I've been a Marshall's fan for many years, but after recently moving to this area I decided to give the Ashley Crossing location a try. With the holidays around the corner there was plenty of home decor to choose from as well as kids clothing and gift items. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I stumbled over some great deals in the puppy holiday gift section at prices too good to leave behind. The men's and ladies clothing racks were also pretty full with some great bargains to be had. No reason to pay outrageous prices with all that Marshall's has to choose from. I'm sure I'll add this location to my usual shopping and browsing routine. I also often find fun small household accent pieces, frames and lamps. Ashley Crossing Marshall's did not disappoint.

I love this store and shop here often but I bought these shoes and soon after realized someone stuck the sticker tags right on the suede. Now I can't get the residue off... I'm not sure why they didn't stick it on the bottom like a normal pair would come. Very disappointed because I loved these shoes This doesn't change my thoughts on the store, it's still an amazing shopping experience every-time but make sure you look before you buy shoes to make sure this doesn't happen!

Marshall's is a great store. I'm not a fan of rummaging through racks for clothes. But I do like to browse the household and beauty sections. The store seemed pretty organized and neat. They have great seasonal items for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

    Tons of food selections tonight.

Marshall's is a really fun place to stop when you have some time on your hands to peruse the racks and treasure hunt. It's in the same family as the TJ Maxx and Home Goods discount stores, and it's one of my favorite places to browse and bargain shop. The store itself is very clean and well-organized, with staff members on the floor to help you find things. The store's layout changes about once a month so you might need the help. There's a great selection of clothes, shoes, household items, decorations, outdoor items, and even food, and you can find some good brands (Nike, American Eagle, Ralph Lauren DKNY, Betsey Johnson, etc). It's also a great place to shop for seasonal items, and the clearance sections have some fun finds. My advice for shopping here is that if you see something you like, snag it while you're there. The inventory is constantly changing so it won't be there the next time you come. You never know what you'll find.

I really like the Marshalls in West Ashley for all the clothing, gift items, and home items that I need. The clothing selection is really good especially for shirts, pants, ties, and belts which really seem to stand out at this location. There always seem to be two or three items that call out to me and I leave with those items or if I do not I will regret not getting it because I will go back and that item will be gone. There also is a good selection of gift items here at really good prices especially the toy section which will have a good choices at good prices. The checkout line is well organized here and they have a really good system for keeping the line moving and getting me out of there with my purchases.

Of course there is the proverbial food court which is apparently expanding a bit with a few other places joining the Chinese and Japanese food there along with the Chick-fil-A, so maybe there is a bit of Hope for a portion of the mall anyway. One corner near the food court used to house a higher end jewelry store but it is now been taken over by a cell phone repair station which used to be nothing but a large kiosk outside of the food court. At the other end of Citadel Mall, away from the Medical University of South Carolina, is the Target store which is a nice one and a large one. That mainly is my draw usually in coming to Citadel Mall but on this occasion I was accompanying my wife to an appointment with a physician with the Medical University. Frankly this mall has seen its better days and has little pull for people to come her. Sad times over the last number of years.

I have personally watched two young girls in the past, bolt with a bunch of purses and drive away. I get it. There is theft. And I understand, during Covid when you finally reopened your doors, you closed your large fitting rooms in the back and opened up two tiny closet style room that you can hardly turn around in. News flash. Not only was Covid and the pandemic full of lies, deception, and instilled fear by our crappy government, of what would happen if you did not getting those ridiculous vaccines...but Covid is also OVER! And yet. You STILL have your dressing rooms CLOSED! I asked the very inadequate, and uncaring manager if I could please use one of the dressing rooms due to a long line waiting to get into the small "closets". His reply? "They aren't sanitized". Well damn man! Sanitize them! It doesn't take that long to do with a few Clorox wipes and Lysol. This is the epitome of lazy 101. I'm sure corporate Ross will never see this nor will they care either but I had to vent. I was in there merely looking for some inexpensive long sleeved tops to take on a trip to Switzerland in a few days because the temps are supposed to be very cool. Well. I ended up purchasing them to try on at home resulting in another errand I will have to do to return what does not fit, all because of poor management. I have been in other Ross stores that are actually very nice. This one is the worst. That's all folks! Moral of this story. If you don't mind trying things on over your clothes in front of a mirror at the end of an aisle, or waiting in long lines to try them on in a closet, then this store is for you.
