They don't give a s*** about the customer, their possessions, their own place of business. One employee in particular gives the entire atmosphere a stanky vibe. Does NOT go through items brought in, lies and denies to the point the other employee is deeply apologetic. She must be family of the owner because the other workers seem intimidated by her by heads down or getting out of her way. The place smells and their inventory is dated and/or skimpy. Kids grow up so fast, and being able to find affordable clothes including shoes has been a huge help. Also being able to sell for cash our outgrown clothes is super handy, instead of just dropping off at goodwill or tossing in the trash. read more

This place is an absolute joke! The last owners were nice but very unorganized I wasn't able to get in for month.. the new owner I met with today... good luck is all I have to say. I got there right after it opened and was third in line I was told "it shouldn't be long, about an hour or so" which was totally fine.. I ran a couple errands about 2 hours later I still haven't heard anything so I decided to go in and check on my order. I get there and they forgot about my whole bin. They apologized & told me they would get to it right now & would call when it was ready. I wait another hour so a total of 3 hours now with still no phone call!! I walk in and see my bin sitting there untouched. Her response was she doesn't have help, doesn't know what to tell me & never promised me it would be done today.. LOL I'm sorry, what!? So rude and unprofessional! She could have called me so I didn't have to wait in okemos all day. I live in Howell!! WTF read more

Okemos OUAC is always looking clean and the employees have always been nice while checking me out or when I bring a tote in to sell! This new owner is doing a great job and the store looks the nicest it has in years. read more

Sellers beware , This location is not an honest one , they lower the prices of the items you sell. If you have donated items they were most likely put a price tag on and sold instead of going to creditable charitys. The owner makes all decisions do not sell there!!!!!!! read more

My daughter and I love Once Upon a Child. She has sold her childhood toys for a great price. She uses some of the money to shop what she needs now. I buy wonderful priced items to donate to pregnancy services to help those who are in need. read more

I'm really on the fence about how I feel about OUAC-Okemos. I go there a lot and I highly value being able to purchase second hand. It's great for the environment. Kids use this stuff for such a short time so it doesn't make sense for everyone to buy new and waste so much. I'd love to see an expanded maternity section. I do find the membership program to be gimmicky. I just went there and bought something, now I have a week to use the coupon you sent? It's the same stuff I just passed up buying. Once or twice that I've been here, there have been some professionalism issues I've witnessed (but not been directly involved in). It makes me uncomfortable and more reluctant to return. read more

Sellers BEWARE! I visited the store at 10:20 a.m. with a bin containing high-end branded apparel such as Nike, Adidas, Jordan, and The North Face. My collection included various winter and spring jackets, shorts, shirts, joggers, pants, sweatshirts, and hoodies. After waiting for three hours, I returned to inquire about the status of my bin, only to overhear the store owner commenting that I might not be aware of how things "operate and that I must not understand the importance of taking breaks and having meals". I chose to wait outside the store after hearing this comment. Two additional hours had passed and after a five-hour wait, I was called back at 3:20 pm, following my initial drop-off at 10:20 am. The owner checked me out and informed me that they had taken "45-50" of my items, which I later realized was an understatement (it was MORE). I received $70 for the "50 items" which averages to $1.40 per item. The owner noted my surprised expression and commented that it was actually a good price, considering THEY typically PAY LESS. Feeling obligated due to the long wait and the presence of my children, I agreed to the price. However, I was taken aback while I am physically disabled and injured (my knee was wrapped in a medical brace) the owner told me to retrieve my bin from the back myself by climbing over other customers' bins. Because of the owner and her employees lack of mannerisms towards customers, their poor time management and unfair selling practices/ tactics I will not be supporting this location in the future and will instead donate. I should have read the reviews as others have had similar experiences with selling here. read more

I'm a bit disappointed in this OUAC store. There's very minimal buy back days and they're very particular with the items they buy back (inconsistent is a good way to put it) I know it may be due to lack of help and limited space, also since Tiny Town closed it may be getting the overflow from them. I hope to see an improvement since it really is a great store! read more

This location is small, but has a decent selection depending on the size you are looking for. Seems to have a larger selection for infant and toddler compared to children's sizes, which is one thing I wish they would work on. The best thing about this location specifically is they always have deals going on such as BOGO clothing, and percentages off your purchase. Overall, a good spot to get some clothes for those growing kiddos on a budget. read more

This location usually has a good selection of clothes and shoes. The problem is that they aren't consistent with the items they buy. I've bought clothing or shoes from them that got worn once and when I took them back to sell they wouldn't accept them. They have turned away some items saying they were too worn then I go shop and find clothing more worn than what I took to them. It makes me wonder why it's okay that they accept some very worn items but not others. read more

I have went into this store twice now and been treated poorly and turned away. First time I went to consign my kids clothes, they were on hangers, and was told they couldn't look at then unless in a box or tote and wouldn't even make an exception. So now I just went back with clothes in a box, like I was told, and clearly stated on their website a box or tote. Then they rudely tell me they can't look at then because not in a tote and I explained the website States a box is ok and I was told that on my last visit and they refuse to make an exception and blame corporate for not updating the website and the woman was rude. I will never go back again and I will tell everyone of their horrible customer service. read more
