This location is very well stocked today. We popped in to get Hallmark greeting cards ($1.25/each) and the selection was very well maintained and inventory was high. They also seemed to have cleaned up the aisles without clutter and disheveled merchandise. I am impressed with how much this location has improved. Thanks! read more

Dollar Tree - Outside front door - Discount Store Near Me - Bonita, California

This used to be my go to location but the last few times the shelves are pretty empty and I can never find what I'm looking for like before. They are always pretty short on staff and the lines are long. It's not as organized as before. The selection isn't big. The prices have gone up, not everything is $1.35 anymore. read more

This review is for the excellent customer service I received from Alex. She was very patient and helpful. Customers kept changing their minds at the register with boatloads of products that they no longer want. She remained professional and outgoing. She definitely prioritizes her customer's request. She is a hard working young lady. I appreciate her tender heart! read more

We had to get some party supplies and this is right down the street from our house. We went to the one in National City first but they had a handmade sign saying they will open at 10am on Sunday. Lol So we head to the Bonita Location and they opened promptly at 9AM. The store was very well stocked and clean, probably one of the cleanest locations I've been in. It is rather small compared to other locations but we found everything we needed here. It's a really good deal compared to buying balloons at Party City or Vons. Now one reason we came so early was to have them fill up some balloons that we put purchased online. We saw on the internet that they or at one time did offer these services. They do not fill up balloons unless purchased at the location. We did buy a bunch here as well but they did not fill the couple balloons we brought in. Very nice customer service and we'll be back to this location for sure. read more

Watch out! You might get charged for items you didn't purchase by sales associate Antwonette. Please check your receipt. Unfortunately, it wasn't until I got home that I noticed I had been charged extra. Somehow, this felt deliberate rather than a mistake. I brought my own bag, and she seemed upset to bag my items. read more

This store in particular is my go to when I need my birthday/special events items and deployment package goodies. The array of balloons, party accessories, and cards are endless. The snacks, gum, candies, and hygiene items are always in stock so I can buy what I need in one stop. Parking is a breeze. Staff are always helpful and nice. Tons of choices whether you're buying for a huge gathering or for your daily needs. This store has it all. read more

Dollar Tree - Balloons - Discount Store Near Me - Bonita, California

This is the first time I recall I've been in a DT. They sell a lot of stuff here for a cheap price (thus the name). I saw everything from snacks, to decorations, shampoos, detergents, etc. It's not a bad option if you are in a bind and want some cheap stuff. I noticed a lot of the items sold are usually at a smaller packaging (for example their detergents and some bottles of soap). It makes sense I guess considering they keep prices to a minimal. I was able to find a cheap spray bottle I wanted to use around the house and got it for a buck. Depending on the future of the economy hopefully stores like this will still exist. read more

Came here to buy a few decorative balloons for only $1!! you cant beat that price. its only balloons that's going to deflat in a few days or weeks. Why not spend 1$ instead of an arm and a leg at Party City. Anyways -- it was super busy and they only had two registers open. They have everything you need from head to toe. read more

I had this Dollar Tree bookmarked for awhile and never got a chance to get out here. As we got here, parking wasn't too much of an issue. I liked this location. It had frozen food and refrigerated items in the back but no too much to choose from. It's not as big as the other location I have been to. My daughter and I walked around and saw many items such as snacks, drinks, toys, and stuff for the home. I can't complain cause everything is a dollar. It's actually rounded out rather than the 99 cents store. Location was very clean inside and the ladies here were nice. Very hard workers. I don't know if I would come back since I don't frequent this area too much but there were a lot of good places to eat nearby. I ended up purchasing some candy for my daughter and some scotch tape. I didn't see anything else that interested me. I will keep looking for other Dollar Trees in San Diego. This one was descent. read more

Attempted to purchase a Sunday paper .. all of the ads and coupons missing out of All THE PAPERS.. bummer

Went to the store around 230 shopped 53 worth of snacks and frozen foods. The lady at the cashier told they don't have change fora $100 bill. What store doesn't have change at 3 o'clock In the after noon and spending $52. I understand if i was trying to buy one item and you didn't have change. So stupid. Waste of my time. read more

Floors were covered in trash. Employee walked by not caring what the appearance demonstrated. My wife and I were in this location shopping. I asked an employee where the bathrooms were. She to,d me they were out of order. REALLY!!!!! That's the same excuse we got at another location. Seems they can care less about the comfort of the people who shop there. Dollar Tree is NOT customer focused in my opinion. I will never set foot in another Dollar Tree. I will return to our local 99 cent store where we have never had this issue. Shame on Dollar Tree and the way they treat their customers and maintain their stores cleanliness. read more

Since November 2019 they've been super empty with practically every aisle being empty, they have some signs saying "pardon the dust as we remodel" yet there is no remodeling being done that I could see. Also the staff is very rude and not very helpful at all read more

This is by far the best Dollar Tree that I have gone to in the San Diego area (yes, I've only been to a handful, but still an awesome store!!!). I came to this Dollar Store location from a different location and found that this store was very organized, well stocked and full of very helpful employees. I spent a good hour here and found that I wasn't running into a bunch of people and I was able to take my time and find what I was looking for (even things I probably did not need). The parking was nice, but if you have a larger vehicle I feel like it can be a bit of an adventure to try and park your vehicle. I would love to come back here regularly and find more awesome stuffies. I would recommend coming to this location if you're in the area. read more

