This is the typical Marshalls. The layout is similar to other stores. This store is organized and the shelves are fully stocked. There's a large sign by the entrance stating that mask mandates are back in North Carolina so they require all customers to wear one. There's a hand sanitizer station by the entrance as well. Marshalls is a great place to find seasonal decor. We visited in September so they had a ton of Fall and Halloween decor. I like how there's a garage so you don't have to look for street parking.

Smallest Marshalls that I've ever been in. I am always amazed at how this chain manages to stay in business and be profitable. I mean, is this the first place you think of to get a suitcase or a cover for your iPad or a tub of salty/sweet popcorn? Probably not. I think of Marshalls and I'm thinking semi-name brand clothes and shoes. All of that, they have in spades. Brightly lit with fluorescents (since the entrance is inside the parking deck) and a very shiny floor, the clothes racks are well separated and decently stocked. Prices are okay - not great but not excessive. And the selection is pretty good. If you need a nice outfit or a rollaboard suitcase, give 'em a shot.

You have to be in the right mood and mindset to go to Marshall's. Like Jason L. said, you have to dig to find what you want. I was not in the right mood when I headed there this afternoon. My friend had raved about the shoe selection there, so I decided to go take a look. I've been searching for some boots or wintery shoes. The shoe selection was all right, though not amazing. It had good variety and pretty good prices. Then I started to look through the clothes, but I just couldn't handle the crowds of people and all the digging it would take to eventually find something. Given how tight everyone's budget is, Marshall's is probably a good, cheap place to look for Christmas presents this year. Ugh. The parking garage there is designed terribly. And that's not a good combination with Charlotte's horrid, oblivious drivers. There are so many near-accidents and it's only time before something horrible happens there.

I recently visited this Nordstrom Rack location after moving to Charlotte, and overall, it was a…read moresolid experience. Nordstrom Rack has always been one of my favorite places to shop. I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return.

The store was very well stocked and clean. You didn't see much on the ground from items knocked down. The items I found were priced very well. No complaints. There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return.

It tucked inside a few of the large buildings downtown and connect them all on one level. Not sure where you would technically say is starts but for me It begins in the Wachovia building (I think it truthfully starts in the BB and T building but I can't leave these few shops out in the Wachovia building) and continues all the way to the Hearst Tower. I have visited a lot of the shops and the restaurant inside. It's an escape from the elements outside and a cool thing to see. However on the weekends it's a ghost town. The mall caters to the working/ business people downtown. On the weekends only the section in the Bank of America plaza is open and only Walgreens and the lobby of the Omni seem to be open. There is security walking around though. There are several different entrances and exits for the mall. You can walk towards other building in the area and there are tons of tunnels and walkways that connect you to different restaurants and shops in those building. The only thing open in this "mall" was a Walgreen's in the BofA building, none of the passageways were open nor did any of the nearby hotel employees even know they existed. Apparently all there is to do in Uptown is eat or drink, as there is a wealth of great restaurant and bar options, but there is no retail whatsoever. None. Really and truly sad because it's such a beautiful city, but unless you're looking for a bar or restaurant crawl, or to watch one of the local sports teams lose, you'll have to go elsewhere.

I was being helped by one of the most helpful and friendly employees I've experienced at this Target, and Peter approached and began watching the interaction intently in a way that felt unnecessary, uncomfortable, and undermining, as if he did not trust her to do her job. The dynamic was hard to ignore and came across as both misogynistic and racially biased in the way he monitored and interacted during what should have been a completely normal customer service interaction. It was blatantly uncomfortable to witness. As someone who shops here regularly, this was extremely off-putting and disappointing. If this is how employees are treated in front of customers, it raises concerns about the work environment behind the scenes as well.

The ride back down was also fast and while it didn't stop suddenly, you knew from the extra weight on your knees that we're at the bottom now. Review for Charlotte Premium Outlets…read more After relocating to Charlotte from the San Francisco Bay Area, I've kept my same philosophy about shopping: retail prices are optional if you're willing to do a little homework. I'm always looking for quality and value without paying unnecessary markups, and this outlet center has been a very reliable place to find both. I needed professional clothing, shoes, and luggage for work, so I made the drive out here--and I found everything I needed in one trip. One of my best purchases was a beautiful piece of luggage from Travelpro at a great price. Many of the stores also offer additional discounts if you sign up for their rewards programs, which can make the savings even better. Stores I frequent most: * Banana Republic * J.Crew * Ann Taylor * LOFT * Saks Off 5th * Old Navy (very large location with great basics) * Le Creuset -- always fun to browse, even if just window shopping If you have the time to look carefully and shop strategically, you can really find high-quality items here at excellent prices. My personal shopping strategy: * I avoid weekends whenever possible * I park near the Saks entrance, especially along the back row where it's easier to remember where you parked * I shop during off-hours for a calmer, more efficient experience Parking overall is plentiful, and the layout is easy to navigate once you learn your preferred entry point. Another thing I appreciate is the atmosphere. In my experience, the staff across stores have been knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. The overall vibe feels practical and approachable--people are there to shop, not to show off. There are also plenty of restaurants and fast-casual options nearby, so it can easily become a full outing. If you're planning a larger shopping trip, using store hold or will-call services can be a smart way to keep your purchases secure while you continue browsing. As someone who pays attention to value and cost of living, I've found shopping in North Carolina--and the Southeast in general--to be refreshingly affordable compared to the West Coast. That difference alone makes places like this especially worthwhile. Bottom line: Easy parking, strong value, and a wide selection of reliable brands. If you shop strategically and avoid peak times, this outlet center can be a very productive and enjoyable place to find quality items at fair prices.

However, I do like the variety of stores and in my case the only osh kosh and carter kids clothing stores in the area. There are multiple parking lots so finding a space has never been an issue. There is a food court, shake shack, and Starbucks. My kids love the small play structure. It is very small and probably only entertaining for kids 4 and younger. I appreciate the clean bathrooms inside the food court- especially the family restrooms which has a small toilet for kids.
