We found EXACTLY the kind of couch we were looking for. We were flip-flopping between that and actually a more expensive one but Austin pointed out some things that helped us realize that higher priced one wouldn't work. THEN, we found out we could do 12 months same as cash. Pimp was sold. Oddly enough, the trip to the ladies room sealed the deal for me. The bathroom was tidier than my own at home. But when I asked Austin about whether they still "Scotch Guard" the furniture, and he explained how their company "didn't trust" that product to be safe for their customers, but had a protection policy instead ... what the helllllllll! I believe Bob's current financing practices are deceptive and potentially predatory toward…read morefinancially vulnerable consumers. I have been a Bob's customer and currently have a $7,400 Bob's credit line through Wells Fargo. I am still paying for a couch purchased from Bob's. I recently discovered that Bob's ended its relationship with Wells Fargo and will no longer accept my existing credit line for new purchases. I received no noticeable email, letter, or other notification from Bob's informing me that a credit line obtained specifically to shop there would become unusable. I can continue paying Wells Fargo, but if I want financing at Bob's again, I must apply for new credit. After researching why Bob's changed lenders, I became more concerned. Bob's replaced Wells Fargo with Synchrony as its primary financing provider and offers additional financing through companies including Fortiva, Acima and American First Finance. Bob's has publicly discussed higher approval rates and higher approved credit amounts under its new program. The Synchrony MyBob's Card currently discloses a 34.99% regular APR and up to a 39.99% penalty APR. Even more concerning, Bob's own disclosure states that Acima's standard 12-month lease-to-own option may cost MORE THAN DOUBLE the cash price. Bob's markets itself as a "discount" furniture retailer while offering increasingly expensive financing alternatives to consumers who may not qualify for traditional credit. Those consumers are often the people least able to absorb extremely high financing costs. I cannot claim to know Bob's intentions, but I believe this business model deserves consumer scrutiny. There is a difference between expanding access to furniture and creating progressively more expensive ways to complete a sale when a consumer cannot qualify for conventional financing. In my opinion, marketing "discount" furniture this way can leave vulnerable consumers paying anything but a discount.

When we said no, the friendly employee gave us the lay of the land and told us there are three floors to the store and that it's much bigger than it seems from the outside. Totally true! I always thought this store was small, but it's really huge. We started browsing through all the setups and were immediately impressed by the styling of each area and all the different items. They have all kinds of furniture, decorations, and rugs. Prices were clearly marked which I appreciated since it shows they're not trying to hide anything. I was pleasantly surprised that I found quite a few things that would fit into our budget, along with higher-end, more expensive pieces. They also have a clearance section which we looked through. The pieces I saw mostly swayed more modern and a little less traditional, which is more my style anyway. Upstairs we found a coffee table that was a major upgrade from our current table, but still in our budget and actually quite affordable. It has a metal base and a glass/ceramic top that looks and feels like marble. Super sleek and sophisticated! Christine was upstairs and asked if we needed any help. We asked her about the process for purchasing as we wouldn't be able to fit the table into our car. She told us that we could pay for it and come back with a larger vehicle, or we could pay $60 for local delivery. SOLD! I am all about that convenience and for $60 they can pack and carry the pretty heavy table. We paid for our purchase and Christine was super awesome with the whole process. I am so glad we finally stopped in to Stonesthrow and I can't wait to go back! She did say that they also do special orders if you know something you want and they are able to get it in store. Highly recommend looking here instead of Wayfair etc. for a local option. They also provide interior design services!

Couch gets delivered with the wrong color chaise. Sounds like the chair was lost somewhere and I was told that I need to call the store and have them reorder it, and it's already been 4 weeks. Another 3 weeks later, I call the store and they have the chair ready for pick up. But delivery isn't included because they only deliver one time! The day the couch was delivered it was an all day affair!! Now dealing with this!! The manager said he'd make it right and we could stop into the store. Went in and he gave us a $200 credit. Well, ok, we spent $2,200, only got $225 in discounts to begin with, plus paid for delivery. But I'm trying to be nice! Pick out an accent table for $249 and rug $239. Purchased both off the floor. Get home and look online, the rug is on sale for $180 and the table for $110 not assembled. But we bought it off the floor, so the price should be the same as online!!!! So really, no, we did not get a $200 credit. I just called to find out when our chair is getting delivered and the person tells me they are waiting for the ottoman and table and rug!! What the heck!? We have those!!! That's when she told he that delivery is only one time! Are you kidding me!! No manager is working right now because it's 6:15pm! Again, it's retail, are you kidding me!!! And now here I am, BBB reviews, Google reviews, Bing Reviews. Wish I would have read these reviews before shopping there. I will make sure others do!!! No way someone spending over $2200 should get this kind of run around for 7 weeks!!! Or spend any money!!! We didn't ask for any discounts, didn't haggle, didn't even complain much.
