Bikeway Village

Bikeway Village

Location, location, location…read more I love Bikeway Village because of where it is: at the halfway point of the Bayshore Bikeway. Give me convenience or give me death! BV has Trident Coffee, which has great cold-brewed coffee and food that pairs well with it, including vegan protein donuts! 2 Wheels Cycling Boutique has your cycling needs covered. Apparently, Coronado Brewing Company is coming soon. Sweet! BV is situated right off the Bikeway and the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Get a cold brew and wander off to do some bird watching, or treat yourself for making it halfway down the bike path with a vegan donut or bagel. Check out what else BV has to offer: - Water refill station - Restrooms - Parking lot - Firepit You can even host private events here. See you at the Village.

I went to Bikeway Village for the first time today to try Trident Coffee and check out the…read moresurroundings. It's a very nice place, with a beautiful view of San Diego. I ordered an iced Americano from Trident, and then I wandered over to the large patio area to enjoy my iced Americano and the gorgeous panoramic view of San Diego. However, within barely 5 minutes of sitting in the chairs to enjoy the view, a man came out to tell me the "patio was closed." It was morning, around 8am-ish, and there were no posted signs indicating that the patio was closed. I ended up back in front of Trident Coffee with my iced Americano. Not sure why it was such a big deal that the "patio was closed" when I was the only person on the patio, there was no sign indicating is was closed, and it was quite early in the morning. So, if you order coffee from Trident, think twice before hanging out on Bikeway Village's huge patio to enjoy your coffee while looking at the morning view. Apparently, that's not okay to do (until the other shops open, I guess?) and I was somehow supposed to know to steer clear of the patio. Kudos to Trident Coffee, though. I enjoyed and finished the iced Americano!
