Pettit Hardware is a great place to do business…read more They don't try very hard to sell merchandise. Rather, they ask about my project and help me solve my problems. Sometimes they suggest that I hire a professional. Sometimes they point to a tool or part that will make my job much easier. I never get the impression that they are swaggering around and trying to impress me with how much they know. That compares to some other hardware stores where the clerks are either never there, or too busy stocking shelves to help me, or on a huge ego trip or dumber than a box of rocks. Nope. The folks at Pettit Hardware don't push. They just try to help.

I tried 3 days in a row and triple checked the number. I did not want to drive for half an hour if they had a fix over the phone or if they were closed. Today I took my lunch hour to go there and in the window there is a big sign that says "CLOSED 12/24 - 1/1 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" WHAT? No Message on their phone at all let alone saying they are closed for a WEEK! Get a voicemail service PLEASE. So I call Hoover to get an alternate repair shop, they do have a VM and it says they are closed for the holidays. I can not win.

We…read moreshopped high and low and they blow all the competition out of the water with customer service, quality and price. The process was seamless. Jason met us on site and we decided on a shed and wanted the drive to talk about it. That shed sold while we were driving. Jason said he would get us what we wanted for the same price. We didn't have to compromise on color and roof style (metal) as we did with the other shed. Delivery happened exactly as promised. Darcy & Heather were delivery communication and super knowledgable. Kaleb managed to get into our difficult driveway. We have a flag lot. I was pretty impressed. He knew the problem areas and my husband followed him with a chainsaw to get down some limbs. Even though we spent the last three days prepping for this, there were some we missed! We look forward to our new building to use as a roadside stand for our farm - Twin Flame Lavender Farm. We still have a way to go with finishing and getting permits but this is so exciting. Please extend our thank you to your entire team! Cheers, Paul and Renee Donohue

I had no mechanical parts problems before he arrived but just needed coolant. After he finished putting in coolant he suddenly told me my Furnace drip pan was cracked and needed a new part but had to order it. Before he arrived I never heard water dripping and then suddenly when he was finished with the maintenance I had this dripping noise from my furnace and he left with the air conditioning running and when I came home from work I had water all over my floor where the furnace was and turned off the air conditioning. He sent me a invoice for a $700 repair but never told me what was actually needed and he didn't turn off the air conditioning when he left knowing the dripping water would cause damage to my furnace.

I will now file a Small Claims case against them in court and see what happens. At least the BBB now has dinged their record and I hope this will warn future customers to stay away and find someone else.

From the scheduler, to the install technicians and maintenance teams to their manager, even the owner! I've had the opportunity to work with them all and it has always been a great experience! A couple of years ago I fell on hard times and it was COLD... My furnace was getting old and the fix wasn't cheap, I couldn't afford it. They stayed and refused to leave me and the boys in the cold even if it took me time to pay for it. I was VERY stubborn and they told me it was ok to let someone help me... that's something that I have never forgotten. That's genuine. Last week Don and Chase came out and installed a new furnace. Great guys! Called at 8:30 on the dot and we're here less than 30 minutes later. Cleaned up afterwards and even fixed some of the duct work that needed some attention. I will forever 10/10 recommend! So grateful!
