This Mall reminds me of that Angela Lansbury show. "Meridier She Wrote." Maybe Giorgio Moroder is still with Okemos. Or maybe they're not together anymore. They'll always be together in electric dreams though. Call me. This mall is pretty cool and fancy and useful for everyone in the Lansing area, and with a traditional layout, with a large food court, and the sad part is it's kind of quiet. The outdoor stores across the street are 34 times as busy. This means that usually, for people who like checking out the hotties of either gender at malls, there are not that many hot people here, and I was left wondering to some degree how the Mall stores pay their bills. read more

If nothing else I write this review as a show of support for this mall...Clearly like so many malls it is struggling. My family has shopped here since the 70's and I hurt to see how it has changed. Yet it still has good things to offer and is worthy of your visit. They have a reasonable variety of smaller shops. ..shoes, gifts, jewelry, books, clothing and some bigger anchors Macys, JC Penney, a great food court... and a detached movie theater. A farmers market on first weekend of each month in season. We shop here, go to movies. And we power walk and socialize too...I hope people will get back to utilizing the mall before they lose it....it would be a shame to not have it in the community. Not to mention lost jobs and a huge vacant property. read more

This mall is facing what many indoor malls are in the U.S.- they're slowly dying and it's hard to watch. While I've seen a couple of stores close within the last year, a bookstore recently relocated there and it's been a nice edition. There are a few big department stores like Macys, Old Navy, JCPenney (which is always very scarcely stocked and picked over), etc. and other favorites like H&M, VS's, children's stores etc. So, there are plenty of options. I enjoy their indoor children's play area and food court options. Mostly for the soft pretzels & coffee though :) This mall also includes a gym (Planet Fitness) and is located very conveniently to a Target, Marshalls, Ulta & Kroger. They're simply across the street. If you want to get some shopping done this area is definitely the place to do it. I just have expectations too high because it's obvious they're struggling. The Meridian Mall is aggressively fine. When I was a student at MSU, the Eastwood Town Centre was not yet a thing, and so the Meridian Mall was all we had. It had basically everything a broke college student needed - it had a Forever 21 (although the directory indicates that it is no more), an H&M, a Victoria's Secret that sold the MSU gear, and the movie theater with a student discount night. It's definitely nothing special, but I think these days you would truly be hard-pressed to find a traditional mall that really wowed you. I am no longer a student, so I can't imagine any reason that I would ever come back here, but it's got the basics you need! read more

Dear Meridian Mall- Hi it's me, Jackie. It's been a while but I wanted to say thanks for the memories and great shopping experience while I lived in East Lansing. Love, Jackie Meridian Mall is like most indoor malls with department stores and restaurants attached. It is located right off of Grand River and can be accessed from campus by the CATA buses for those who don't have access to a car. Otherwise it's a short drive from campus and along the way you can hit up Meijer or Best Buy. Plenty of parking all around but some areas of the lot needed to be repaved. It has a Bed, Bath, and Beyond which is awesome for college students! It also has Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Macy's, Schuler Books & Music, and Younkers as the major stores connected to it. It has over 125 other stores in the mall including Express, Old Navy, A&F, A&E, Limited and Victoria Secrets. It has plenty of food both restaurants and food court type places. It's got tons of stuff here plus its indoors. It's great for picking up that dress for a function, hanging out with friends, spending a Saturday afternoon, or stocking up your dorm room at BB&B. read more

This mall gets the job done. It's nothing special, and there aren't any real stores that stand out. It's just your local mall that has shops. If you're looking for higher end brands, you won't find it here, but if you are looking for a place to do some window shopping or get some exercise, or you're a college student looking to buy casual apparel, this place is perfect for that. :) The great thing is that since it's not huge, easy to go from store to store and all the while, plenty of walk space. The food court is basic, but it has options: Panda Express, A&W, Sbarro, etc. I don't come here often, but when there is time needed to be burned in this area, we normally come here to take a stroll. read more

my husband Milton DeVinney and I went to the men's department, which Rita is the manager, we were looking for a pair Isotoner slippers and Rita walked us over to that department and she picked out a pair of slippers and we both liked them,so we paid for them and had them shipped to out house 4710 Lowcroft Ave. Milton just loves the slippers and would buy more from Rite the Store manager, she is a good person to work with. While this is [in my opinion] the best mall in the Lansing area, it is still just average. There aren't a ton of stores and the big box stores that are left are Macy's and JC Penney's. (Younkers is going out of business.) There are also a number of stores and kiosks that are vacant. Pluses are that the mall is always clean and the food court isn't too bad. Negatives are they don't have a ton of top mall retail stores (I.e. Guess, Banana Republic, Bebe, Aldo, North Face, etc.). read more

