Love shopping at this location! Marshall's always has a great selection of designer brands, clothing, and home goods at significantly discounted prices! I've been to other locations, and frankly have been disappointed plenty of times- cluttered aisles, messy store conditions, and long checkout lines. Not at this location! This spot is organized, clean, and despite long lines, cashiers are expedient! Service is great! Staff are friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of men's clothing and shoes for 1/2 the price! And they consistently have new inventory which keeps the shopping experience exciting! read more

I've been to other store similar to Marshall's and I must say this is by far my best experience. The customer service was excellent shopping was very organized. I didn't feel overcrowded. The line was long, but it went very quickly which means they were staffed. Well, I didn't get any sense of attitude. The selection was very nice and I got a few pairs of shoes, a purse and some clearance items. I spent a little over $100 and I think that was a good value. read more

This place has a shady manager. She tried making me pay double for a bracelet that was clearly part of a set? Literally tried to tell me oh they don't go together, as they both have the same name, same design, same exact price and came in the same box. read more

My SO loves this store and I came a few times during the holiday season insearch of those random gifts. The random finds are incredible. Unfortunately one day I came and there was literally a full shelf (3 shelves) of spray and cologne for men but I forgot the name.... unfortunately wasn't able to come back until a few days later and it was empty... the shelf had maybe a handful of the same cologne and sprays available. Staff mentioned they get shipments daily... but during the holiday season it appears these are hot commodities. Luckily the lines maybe long but go quickly, even during the holidays. read more

I've been coming to this Marshall's for at least 12+ years. The staff are friendly, although there's not enough staff to help assist customers! There are enough cashiers for the store front. Their shoe racks used to be untidy. Now, the shoes are more organized. If you can't afford to pay for your purchase at Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra & Homesense stores; you can also use their credit card. Make sure to bring your credit card. , they WON'T be able to look you up with social security number. Plus, you'll EARN 5 points for each dollar you spend!! read more

My sister and I went in looking for a gift for our mom and as we found a blanket priced at 12.99, as we were being helped at the checkout the lady saw how cheap it was and got her manager involved saying that this isn't the price. They went to the back to find there were 4 others priced at 12.99 we waited 25 minutes for them to tell us we would have to be paying the price of 39.99 We were very upset because not only did it take time out of our day but the prices that were marked out there and displayed were misleading and they did not bother to even go down on the price for our time or for the misleading price. read more

I am an avid Matshalls shopper, however, I try to avoid this location at all costs. Three days ago, I purchased a bunch of Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. One of them was a Timberland jacket for $34.99. After consulting with my daughter in law, she suggested I get a side up as my grandson seems to be growing faster lately. I come back to marshals this morning to try to exchange the jacket. However, they didn't have it in the size I needed so I decided to do a return. They wouldn't take the return door to some type of dust on the jacket, which was in the same condition as I bought it, since I have never taken it out of the bag. Unfortunately I had to deal with the most rude supervisor I have ever encountered in any department store named Anna Y. Now I remember why I avoid this location at all costs and will take the drive all the way up to Mira Mesa instead. Horrible customer service from Anna Y. It was sooo packed in the early afternoon on a weekday. The aisles are so small and it's almost impossible to get through the people. It's not the business' fault that the customers are rude and all over the place but they lost business with me that day. I had a cart filled with cute clothes and affordable shampoos which were good brands but I left it and walked out with out anything. The line to pay was soooo long. Maybe in that sense they should have a quicker way to pay and check out. I will come back maybe when they open and it's not crowded. read more

I came here to see what they had. Not much. I went to the beauty section and found only a small Marc Jacobs mascara for $4.99. My daughter found another bath bomb for $2.00. That's all I ended up buying. I hardly find anything at this location. I prefer to shop other locations. When I got to the register, the lady was really nice. She rang me up quickly as the lines can get long here. They had a lot of stuff on clearance but stuff sells out fast as the cashier was telling me. Aisles were clean and organized. Not too messy at this store. I definitely saw a lot of people shopping here. Plenty of parking in front but traffic coming in and out can get crazy so be careful. Cars fly by this location. Maybe I will come here early to see what they have to offer in the beauty section. I definitely love looking for affordable high end makeup. Maybe I will have better luck next time. read more

