big surprise, they thought I was pulling a scam. It really upset me that they thought I was lying and I mean in the tearful way, not the yelling way. The manager on duty claimed he'd have to review the security footage. Fine by me. Of course, he never called me back. So I went back in a few days and the manager on duty gave me my money back. I'm still a customer, I just pay attention to what is rung up. read more

I love this target. Everybody is so nice and energetic and willing to help at every corner. I came in right at open one morning and was greeted with friendly smiles and welcomes. This one younger gentleman sticks into my mind from that morning. He made sure I was finding everything that I needed while he was stocking shelves and had a casual conversation which brightened my mood. I haven't seen him since or caught his name but he was an excellent worker. I also am writing this for a name I DID catch. Lori. She is a cashier and such a happy, energetic woman. We came through her line and I am SO glad we did. We shared a heartfelt conversation as she was bagging our items about a coworkers recent passing, may they Rest In Peace. We hugged and laughed about drive-through windows (you had to be there to get it) but she brightened my mood all together since I have had some death recently too. I will rave about this lady for the rest of my life. The best customer service experience I have had so far. She deserves a raise! read more

The only reason these guys are getting one star is for previous service, and it's the minimum. Yesterday, I came in for a Pokemon-related item that I saw last week and knew they carried. I asked a worked named Cecil if they were expecting a shipment of that item soon, since it was out on the shelf. He said, "the Pokemon game? No." I explained again that it was not the game I was looking for, but a particular item I saw on the shelf last week. I described what it was to him for the second time. He didn't look up as he said they didn't carry it. Obviously, I had just seen it days before. I told him where I found it on the shelf and said that of course they must have carried it. He didn't look up and told me they were out. At this time, he started helping a woman behind me. Also, let me remind you that he didn't bother to understand what I was talking about and initially told me they didn't carry it. It was very clear to me that he was just trying to get rid of me, though this was a large purchase. I asked if he could at least look it up. He finished up with the customer he was helping simultaneously with me and literally shouted no. I was so put off, I put my entire purchase back and told everyone with me to do the same, about $500 worth of merchandise. Mind you, I was Christmas shopping after working several 8.5-hour shifts in a row at a similar customer service job without berating, shaming, or embarrassing a customer. On my very worst day in customer service, I would never treat a customer as bad as this employee, Cecil, treated me. read more

I love target. But i had an awful experience at the target here. I was looking at make up and taking my time looking at everything and one employee was following me around watching my every move like she was waiting for me to do something. It made me very uncomfortable. Once I actually grabbed a tube of lip stick i took the tester that was out and traced it on my hand to see the color. and she immediately yelled at me that I'm not allowed to test out the products and I explained to her that this tube was already opened and used so i thought it was the tester, and she got all mad and explained to me that other customers must have used it but its not meant to be a tester. and she just continued to follow me through the aisles as i browsed. Didn't end up buying anything and went to another target location because i was appalled but the horrible customer service i had gotten from this employee. I had no intention of stealing ANYTHING and had done nothing. This target will not be getting my business anymore. read more

Great target location. Clean, stocked (except a few market items that tend to run low regularly), and great staff. I went in the other day with an extreme case of vertigo, looking for Dramamine but barely able to scan the shelves to find it I was so sick. A woman who worked there, but was off duty and shopping for herself, saw my struggle and offered to help me find what I was looking for. I would give zero stars if I could my son and daughter in law went to go and buy a computer and printer and asked several associates to please assist them, no one had access to keys!! Asked for a manager and was told there was no one that could help them, so disappointed We will go to Fred Meyer next time!! Not one employee was willing to give them the time of day! read more

The store was neat and clean they had people to help you everywhere. My only complaint is that when I went to check out the cashier just waded up all the clothes I bought and shoved then in a bag. Even Walmart folds your clothes. I went as soon as the store opened there we no lines but they couldn't even take the time to attempt to fold my clothes. read more

My family shops there a lot. We buy most of our baby things & household items there. I went there earlier today to pick up an online order & thought I could make it a one-stop & get some quarters so I could finish my laundry. I asked the cashier if I could buy a roll of quarters, she said no because they cost the store. I asked if I could get ANY quarters, she said no! Couldn't even spare one dollar in quarters?! I had my 5 month old baby with me & was really hoping to avoid another stop. I consider that very poor customer service. It's bad/inconvenient enough that I live in an apt complex & have to pay for laundry. But I had to go to Safeway for quarters & they had absolutely no problem with it. The girl at that Target was rude & so obviously didn't care. Most of the people working there are either SUPER weird or just unfriendly. And they don't seem to train the cashiers on how to bag things. They'll put heavy items on top of chips & was your clothes up. It's like they don't even have common sense sometimes. Today made me want to shop at Walmart instead. read more