You can eat, shop play. This place has options. There's a kids play space down in the Macy's wing by the Tuesday Morning entrance. Next to that are coin operated toys...overpriced. the roller coaster ride takes quarters and dollars. It took my dollar bill and did nothing. Don't waste your money. The train has come gone come back then left again. They do have a bungee type jumping activity for $7. The stores are okay. I'm used to bigger selections in bigger cities so I don't typically come to shop, but it has happened from time to time. It's also happened where I came several times looking for things and found the selection lacking. Glad to see an H&M here though but wish they would stock more basics. read more

Huge fail on Halloween!! Of the 100+ open stores, only 6-8 participated in the trick-or-treat activity. Shame on you Meridian Mall for inviting the community to such a failure of an event!! read more

I have been going to this mall for many years now, and have had mostly okay experiences. My most recent trip, however, was extremely disappointing. Went with a friend for the holiday market that I had seen advertised and there was very little there. Maybe twenty vendors tops, which is not necessarily the worst for a holiday market, but I wish they had not advertised it as an "extravaganza" when it clearly was not. My favorite part of going to the Meridian Mall over any other has always been their wide selection of claw machines, but on this trip many were broken (would not take money, would take money but then did not work, etc.), contributing to an almost run-down feel in the mall. Overall, this trip was a waste of time. To wrap it all up, I feel that this mall is probably the best one around, but that does not make it good. The only real benefit of shopping here now that I've aged out of needing homecoming dresses is to stop at the food court and get pretzels and smoothies. Otherwise, I could just do my shopping elsewhere. read more

The JC Penny/H&M entrance has a strong unpleasant odor as soon as you enter the mall. I can describe it as a rubber/plastic/formaldehyde odor and it's really strong and extends through that corridor. It gave me an instant headache and nausea when I smelled it. I was there last week and noticed it then, thought it was strange but maybe a one time thing. However, I was there again yesterday and notice the smell was still there. I'm concerned it's toxic and unhealthy for customers and staff of the mall. I will avoid going to this mall because of this. I hope mall management reads this and fixes this problem. read more

This mall is OK all the stores and stands are over priced a phone case that I could get somewhere else for $10 was $20 in some stores the staff were nice but other stores were OK they did have a lot of interesting things though the food court was reasonably priced and had alot to offer I had some bourbon chicken with fried rice the chicken was good but needed more sauce and was a little dry the fried rice was good though all the shops were clean and the food court was clean also read more

This has got to be my favorite mall that I have been too. It is even better than the mall that I go to back home in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. The one thing I really love about this mall is that every store is indoors even the giant Bed Bath and Beyond!!! In addition, I love that they have a bunch of the department stores like Old Navy which most of America can afford instead of a lot of the upscale stores. The only thing is that I wish the movie theater was connected to the mall. It's across the street, but that does not stop me from visiting Meridian Mall. Go visit! read more

Coming from someone from Metro Detroit, this mall is pretty average. Really spacious. I have to admit that the vendor stalls are a lot more creative and sell something other than some beautyproduct/mobile device/adverts for roofing. There's also a bungee trampoline thing there that looks pretty cool. read more

OMG!!! I can't believe that I found a See's Candies kiosk at Meridian Mall right by the food court. The best chocolates ever and the customer service is awesome. Oh and it gets better, they have a store in the Frandor Mall too! read more

Management needs to get cracking and rent every space. Quality stores, please. Love the new Dakota Watch kiosk--the girl working there was terrific! Still love Macy's--love the people and the atmosphere. Younkers is okay, but another better anchor store would help. Too many trashy little shops just brings the place down.