I saw the reviews before coming here and I should had listen to them. I had no idea that I would be treated poorly like I was not even welcomed and as if my reason to be there was to steal. My experience was with the woman at the dressing room. She is Hispanic with died blonde hair and since I am also Hispanic I thought she would be friendly to a fellow Hispanic woman since she is directly dealing with customers. She was so unfriendly and I said hello and all she did was count how many items I had in such a rude tone. She kept most of my stuff on the front by her even after I saw she didn't count the stuff from the girl before me. Then since I was going to buy plenty of stuff she made sure to count each item I took inside new clothes to try on every time since. When I brought outside the clothes that I didn't like and the ones I wanted I asked them to save them on the side for me and she didn't say anything as if she was deaf of something. When I was done trying clothes and handing out the ones that I didn't like, she asked me to show her the number tag to count if I returned enough clothes back. I didn't have any backpack, big purse but my fat wallet! I was going to spend about $300 in yoga and Pilates clothing for myself. But then as much as I did like some clothes I just had a sour taste of my experience there so I decided to NOT GIVE MY HARD EARNED MONEY to a store that hires poorly train with lack of people skills attendant at the dressing room. I don't know if her job sucks and she hates customers then get another job or don't hire people like that but I am sure I will NEVER stop by this store. read more

I came in on a Saturday so of course it was BUSY, which makes me walk around more to wait for the line to die down. My cart was full and I had a pretty heavy item (dog stairs) that couldn't fit. Every time I stop to look at something I have to set it down, move my cart and try to make room for people walking through the aisles. Suddenly a saint appears and offers to take my big items to the front so I can continue shopping! A big shout out to Luz, for helping me out and making my experience so wonderful! read more

So far this is the best Marshall's I put my feet in, the quality and quantity of nice brand clothes is awesome. The store is clean and organized, okay you still need to go through the racks with patience, but it is worth it. I walked out of this store with various items, that cost me under $40, else where I would pay at least $100.00 Last thing I bought here was an Ed Hardy Denim shirt and this weekend I'll go back to get a case for my MacBook. My friend and I bought a pair of shoes from here and it had a display sticker on it and had discoloration after we inspected it so we decided to take it back. That is where we ran into trouble. The cashiers refused to let us return the shoe because it had a display sticker that was ALREADY in the shoe when we bought it. The display sticker inside of it was from footlocker or some other shoe store so they assumed with switched it out... uh no. We told the lady, what makes the difference if we peeled the sticker off, which we did not but she still refused to return it. Horrible customer service. read more

Great amount of name brand stuff not much of a difference in original price but it is cheaper than the normal. Came here looking for bedding, not many bed sets to choose from, it's like all other Marshalls that I have been to, same inventory but kind of messy. Nothing special or different about this store. You will find clothing, cosmetics, electronics, shoes, housewares, toiletries, toys and seasonal items in the store. I typically have an uneventful shopping experience at Marshall's on H street. Today's visit was frustrating because of the dressing room attendant. She seemed determined to provide a bad experience. When I first approached, she was unresponsive- then demanded I hang each item on hanger- another lady tried to hand her the room number paper- she was unresponsive and rude to her also so I directed her attention to the customer- but she refused to take her eyes off me and said don't worry about it- when I finished hanging the clothes- she took customer's number- ignored me and started helping others. I came out, when she said to hang up items again, because I was fumbling, I asked for help, she wouldn't. Okay, I understand procedures need following but she really needs customer service training. read more

I am impressed with what I found today when I was shopping. I came in for one thing and ended up with about 12 things. Most of the time, shopping at these sorts of stores, it can be a hit or miss but today I hit the jackpot. Also, I must add that customer service has improved here. Every employee that saw me greeted me and most of them also asked how I was doing. The lines are always long here but today the line ran smoothly. read more

I've been shopping at this Marshall's for about 5 years and it has been worthwhile overall, however lately the store is experimenting with playing cheesy country-pop music apparently to "enhance" the shopping experience. STOP IT! I walked in today with no music, started browsing and they started in with Luke/Kenny/Brad/Sam, they all sound the same, up loud. I walked out. If you think you have to play music, how about classic country (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Dolly), instrumental jazz, ambient sounds, or chill, and lower the volume, please. read more

Only giving one star because a no star is not an option. I have previously bought from this Marshalls location several times. It never occurred to me to ask before so this time I decided to ask. At the checkout I asked if they offered a Military discount and was looked up and down by the cashier then she proceeded with a snobby "No." "Your total is $24.67" I will try to find my receipt so I can include the cashiers name. I will not be purchasing from this location anymore and plan to tell my military associated friends about this experience. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but this is a military town and you should not be so rude those associated with. I would just like to add that I went to Old Navy afterward, where the cashier pleasantly asked if I happened to be military affiliated because they offer a military discount. THAT is customer service. It's not like I go everywhere flashing it around asking for discounts all the time, and I don't mind paying full price, but when you look down on me like you're better in someway I will not stand for that. read more

