I used to go to the Dundee location and learned it closed during Covid. But I have to say, Miriah and TJ, the owners of Swan Creek Candle Perry were very welcoming and friendly. Their wax stock was impressive and cheaper than when I shopped at the Dundee location. They have a points system which I signed up for and will keep connected on their Facebook page: Swan Creek Candle Perry. I will be back for more stock in a few months and happy that I still have a good source to go to where I can smell the new scents in person . I was even impressed with their free shipping for orders over a certain amount in the event I need something right away. We WERE a…read morelongstanding wholesale customer with swan creek, bought in excess, and didn't purchase for a few years while we went through our stock. Debbie Duke informed us that they run on territory and because ONE other store in town, holds their candles, we are no longer allowed to purchase wholesale? The other store in question started buying AFTER we already held an account for multiple years (or held territory, in debbies words) So we held the territory, according to Debbie and then they backdoored us with selling to a different business within said territory. After asking for clarification on said policy, she said that we had two years after our last purchase date before we are classified as a new wholesale business. After the two years the territory is no longer allocated to us. We never recieved notification that if we didn't purchase by a certain date we would loose access to buying wholesale. So not only did they blindside us by not notifying our business of the potential loss in wholesale status/territory, they did it quietly, set up another account in the same town, our territory, and then when we went to order more we were struck with "we have a better customer already in your town" WHAT!? It appears they just stick with whatever company purchases more and screws the other small busineses which to that is contradicting especially if they claim to hold territory and respect to the other businesses sales. They didn't do it for us. They didn't hold territory for us, nor were we notified of the impending loss of wholesale status PRIOR to THEM taking on another store within our territory. Extremely disappointed. I won't even get into the WHOLE attitude from the front desk receptionist and Debbie herself. While I can understand the sass and attitude from minimum effort workers, I am blessed with backgrounds in law, customer service and psychology to understand that people just have weird days. Hopefully Debbie gives me a call back, with a better attitude and her listening ears working. She "didn't have time to look into the account" nor listen when I called because she wanted to go have lunch...maybe she was hangry

    Kathy Bulter is very difficult to get a hold of. She never checks or responds to email. She is out…read moreof the office after noon and does not answer during the busy hours of the morning. She offered to do day of wedding coordination but snips at people for telling her how to do her business. She really pissed off my bridesmaids and hotel managers for being so hard to put up with and work with. She is not friendly or outgoing with strangers, which is a shame because she seemed to be popular in her own store. Price: She charged me $150 for 12 roses and plastic stephanotis you can find in hobby lobby for like $10 for a fake bouquet of 30 stephanotis. It was extremely disappointing in comparison to the large bouquet I pointed to in the picture we agreed to, and when I confronted her about it, she said "it was in the contract," a contract that was a broadly written description that was supposed to have described the picture we agreed to and include REAL or at least "silk" (as promised over the phone) stephanotis in it. It's very easy to dispute what simple descriptions actually mean, there should be pictures and examples involved, but not with Kathy. She is frugal and not customer friendly. If the customer is dissatisfied, there should be cooperation and retributions, but instead she defends herself with a very abrasive attitude. This could have been avoided if we had any contact before the day of the wedding. Contact: The 2 weeks before the wedding she was unapproachable, the hotel and church could not get a hold of her. When I called they gave me her cell phone number--2 days before the ceremony--because she decided to take off work. Over the phone she says there were no good looking stephanotis in the winter, so she would replace them with silk stephanotis instead. These were in no way silk, but the fake ones from craft stores like hobby lobby, and there were no peals in the middle, which were in fact promised but she uses the contract (broadly stated, not detailed) as her defense. Luckily flowers are a very minor part of the wedding ceremony and we didn't need much of her lackluster coordination because things were pretty smooth. If we did ask her to change things, like light the dead candles in the center pieces, she would put up a fight about how that would be disruptive. Just light the candles, they're dead! Then move on! Or just sit down for the entire reception like you had been doing. If you need such assistance you should avoid driving all the way to Lainsburg like I did (I live in East Lansing) where they're only open before noon and are only friendly to acquaintances. I tried calling her to tell her how disappointed I was but, true to form, she is not answering any calls. I hope this review will help her change her ways to keep her business successful for other customers.

    This review is specifically for the salon, but more specifically for Jennifer in the Okemos Ulta…read moresalon. I went in there the other day for the first time for the $60 deal on cut and color. Jennifer was awesome! She was very friendly and was totally interested in chatting but didn't get distracted. She was very methodical about doing my hair which I totally appreciate. But aside from the experience in the salon, I usually deal with realizing that I hate my hair a few days after leaving the salon. But not this time! It's been a few days and I still love the color, it fits my skin tone perfectly. And the style. Jennifer styled my hair in the salon the way that I could easily do at home, which made it easier to see how it all came together and why I still love it today. Most importantly Jennifer listened to me when I told her about how my hair usually behaves and what colors usually suit me. Nothing worse than when a stylist ignores you and does their own thing with YOUR hair. I'll definitely be going back in and highly recommend Jennifer!

First clerk to help me, didn't seem very comfortable in finding correct shade. She then said she was on her way to break and turned me over to Brittany. Brittany was fabulous in finding correct shade. Next time, I will go back to the store on Saginaw.
