I have clutches by her. I do like her bags are named after cities in Michigan too. Deb confirmed they are open until 6pm tonight. Decided to give it a look see. Must knock or call for them to open the door for you. I bought 3 hair pins and a crystal chain necklace for casual dress up and around town wear. It's a fun store to browse for a good while. There was a little something for everyone here and the prices were just right! Thank you for brightening my day!

The service was great, the employee stopped me from getting a size too small for my sister (thank you again) and SHE LOVED IT. Great business, cool, handmade gifts. Great for a unique gift idea and even better for locals who want to help support small businesses! The owner is very involved in positive outcomes for her community and this was just overall a great experience, great business, that sell quality handmade products. Prices are very fair as well!

The owner of this mall contacted me to let me know she believes I mistook her mall or shop for…read moreanother with the previous review I left, and noted that she has a great deal of antiques in her business and does not carry the type of low grade junk and garage sale tsatskes that pretty much every other shop/all in this area sells. I respect her professionalism and the eloquence of her note, and therefore am submitting an edit to Yelp. My purpose in leaving the review(s) I wrote about the antiques shops/"malls" in this area was to save others the drive, the gas, the time, and the disappointment of this misrepresented area. My husband and I go antique-ing every weekend as we are avid collectors. I was an antiques dealer for many years in Grand Rapids, and find it misleading and disheartening when an area advertises itself as an antiques destination only to make a trip to the area and find mostly garage sale junk and one owner who told me the malls have to carry that because they can't survive selling true antiques (I would assert this isn't the case, and can provide a litany of true antiques malls in West Michigan). That being said, I have to applaud any antiques business owner in this area who strives to be a purist and supply true antiques to the area.

Given that we're only having a 7-month long engagement, going to bridal salons and ordering gowns was out of the question. In comes the Dowry to save the day! Staff: The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place is owned by Emily, a really sweet girl who really tries to accommodate you, even if it means she has to go out of her way. I made an appointment and worked with Anita, one of the store employees who is incredibly supportive and attentive. She greeted me warmly when I arrived and asked me what I was looking for in a wedding dress. True to what I described, she picked gowns that fit the description and stayed under the budget I gave her. Selection: The store is full of dresses that have never been worn at a steal of a price but there are also consigned gowns, too. I've seen labels like Pronovias and Allure on their racks. They have everything from sheaths to full-blown princess dresses. The dress I fell in love with is a Dere Kiang gown that seemed to be consigned to the store; it even had the original veil with it! There are even some evening formal dresses and special occasion dresses in their store, so if you have a formal event coming up, stop by to take a look! Overall experience: I was able to put my dress on hold for a week but ended up going back a few days later with a friend to get a second opinion and try it on a second time. I couldn't walk away the second time but was able to get the dress and the veil for under $300! Each time I talked to Emily or Anita, I was met and received with friendliness and genuine concern for what I wanted. I would DEFINITELY recommend the Dowry to anyone who is looking to do a wedding on a low budget or if you're like me and just think it's ridiculous to pay an arm and a leg for a dress ;)
