I would give zero stars if possible! By far the worst repair experience I have ever had. This location struggles to keep employees and is not afraid to share it, this seems to be their go-to for the reason things are so terrible. It started when I took me vehicle in for the insurance estimate (trip #1 to the shop), the adjuster was adamant that I scheduled when to bring it back as they were already scheduling out so far. I was hesitant due to our extra vehicle having an issue but I scheduled anyway, he said if anything changes to let them know. I took my vehicle on the scheduled day March 25, 2026,(trip #2) go in to drop it off and they do not have me on the books and never ordered the parts. Schedule again to drop it off for April 3, 2026,(trip #3) this time I was able to successfully drop off my vehicle. They call me April 22, 2026(trip #4) and tell me my vehicle is ready for pick-up, I work in Battle Creek, so I hurried home at the end of the day grab my husband and head over to get it. It was about 15 minutes before they closed, I had not really been home and just wanted to get there so I didnt look it over (I have also NEVER had an issue with any of the other repairs I have had done elsewhere). When I got home I actually looked at it, it was terrible work. There were parts ripped and just sat back in, things that should have been repaired weren't, gaps with over a 1/4" difference from side to side (I measured them) and gaps that were just entirely too large. I called the next day and took it back (trip #5). I was told there is no longer a manager at that location and dealt with the "acting manager". He looked it all over, took into the back to make some of the gaps better and tried to get us to "meet him in the middle" on some of the issue. He then said he would get everything ordered and call us the following day. After a month of not hearing anything I called then again, was informed I would have to bring my vehicle in AGAIN for the issues to be looked at as that person was also no longer employed and there was a new manager. Finally, I was able to take me vehicle in again on June 19,2026 (trip#6) yet the manager was not there. I informed the employee that I would not be leaving without a list of the repairs as I would not be doing this step a 3rd time. He was utterly dumbfounded as to what I was asking for! The manager called me the following Monday June 22, 2026 to discuss the issues with me and told me he would be ordering the parts and would call me "tomorrow". I called again July 16, 2026 as I still had not heard anything. As I sit here almost 3 months now from when I initially picked up my vehicle (just short of 5 months from my accident) my vehicle is still not repaired correctly and I do not have a timeline as to when that will occur, I do know I will still have a minimum of 2 more trips to this shop for this one repair! read more

I was in a hit and run on the interstate and my insurance referred me here. When I picked my car up, I noticed the plastic mirror cap was missing. I was told the part was on back order and they would call me back in when the part came in - I was fine with that. But if you zoom in, you will see a little chip of plastic missing. This was not noticeable until the cap was placed on (see other img). When they put the cap on, I asked if they could get me a new non-chipped plastic piece. The reply I got was "It was probably a rock that hit your car while you were driving, which is common. We cannot replace that for you." I definitely would have remembered a rock hitting my newly repaired vehicle. This chip definitely happened in their care. I also noticed my gas cap felt very abrasive. It looks like the gas cap had been dragged across concrete on the inside during disassembly (see img). I also noticed my window tint was damaged. I figured it got damaged during disassembly as well. When I called about it, they tried to deny responsibility, but eventually agreed to fix it. The first date was my fault - I wrote it down in my calendar wrong. I called them and rearranged to bring it another day. I dropped my car off and it sat for a few hours before the tint shop was closed. So we rescheduled. That next Friday, I took my car back at 8 AM, and while I waited for my friend to pick me up, I decided to do a walk around of my car. I didn't see any new damage. My friend arrived and I left. A few hours later, they called back and said that my car couldn't be taken care of that day and that I had to reschedule again. At this point, I asked for the contact information of the window tinting shop and arranged it myself. When I walked back out to my car, I noticed a little tiny dent on the driver side rear door. I should have walked back into the building immediately to point it out, but I was just tired and frustrated and wanted to go home, so I drove home to take a closer look. When I did, it was definitely a new dent and not a trick of the light. I called them immediately and told them about it. I asked if they could use their camera system to see who hit my car, and they said they didn't have access and needed to wait for the manager to arrive on Monday to review the footage. On Monday I take my car to the window tinting shop directly. Afterwards, I call Gerber back and ask about the results of the footage. I was told that the cameras don't record that long and that the footage has been deleted. WHY wasn't that ANTICIPATED and the footage SAVED THE DAY I REPORTED THE DAMAGE? I told them I don't blame them for the damage in that I don't believe they crashed my car, but since the damage occurred in their care, I would appreciate it if they could use their tools to pop it out. They told me to come in and they will see what they can do. I drive there as soon as my car is done at the window tinting shop. The manager comes out and I point out the damage. She said that the damage could have been anything from a rock to a shopping cart, and they have no idea I didn't drive the car away and damage it myself, then come back asking them to fix it. How dare she? I called the DAY it happened! I asked why they didn't save the footage the day I reported it if they knew it would be deleted. She said "We just can't do that. And honestly, this car should have been totaled. I have no idea why it got repaired. I'm not putting any more money into this car. And again, we don't know if this damage happened here." Looking past her disrespectful tone and dismissive comments, I again said "I'm not blaming you for damaging my car, but I know for a fact the damage happened in your care. Can you guys get the dent out just as a courtesy?" And she said that "we don't do that. That would be another 3rd party scheduled 4 months out and it would be $150 and I'm not going to do that, this car should have been totaled and I'm not putting anymore money into it." This is what pissed me off the most. No accountability. No respect. No empathy. I am done with Gerber Collision and I could tell from her tone, they are done with me. July 20 Update: The manager did reach out offering to fix my dent in an email, without an apology for her disrespectful tone. But now I have a new issue. I told Gerber that I heard a loose plastic noise beneath my car the first time I went back in June. They told me "we didn't go under your car, it wasn't us." This past weekend, I was driving on the interstate when my driver side (repaired side) inner fender fell onto my wheel. I thought my wheel popped at first because of the loud popping noise and black pieces flying out. Turns out I was right. Gerber forgot to secure the inner fender. I am now paying $40 out of pocket for the replacement part and I will do it myself so I know it is done right. I am sure they will deny responsibility again and try to gaslight me. Pictures added. I'm glad I was able to find such an amazing shop. The whole process was painless and easy. Ernie Bowen was very helpful and was able to walk us through the whole process. Everyone was friendly and always so helpful when it came to asking questions. The turn around time was very quick! Best part was they always updated you via text what they were doing with your car. The receptionist was doing nothing, there were two men behind the counter playing on their phones and I couldn't see anyone doing anything back in the repair area. What were they busy doing? I took my car here after someone shot out my car, I then took it to them they said they didn't notice a bullet hole in my seat and had me bring it back and then put a TAN SEAT IN MY CAR WHEN I HAVE GREY SEATS I'm contacting my insurance company tomorrow. I would recommend if taking it there for a hood or window repair it's a good shop but if you go in there to replace a seat DON"T!!!!! Absolutely fantastic experience. I don't know any other body shops honestly, but this guy had the lowest estimate by a grand, and did a fantastic job. The car looks and drives like new. Jeff and Mike work hard to make sure they get all parts at a discounted rate so that it doesn't cost a fortune, but are just as effective, and look just as good. They went over the estimate (4500 rather than 3700), but still turned out lower than the next closest estimate (4700). I hit a deer driving down 96W, an hour from home, and car sat at a tow shop. Vision Collision has a mobile estimating service, whereas most places require you to be towed to their shop. They had a detailed estimate within a few hours, and were super friendly and helpful. BUYER BEWARE: They do good work, but don't take small jobs, and despite what they say, don't stand behind their work AT ALL. I've taken two cars there and had work done- a couple of times it was substantial. They did a GREAT job. They turned their nose up at smaller jobs but ok. But the very nice young clerk went out of his way to talk about how they really stand by their work- bring it in even if it's a few months or a year down the road and something is wrong. Sounds great, huh? Well, after they replaced a door some trim flew off and the door got loose and started getting stuck on the front quarter panel. So we took it back, just to have the door adjusted or a new trim reattached. Anyway, they denied that they guaranteed their previous work and made excuses about how they couldn't know it was their repair that failed (we hadn't had any other work done to the car). I guess it was too small a job, not profitable enough? Or just BS. Anyway, they seem to do good work, but hope they get it right the first time (the first repair they did for us was fine) or you're on you're own. As for me, I don't like how they do business so I'm looking elsewhere. read more

