These people are top notch. We hired them to reupholster the interior of our sailboat, which was looking a little sad, honestly. We also needed a new cushion and for another cushion to be extended. They were more than happy to talk us through the process, give us plenty of time to find the PERFECT fabric, and work within our budget. It was a wait for the finished product, but it was well worth it. Finally, (this was pre-COVID, keep in mind) when I went to pick up the cushions, they saw how difficult it was going to be to fit them in my car. They spontaneously decided to deliver the cushions for me, walk them down to my boat with me, and help me put them in place. Because they went above and beyond like this, they noticed that one of the cushions didn't fit in the space perfectly. I probably would have just let it be, but they wanted to take it back and make it better, so I let them. The finished product is gorgeous and exactly what I wanted! Check for the vertical seems in the picture (don't mind the cat). Bet you can't find 'em, but they're there. Trust me. They're just really well matched. My only regret is that I tried to save money by splicing new and old foam together. I think I should have just bought an all new cushion on the settee. Old foam and new foam are just never quite the same. But that was my fault, and it's something I can easily change in the future. Honestly, they did a marvelous job! They did an awesome job and we couldn't be happier. We are doing the new digs a little at a time. We like Cannon Beach and Iron Springs, so we wanted to get a beach vibe in the bedroom. We put in wood floors -- coinky-dinky the style/type is called Cannon Beach. We bought a set of beachy-looking white-distressed bedroom furniture from Oly Furniture, and then went on to have the antique wing-back chair redone. We also had them do some matching bed pillows of a different fabric. It all goes together perfectly. By the way, they have a ginormous selection of fabrics. It's nice to know that you can get this quality of work in Olympia. Now the last thing is to get Olympic Blinds to put in new blinds and then we're done. read more

I ordered a new set of cushions for my 1968 Aloha travel trailer, a total of six cushions. Lisa took my initial measurements over the phone and sent me a bid within a few hours. The other store I called took two days to even call me back, much less give me a bid. The third store I called was not helpful and wanted me to drag in all my cushions before they even wrote up an estimate. This was an easy decision. I brought in my cushions and met Pam who had the brilliant idea to use remnant fabric to save on cost. She brought me several lovely fabrics and helped me narrow down my choices. Three weeks later I had a beautiful set of brand new, camper cushions for a reasonable price. I will post pictures when I finish the rehab on my trailer. I've already placed another order for more reupholstering and have nothing but good to say about the quality of the work and the talented and friendly staff. I had Urban reupholster 2 chairs. One was a Mid-Century Modern arm chair and the other was an antique Mission rocker. They completely rebuilt both chairs from the base up and upholstered them beautifully in leather. They even cleaned up the woodwork and glued up loose joints. I had Urban Upholstery re-do a bench in Scalamandre le Tigre fabric and a wingback chair in a Michael Smith fabric. One of the things I appreciate is that they totally got that I'm a fabric junkie and they saved every spare inch of the Tigre fabric so I could use it for another project. On the bench, they also touched up some spots that had been dinged so it looked like new and glued a loose leg so it was more secure. Another thing I appreciate about UU is the hip, personable people who work there. They're not afraid to be different and suggest unique treatments. I took in a sailboat wheel cover that I patched together for them to make a new one. I had no expectations since my patchwork was more of a "hold my beer and watch this" effort.
