Sent my tractor to Clark's to repair hydraulic problem and hydraulic pump leaking. Received a call estimating thirty five hundred dollars which I agreed to. Two weeks later they called and said they repaired the pump and some other issues and the price was now six thousand dollars which I negotiated back to a lower amount. Then later they called and said the pump was leaking again and I agreed to a new pump and sent payment per credit card. Then they sent to another repair shop and the hydraulic system seems to work now but the cost is now over seven thousand which I have paid part of it. The pump is not new even though I paid for a new one. Needless to say we don't agree on the final cost. I used the tractor about twelve hours and the steal high pressure line came loose from the pump spraying hydraulic fluid on the exhaust pipe causing a fire. read more

I would not step foot in this place again! I took my John Deere in for repairs- was told over the phone one price but on pickup of the tractor it was $500 over the quote over the phone. Matt (I guess the owner) told me that well he's just human and he made a mistake- like most individuals who say that will then eat part of the excessive cost- but no way- he said he couldn't do anything about it. Unfortunately I didn't read all the other reviews with similar complaints. Im not sure any of the employees they call "technicians" are certified mechanics- they are apparently learning on the job and on your equipment. I think if you don't have a lot of money to throw around- you should seek out more competent individuals to get the job done at the cost they quote you.... read more

Skidsteer was leaking oil and electric problems. Owner isn't around and Joel at front desk knows nothing. Charged 1900$ said they fixed all the problems. Got it home has the same problems and still doesn't start. Thieves and will keep charging you for crap you don't need. Don't waste your time or money with this place read more

I was given an estimate of $900 to fix my backhoe - actual bill was over double that. Part of this was transport cost (contractor) but I was advised that transporter was delivering in my neighborhood and I believed this should have resulted in a lower cost when unit was picked up. I should have been given expected total cost at start. The repairs were done quickly and apparently well. read more

Matt got my GT262 garden tractor in right away after I called to schedule the spring service. While it did take 2 trips to get it done, part of the reason was my communication of what needed to be done. Matt was very understanding when I called after the first time, picked up the machine quickly again and took care of everything. In fact, he went above and beyond what I asked. It was obvious that the other work he covered cost him both parts and labor. I was so impressed, I called him to thank him for his effort. If you knew me, you would know I don't do that very often. It is certain that I will call Matt the next time something happens and we all know someday, something will. read more

I would never ever use this company again. My tractor was not running and they took it in to work on it. I told them when it had been running it was overheating and the power steering didn't work. It took a very long time for them to even look at it and then I got a phone call telling me that it was repaired and I owed them over $2000. I had NEVER received a quote or estimate. They just did the work without letting me know how much it was going to cost. I got it home and it started long enough to move it to the backyard. A week later I tried to start it again and it wouldn't run. I called them to have it taken back in again and told them that I wanted a quote before any work was done. Again I got a call saying that they had fixed it and it would be $350. I needed the tractor back so I agreed. I got a phone call shortly after that stating that it wouldn't start again. I told them just to bring it home because I couldn't afford any more repairs on it at this point. They "found" an old starter and put it on. It came home and I mowed for about 30 minutes and it was overheating again. I left a voicemail stating that I was extremely upset that I had spent all this money, evidently on unneeded repairs, only to have the same problem again. They offered to bring it back in and fix it at their cost. I agreed as I figured it wasn't going to cost me anything so why not give them one more try. I received a phone call again and was told that it would be $700 to get the tractor back as they had to replace the radiator and some hoses. I asked why I was being charged and Matt said that the towing was free but Morgan had been mistaken about it being at their cost. I told him I'd have to get back to him. I talked to a neighbor who had dealt with this place before (wish I had talked to him BEFORE i started into this). He said that he had experienced the same type of thing with them. I told my neighbor that I was probably going to call a lawyer since all of the work had been done without my approval or being given any kind of quote. My neighbor let Matt know what I was planning and I miraculously got a phone call stating that the work was going to be free and the tractor would be delivered back to me at no charge. That Morgan had been mistaken in thinking it was warranty work. So the story changed as they understood I was done playing the game. I won't go back there. I won't recommend them and I will let others know that they are shysters who will take you for your money as long as you keep working with them. read more

You'd think a local, family-owned company would be honest and accommodating to its customers. Clark's was working on my husband's pick up truck, and while the truck was parked on their property for service, another vehicle hit his parked truck, bending and smashing brush guard and cracking the grill. They knew about this accident yet did not disclose it when my husband picked up his truck. He noticed it when he got home, confronted them about it...they admitted what had happened but wanted to work out a backdoor deal to have it fixed and only they wanted to fix it so they would get the money for the repair work. As if we would have given them another penny or allowed them to perform another service on one of our vehicles after this. It's really a shame that they couldn't have been honest right off the bat. That's what insurance is for! Accidents happen but lie to a customer and you'll lose them forever...and they did. read more
