I demand that the store surveillance footage be reviewed…read more With homecoming approaching, my daughter and I set out to look for a dress in the mall yesterday. She heard from her friends about Windsor, a totally unfamiliar name to us, and although with comments of poor customer service going around, we decided to check it out. It wouldn't hurt, right? We went in the store, and right away we saw girls from the same school also there looking for homecoming dresses. I had a pleasant conversation with another customer while waiting outside the fitting room. My daughter finally decided on one particular dress (Isabella Lace-Up Back Skater Dress) but that one was not in the best condition likely from being tried on numerous times. Unfortunately it was the only one available in the store. A girl working there told us they could order one for us, but she didn't know how yet. We were directed to talk to another girl about ordering. After waiting for a while for the other girl, she came out from the back room. I approached her with an "Excuse me," and, wait a minute, did I see a look of "why are you bothering me" on her face? "That can't be it. She is probably just busy," I thought to myself. She said yeah she could order for us and WALKED AWAY, continuing on with her important task. A quick response of "I'll be there with you in a couple minutes" would have been nice by the way. Here's the climax or more suitable of what went downhill from there: while patiently waiting for her to slowly finish what she was doing so she could help us, my daughter and I browsed the racks and shelves NEXT TO (I) and feet away IN FRONT OF (my daughter) the checkout counter. All of a sudden, she turned around and yelled: "You can't go back there!" My daughter and I looked at each other, puzzled, "Back where?" I asked. No answer. After a moment, I figured she probably meant the counter/cash register. Trying to assure her that we were not anywhere near it, I walked up to her and quickly explained. She stared at me and said nothing. FINALLY she came back to the counter, and I explained again where we were--not near, and definitely not behind the counter. Her response was a nonchalant "ok." Then she asked if we wanted to order. I decided right at the very last 0.5 second on "no." Her response was an abrupt "ok," accompanied with another nonchalant look. Before we left the store, I did get her name, KIM. As we were walking towards the door, I could see her cracking jokes with that other girl, likely about us. We then went to Macy's and bought our dress. It was quite a bit more money, but a good experience and my sanity was well worth the extra cost! I demand that the store surveillance footage be reviewed. The incident happened between around 15:30-16:00 on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Meridian Mall (Michigan) location. I will not be buying anything from Windsor, ever. Our very first visit was going to be our last. In addition, I want people to know about my first-hand experience. The bad reputation of poor customer service of Windsor is not a rumor. Our choice (of not giving them the business) is our voice and power as customers. I hope that, above all, we were not treated that way because we were wearing masks (Kim was not) and/or that we were minority. In the end, it did hurt. The fun of going dress-shopping was hurt. The belief in the existence of basic customer service in a fad fashion store was hurt.

You must come here for your t-shirt printing. You must. I'm not kidding…read more How can you not love RetroDuck? - a local business - quick turn around time - awesome website - amazing customer service - great products - great options for designing your own shirt and ordering pre-made ones My friends and I used RD for our shirts for bar crawls and other events are were not disappointed! :D

I officially LOVE RetroDuck…read more A group of seniors in my major decided to have a bar crawl the week before our last finals week. And at the last minute, we decided we wanted shirts as well. We threw together a pretty basic design (1 color, front-and-back design) and set out to find a local business that could screenprint a dozen shirts on such short notice (1 week). Turns out everyone in town was having bar crawls/BBQs/other end of the school year events and every screenprinting place I visited was SWAMPED. I even called a few places in Lansing, Holt, and Okemos. No one could turnaround the shirts in just a few days. Then I called RetroDuck and told them of my plight. "Sure we can do it, no problem." The customer service was great: I submitted my design via email and picked out a shirt color from their online catalog. RetroDuck emailed me back a few hours later with a graphic displaying how my design would look on the shirt I had picked out. I got to doublecheck the sizing of the design and everything. The shirts were done on time with no mistakes. After all was said and done, each shirt cost $11.90. Zero complaints.

My selling experience was generally positive - the staff clearly explained the buying/selling process and invited me to browse the store while they went through my items. Of course they want me to browse the store. If they're going to give me money, they want me to spend it in their store. Truth be told, I love secondhand stores and would've gladly bought some clothes if I'd found anything I wanted. First, there were far fewer clothes for men than for women (a point they note on their website to encourage men to donate). Second, the people who've been donating to this particular store clearly are college undergrads: half of the clothes are from American Eagle, and there are strong showings from Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister. Third, the men's jeans are generally outdated. Granted, I only looked in my sizes - there may be some stuff that I would wear in the wrong size. After 10 minutes or so, my clothes had been checked out. They accepted 4 items - 2 shirts and 2 pairs of Express Jeans - and said the rest of the clothes were too old. Incidentally, they kept the oldest item I brought (a dress shirt from Benneton), but I'm guessing they liked the label. In all, I don't completely understand what mystical process the staff uses to determine what to keep and what to give back, but I'm happy to take away a few dollars on clothes that I had just planned on giving away.

I've literally worked at plato's closet in Traverse City michigan, that location and this location are not good, but this one is much worse for selling, unless you want maybe enough money to buy yourself a happy meal after driving 30 minutes to the store.