Excellent service. The bumper of my car was loose on Friday night. I called up on Saturday and they said they could look at it right away. This shop is open on Saturday from 9-12pm. They took me right away, fixed the bumper, and did not charge me one cent. Excellent auto body shop. If I have any more car issues I will definitely come back. read more

Was told I would get a rental when my truck was getting fixed. After setting up with my insurance and receiving a check to have $2600 of work completed, they told me that they would only cover 3 of the 5 days of rental. I would have to pay $50 for the two extra days. I told them that 3 other repair shops within 3 miles would cover a rental or loaner for the entire time. I ask the manager if he was willing to lose my business and $2600 over $50. Marcus said yes. Apparently business is booming, called my insurance and told them I was taking it down the street. Guess that's the last time I go to Vision. Sounds like other have had the same problem with a rental. read more

I will never go back here. After being told a rental car would be covered, I was then told it would not be covered right before bringing my in to be fixed. After I told them I would go somewhere else to get the work done, the rental was suddenly not an issue. Part of what needed to be fixed from the accident was my exhaust which had been snapped in half. They did not fix that. And the parts of my car they did fix would have fallen off. If I could give 0 stars, I would. State Farm referred me here as a direct repair facility. What a mistake! They clearly never wanted to fix my car as they originally stopped writing an estimate at less than 30%!of my car's value thinking it would be a total loss. Not even close and State Farm authorized full repair. After more than 1 full month without providing a single update, I called them and was told it would be "at least another week" because they were "really backed up". I called State Farm immediately for help and was told that the shop found additional damage during tear down (MORE THAN 1 FULL MONTH LATER!!!!!!) and now the car would likely be a total loss! THE SHOP STILL HAS NOT CALLED ME TO INFORM ME OF THIS!!! Horrible service - and State Farm agrees and will be reviewing their direct repair status as they are a TERRIBLE shop and poor representative of State Farm. Strongly recommend using one of the many other repair facilities in the area. This place is completely incompetent. read more

They aren't as expected. I was referred to them by my insurance adjuster.. My car was damaged when I hit a deer.. 2010 Equinox.. After ordering all the parts it was known that a part was on back order for two weeks.. After a week they called me to have me do all the complaining to GM. in hopes to expedite the part.. didn't happen took longer to get part then I would be told one thing and my husband another.. it took my car longer to get back.. and in dealing with Chris at Vision.. he was unprofessional, and say whatever to get us off phone. We had been lied to.. and not to mention they do not offer loaner cars.. the entire experience with them was the worst I had ever had to deal with.. I suggest to anyone.. it would be at your benefit to find another collision place to take your car to.. you don't want to have to deal with what we did... my car had been with them for over a month when it should have only taken (in their own words) one week...
