I used to shop here 3-4 times a week, I noticed ive been getting harassed by employees and lost prevention people more and more the last few months. theres this white boy with black glasses in a neon green shirt/jacket who followed me around the store for a half hour and kept pestering me not to use the self checkout. i think he is lost prevention or something. he was very rude and a little racist. saying people like you dont belong here. The store feels very low class and unsafe for anyone who is not white. i have started ordering all my items on amazon because the idiots at this Target have added unnecessary stress to my days. The only person who was nice to me was the older woman with blonde hair who works self checkout, she was so kind while the rest were very rude and treated almost like a criminal for how i look. read more

I know people would say you seen one target you have seen them all but I have to say the service at this target was amazing. well above and beyond this cashier education my student regarding the target app and the 20% coupon and if she uses app when she shops will keep transactions for easy returns. I've made myself a Target by posting the kinds of pictures I do and writing the kinds of reviews that I do. But you know what? The people of Okemos have made themselves a Target too, and we came to visit a couple months back. The location of this one is right across the street from the massive Meridien Mall, and the parking lot is just way too crazy busy even though Barbie loves coming here and wants to come here every time we're in Lansing. Literally and figuratively. She usually finds a ton of stuff she wants. I never find any muscle shirts I want. And so it goes. I'm sure we'll be back a third time if we visit Lansing again which we inevitably will - since the best Boba shop in the entire Great Lakes is here - Momo. read more

Pretty much just like all other Targets....not a Super Store however. Pretty much always clean and well staffed Imo. Has a Starbucks. In a strip mall with other desirable stores. I come here often. One complaint is that they don't pipe in music which I find bizarre. read more

This Target could use some TLC. It's got most things you need, but still feels dated likely because of the strip mall it's in. You got your groceries and all essentials well enough. Nothing really spectacular, nothing really to write.home about. But you have here is a decent Target. read more

I have fond memories of this Target! Going to MSU in the mid-2000s, Grand River Ave was not at all what it is today, and so this Target was our only option, and it was not easy to get to! You'd have to take the #1 CATA bus to either the mall or Meijer, and then hoof it across a very busy road to get to the store. Fully worth it! My friends and I always hit up Target for our Spring Break bikinis - the only way we could afford it on college student budgets. Target back in ye olden times was certainly nothing like the Targets of today, but it met our needs and we always left smiling and satisfied! The kids today have it so much easier with that fancy Target right on the main stretch of Grand River! read more

I'm rating this Target a 5 based solely on the customer service of the Verizon wireless guy that helped me take my mom from her 2003 dinosaur of a cell phone into a pretty new white iPhone. After some crappy service at the Verizon wireless store I did a quick search of places in the area where I could buy my mama her Xmas gift. We decided to try Target before Best Buy and I'm so glad we did. The process took some time and all the while the sales guy was friendly, helpful and laughed right along with me at my Mama's old ass phone. He was not only great, but they had the phone in stock and also found a way to keep her ancient cell plan that all other stores had said she'd have to give up if she upgraded. We liked him so much that we ended up upgrading my dad's phone from the 2004 version of crap to a sparkly new Samsung Stratosphere. Can you say Best Daughter Ever!? read more

OMG Target. I mean, it's "Tar-zhay" and well, I'm in love with it. I am sure there is some kind of evil Communist plot behind target (all that red, mmhmm....those bullseyes are just a secret symbol representing the hammer, sickle, and star...they think they've got me fooled...) Digressing from my conspiracy theories, Target is pretty awesome and I am certain that superTarget is phenomenal. The method cleaning supplies, Xhiliration, Michael Graves, TODD OLDHAM!!!, and the funky cool housewears had me sold. Then.... ISAAC MIZRAHI!!!!!! When Target announced that they were adding an Isaac line to their collection, I about flipped my lid. Don't get it twisted, Isaac can make some ugly ass clothes, but by and large, Target's Mizrahi line can take you from day to night to weekend, all on reasonable prices. Plus the biggest benefit is that Target has the bomb clearance racks. I'm talking about hip Mossimo jeans for $6.98 a pop, brand spankin' new. Just when I thought the big T couldn't get any better, they've just added the Go! International line by Luella Bartley, bringing in beautiful funky London fashion to us t-shirt clad Yanks.... I am giving this Okemos Target a 5-star rating due to the customer service Cameron gave me in Electronics today. This guy was so patient with me when purchasing a rather large TV. He made suggestions on how to get it in my car and really worked hard to make it happen! He was also very knowledgeable on helping me select just the right TV and accessories and was super patient when other customers in line got super annoying and when my debit was having issues at point of sale! He's a gem! Thanks Cameron for fitting a 65 inch TV into my Toyota Corolla and for being a master multi-tasker. read more

I like this Target. I think it's well-organized, and I really enjoy their seasonal displays. They have lots of fun housewares, plenty of checkout lanes and parking spots, and employees are friendly and helpful. I've bought everything here, from DVDs to bathing suits to countertop appliances to Christmas ornaments. read more

This Target is on a street that surrounds the Meridian Mall so it's off the busy Grand River and easier to access. The parking lot needs an overhaul in terms of it being repaved but there are lots of spots available. The store's layout was good and the staff was friendly. I always enjoyed coming here and would shop here if I still lived in the area. read more

The Target corporation really needs to teach their staff their coupon policy. The staff is either blatantly making up what they don't know or being taught false information. I strolled through the store and picked through the clearance section, today at the Okemos, MI location. I've never had a problem coupon shopping here because I follow the rules and try to be polite. I ran into a rude, uninformed cashier who insisted that I couldn't use coupons at the self-checkout. I've never heard of this. I've check out with coupons using self checkout many times. After insisting that I checkout in a lane, she said that I couldn't use coupons on clearance items. I pulled out my phone and showed her the Target coupon policy. There is no mention of this supposed policy. She continued to loudly argue and I simply left when informed that there was no manager on site. I really wish that Target would develop a better training policy for there employees. Unfortunately, when I went back later, all of the clearance items that I found were gone which makes me wonder if the cashier bought them. read more

I generally like this target but the employee smoking area seems to be a bench to the left of the entrance. So if someone is out smoking the whole front of the store stinks. I wish they would either not let people smoke or have them go in the back of the building. I don't want to be exposed to second hand smoke in order to shop there. read more

I love Target and their products but this particular Target needs to go over the basics of customer service with their employees. I used to shop there a lot but the fact that the employees seem to be rude everytime I go there is turning me away. One time I had an issue with my debit card reading error and the female cashier sighed loudly the whole time. Nobody was behind me and she acted like I was wasting her precious time. I mean she is there to work right? Another occasion, I had a return. The young lady that did the return was very cold and huffy puffy about it. I am just in disbelief that these people who work in customer service don't have any manners whatsoever. That should be top priority. Last but not least, I brought a cart in from the parking lot before my shopping trip and it had some trash in it. A price tag or something like that. Anyways I did my shopping and as I was leaving towards the door after checking out, a female security guard comes up and looks into my cart all obviously. I didn't know what she was doing until I put two and two together as I was putting my bags in the car. I mean, seriously?? How insulting! I'd rather avoid the rudeness and go some place where I feel welcome. read more
