The employee who answered put me on hold to speak with the pharmacy manager, Ben. I hadn't asked for the manager and had no idea why I needed to speak with him just to transfer a prescription. Ben came on the phone SHOUTING. Not speaking loudly. Not sounding rushed. Shouting. It was so unexpected that it immediately caught me off guard. He shouted asking what I wanted. I explained that I didn't know why I'd been transferred to him and that I was simply trying to transfer a prescription. He yelled, "You don't know if you need assistance?!" No, Ben. I knew exactly what I needed. What I didn't know was why I had been put on hold for you. I explained again that I was transferring a prescription. His response was an angry "FINE!" I then asked whether he knew where the prescription was being transferred from. He said the tech had the information. I told him no--the tech couldn't have it because I hadn't been asked. I finally told Ben I didn't know why I'd been transferred to him, but given his behavior, I didn't want to do business with this pharmacy. I've used the Brighton Meijer pharmacy for approximately seven years without experiencing anything remotely like this. Since moving to Okemos, however, I've had repeated problems with this pharmacy. I was willing to give Meijer Okemos another chance. No. I'll drive to Brighton. A customer shouldn't have to tolerate verbal abuse simply to transfer a prescription. This was an astonishingly unprofessional encounter. If Meijer wonders why a longtime customer would rather drive to another city than use its Okemos pharmacy, Ben provided an excellent demonstration today. One star because Google doesn't allow zero.

I loved the little statue of Bullseye, the Target dog, because he was wearing an MSU jersey! How adorable. They had a pretty decent selection of MSU apparel too. For parking I just park on the nearest side street by cold stone creamery (metered parking that I tend to not pay for as I am in & out quickly) and walk through the alley to get to the store doors. We were desperate to find…read moreantibiotic for my baby as his infection is getting worse, and we won't be able to get in for a doctor visit until next week on Thursday. The pharmacy near our house where we always get our prescription is out and not have anything until next week Monday. We were waiting all day long to hear from them about that antibiotic prescription. So we were calling around and we were talking to Ramy. (Out of luck with several pharmacies near our house) He was so kind and helpful with all the questions I asked. His system got a glitch unfortunately,he couldn't receive our request to transfer the prescription as per our conversation. He went beyond our expectation to call other store to check around and make sure they have antibiotic for us. I received a call back from him around 30 mins after that & finally we able to pick up the medication for our baby from another store. My husband after picking the meds, stopped at the store to personally thanks him once more.
