Our first purchase was a Flexsteel sofa, chair, and ottoman in 2015. It still looks nearly brand new after 5 + years of three kids climbing on it like a jungle gym. In 2019 we purchased a mission style Amish made desk and it's very well made. Still love it. Now in 2021 we purchased a Bassett sectional and a 4 piece Amish made occasional table set and are happy with all of it. It came in ahead of schedule and was delivered by their team right when they said it would be. The two gentlemen who delivered these items were professional, courteous, and took the time to show me how to disconnect the pieces of the sectional in case I need to move it in the future. We have always worked with Bernie. I highly recommend working with him. The only negative thing I can say is I once encountered a less than welcoming demeanor from someone in the store but that was a couple of years ago and I'm not sure she even works there anymore.

It came and we thought the color seemed off but we figured sometimes hard to gauge how a table will look based on a small sample. So we carried on. Didn't love the table but also didn't hate it. But we were very aware it didn't match our kitchen cabinets that we matched up the sample with. Fast forward to this summer when we decided to order a coffee table, an end table and entry table in the exact wood and finish as the dining table because with an open concept living concept the last thing we wanted was to to add another shade of wood to the layout. It was already off given the difference in the shade of the table vs our cabinets, which was supposed to match or at least be close. Everything was ordered to match. Yay! Then they deliver the coffee and end tables and they are the EXACT color of the original sample we used to decide on our dining table but definitely NOT the color of the dining table. We loved it but it confirmed-something/someone messed up our dining table finish. They sent out someone to take pics after we reached out.. It's obvious. After a few weeks we then hear there's nothing they can do. Sooo, they mess up, offer no explanation (or even an apology) and....that's it? Very disappointing. At the very least, own your mistake. You're better off at IKEA where you'll know the furniture matches.

The used book venture is another topic. Online they have a number of parameters for the used books you bring in. some being "no library marking" and "no creased spines", they do not accept textbooks, bibles or magazines. I have personally seen all of those things on their shelves from the bible and religious text, to library markings. so it does bother me when I come in with books in good condition and am turned away, BUT then i go and those same books are on their shelves to be sold. make it make sense.

At WHBM I found the absolute most perfect dress I could have thought of for the occasion. In addition, the sales associates on staff were very friendly and helpful without being pushy, pulling lots of shoe and accessory options for me. The original price of the dress was quite a bit more than my budget but given how great it looked and my lack of other choices, I took it and am so happy I did. However, the story only gets better. A week later I discovered that my dress had gone on clearance for less than half of the original price. I got a totally hassle-free price adjustment; the typical company policy is that you must bring the item into the store where you'd gotten it to have the adjustment done, but when I said that I live an hour from the store the rep did it over the phone.