I used to shop here. We live nearby and the kids go to school down the street. This was our go-to place for after school snacks and a couple puzzles and cheap shampoo and whatever else we "needed" (usually min of a $20 trip). I haven't ever tried to return something here before and I'll admit, I didn't read the fine print on the bottom of the receipt, my bad. However, the ordeal i went through today, and the treatment I received when i made the mistake of trying to return $2 worth merchandise, made it extremely clear to me that this company does not value its customers. We will not be returning. read more

I came here yesterday and although they did have a good stock of items, my experience here wasn't the best. As I walked in with my little sister and my boyfriend, one of the cashiers very loudly and super rude said something along the lines of "people keep coming as if they have nothing else to do". I didn't hear the first part but I did hear that. We didn't get a "welcome in" but we did get a rude attitude. Mind you, 90% of the people in there were Hispanic so maybe that had something to do with it. The cashier was a Caucasian lady. After hearing that, it made me not even want to give this location my business but I did need the items I went there for. Maybe don't work at an essential job if you don't want people going into your store. ‍ I hate to be that person but come on. I know what it's like to work in a stressful environment but I would never take it out on customers. read more

First and Last time coming to this store. It looks very suspicious when a white couple gets treated very respectfully, yet when I walk up to the counter(black mane) I get an attitude, for some reason, and a type of a look that I haven't received since I was on the wrong side of town in Mississippi, some years ago. Not to mention, she dropped my receipt as if I was some kind of peasant, WHILE I WAS REACHING FOR IT! I don't understand it, but being that I'm from the Philadelphia area I was under the impression that things wouldn't be the same in San Diego. Unfortunately, This is the 4th experience I've had like this in the last month. Shit needs to change. The cashiers name is Brittany btw. read more

I usually get my miscellaneous nick nacks at this store. Like snacks, razors, shaving cream, office supplies, balloons, cards whatever I need. Usually come here once or twice a week. Worst Covid19 protection plan I have seen yet, I should say laziest. Waited outside of store in line (which is normal) & I see the signs of 20 person max (also normal) after waiting in line for about 25 min as they have someone coming behind the register to come and open & close the door and go back (not safe code) so I go in and there's nobody shopping ! And I finally see everyone waiting in 1 isle for the one & only register open, so now we have the entire store lurking and touching at items while we're waiting another 25-30 min, which I have no problem with waiting but not in a establishment who's lacking knowledge on how to prevent a pandemic and running a business, and the entire store wants to stop and look at me while I leave myself and open the door. And if your gonna wear gloves, you have to change them every transaction just like every other profession who is required. read more

Poorly managed. The store is messy and dirty. I would rather travel out to cleaner Dollar Tree stores. What a pity and it's in Bonita, too.

It has the types of stuff you would find at other dollar trees but this location is great. There is lots of space to roam around and tons of selection , has that clean store look and the workers were very friendly. There are literally 5 of your stores within 4 miles of eachother. ........ your stores are all POORLY managed by people who are RUDE AND the staff has no clue! Half the time I come in to this store ALL I smell is pot by the manager office and check outs.... I bought 6 flash lights a few days ago and when I put batteries in them 4 didn't work. I went in to EXCHANGE the 4 non working one with my receipt from the 2nd of November, Cashier said she couldn't do it so I asked for the manager they were rude and that I should have tried them before I purchased them. They would not exchange them or refund any of my money.... I will NEVER BE back into ANY of your stores I hope the 4.00 was worth losing myself and every one I tell how horrible your store in Bonita is! read more

The inside of the store is fine, even the outside. But the east side of he store there has been two carts sitting there for 3 days, on Allen School Road. Not sure if customers left it in the parking lot and they somehow managed to make there way into the street. One is black and the other one is aluminum with junk in it. The store manager should at least check the outside once in a while, appearances are everything! I wish that Dollar Store had never been allowed to go there since there is another one on Otay Lakes Road just a mile away. read more

If I could give one star I would. Today my Dad and I went to the dollar tree. He called me and asked if I needed anything and he picked me up from my house because I was out of tissue paper. At the register we were checking out and we each got 4 packs of toilet paper to avoid going back to the store. The guy checking us out I think his name is Justin was nice but some one by the balloons yelled at us saying only 4 toilet papers and I responded that we are two people she said 4 per household and I explained we don't live in the same house. My dad said should we put it back? And she didn't respond she was so rude and my dad said excuse me I am talking to you and she responded whatever. I want this review to be sent to higher management. Apparently she is a manager but what kind of manager and leader is she. No respect obviously no values were taught to her by responding whatever. I hope she sees this review and next time I see her I will let her know to read my review. read more

Went here with my kids and service dog today and had an awful experience. The manager Jen approached me with a very rude tone saying that my dog was not allowed in the store. I told her that it was a service dog and she proceeded to ask me what my disability was in front a group of customers who were all staring. I'm shocked that a store manager would have such poor customer service. That is the last time my family will shop in that store. read more

This is my wife's go to store. It's very neat and clean inside. The employees are so friendly and helpful.

I visit this location a lot as a matter of fact at least once a week. Also just a few months ago I did a nice review. However, recent visits are very disappointing from around December 2019 until latest visit Saturday, February 29. I noticed the store looked really empty. Then one of the cashier's told me they are renovating but it looks like they are going out of business. She said there's a sign about it but the sign is inside placed in an inconspicuous location with the rest of the products that you can't really see it unless someone points it out to you. Anyway, I was told a few months ago they were infested that's why their freezer didn't have food items. I will not hold my breath as to when this will be really in full operation so it would be nice if they have a timeline. In short this store is a hit and miss. Luckily for me I found what I was looking for last Saturday but previous to that I was only able to get cards for Valentine's Day. So if you are expecting a full on operation, you will be disappointed. read more