I prefer the Marshalls in Mission Valley because the selection seems better...probably because that one is a bigger store. It always feels cluttered here but there are still tons of people shopping here. It seems nicer than Ross but not quite as nice as TJ Maxx. The clerks do seem to be pretty friendly and even when there is a line it goes pretty fast. read more

I am so used to shopping here when I used to live in Georgia for over a year. It was a very nice and clean place. The designers were easy to find and I could find anything in excellent condition. Different scenario here in SD. When I visited this branch for the first time, it was like walking into Ross. It was so dirty, messy and just not a place I wanted to be at. My mother in law was looking for a business attire so I looked around for some shoes for my daughter. I was able to find nice shoes for her, but did not bother to look for anything myself. I hate shopping in a crowded, messy and dirty place. It looked like black friday in there. I will never go to this location again!!!. read more

I didn't like a fragrance when I got home (they have NO testers) so I comeback to return it. The EXACT amount for this item is on the receipt, mind you, then they tell me. "You got this for free" the clueless rep gets a manager.. This manager was SO rude, (NAMED LUZ L.) no smile, not a let me take care of this attitude a complete disregard for me as a customer. She claims to have had another manager "look at the tapes for that day and the customer service rep didn't charge me". Really? I thought, so apparently I bought something that costs the EXACT same PLUS when I was leaving, the rep had to deactivate the alarm for the perfume. This place sucks, the customer service sucks. I will never go again to this location! Don't waste your time here, go somewhere you as a customer is treated right and fairly. First time to this particular location. I was on a hunt for some runners just to wear for casual purposes. Stumbled upon some awesome Asics. They were in the clearance section, marked down at $32.99. I was very excited about my purchase. I get to the cashier and she says let me check the price on these. So she comes back and tells me, oh these aren't really on clearance. They are actually $39.99 - now I realize $7 isn't a lot but it's the principle. NO Apology and no service recovery attempt. Basically I got a big fat sucks for you and that was that. No let me check with my manager and see if there is anything we can do. No I'm really sorry for the mistake. Just a "do you want them or not".... Needless to say...I will ever shop here again. I'm sure to find something at this location when I visit. Despite the mess cause by 85% of the customers. I always catch customers pulling clothes off hangers and throwing them on top of the racks or underneath hung clothes to be kicked around on the floor, unwrapping items from a box and leaving them on the table due to laziness of not putting it back in. I used to frequent this shop in the morning after class and it would be clean and later on during the day it would be a load of a mess. It's hard for 3 workers to clean up after 15+ customers making a mess every minute. I feel bad for the workers. read more

I am an official Marshall's convert. Funny thing is up until about 6 years I didn't know they existed. I'm not sure I even noticed their presence. But after my first intro I was hooked. I had always been a shop a holic up to that point....Nordstrom's half yearly was a planned vacation for me, not just a day at the store. but once I found that I could shop at a store and buy some of the same brands for a fraction of the cost, my life was changed forever. So to the point of this review, this location is just o.k. It really is hit and miss to whether you will find anything worth scavenging for hours through racks for. Save your time for the La Jolla or Carmel Mountain location. read more

Wow what a 180. So last time I was here there was tons to chose from. Staff was friendly. My visit tonight was unsuccessful. Down right a bummer. Had one staff member say hi. Didn't ask if I needed anything (I was there 1 hour prior to closing). One staff member wized by me several times while straightening shoe racks. I felt more in his way then comfortable. My niece has patiently awaited her Frozen light up shoes. For a 4 yr old I am so impressed and more motivated to make sure she gets exactly what she wants. This is 2nd store that has every size but hers. Which okay I get its Marshalls but this place had NOTHING COMPARABLE. Nothing that lit up. Man I w rooted for you guys. Photos include shoes she wants and some randoms of boy clothing they did have $25! Girls hudsons skinny jeans $25! So just walked in with a return. It is December 15th which is 10 days away from Christmas and they have the return line in the purchase line all in the same single file line which is around the store. I have never seen this before it makes no sense why you can't walk in and return something quickly and not have to wait in that crazy Christmas purchase line. Even when it's not holiday time they do that at every Marshalls I've ever been to. Will not ever be back to this one! That's for sure read more

This Marshall's is great if your looking for work clothes or buying gifts. They have great floor works that great you as you go down the aisles and see if there is anything they can help you with. They have a different variety of clothing to suit all needs. I don't live out this way, but will return for more shopping. read more

As silly as this sounds, I only come here for a few gadget things...nothing more. Case in point: I purchased a phone charger for $7.99 that would easily cost around $20-40 Dollars elsewhere. The same can be said about a YOGA Mat I purchased a couple of months ago. Got a really good one for $12.99 that would normally cost around $29.99 at a sporting goods store.
