They're pretty good on their household items, but don't go here for men's clothing. The men's section is a small corner with mostly underwear and little variety of clothing. Nice Target store with a pharmacy and grocery section, connected to Citadel Mall. Typical Target products, but you can also do much of your grocery shopping here. Lines were a bit long at the checkouts, especially for lunchtime on a Monday. Store seemed clean. Note the entrance from the mall has limited hours. read more

I always love visiting the target! They have such a huge selection of goods and you get in and out. Who doesn't like the option to go to the mall hit the food court, or even go to an appointment? This Target is conveniently located next to many amenities and has a Starbucks inside. I shopped for gifts for my nieces and nephews. Found a huge selection while I enjoyed my coffee. Stopped by the grocery to grab snacks and drinks then home items for laundry items. Please stop by the magnolia section. They always have cute things. I was LAUGHED at with my mother for being HANDICAPPED. I normally have a great Target experience. AFTER A RECENT HOSPITALIZATION I LOST FUNCTION OF MY RIGHT ARM. I had lost 80 lb and my mom was getting me bras that fit. An older lady at the fitting room named PAULA, told us we could only have 10 at a time. We obliged. I went into the handicap room because of my disability. When my mother was in the room helping me, the lady took the clothes that were in the cart and put them away. When my mom entered the handicap dressing room the lady told her that she had to be handicapped to use it and she replied saying that her daughter, (me), was indeed handicap. When she went back to the cart to grab more items, as we exchanged and tried on, she found that some items were missing. The lady told my mom that we were taking a long time so they started putting things back even though it was not closing time, it was around 3:00 p.m. My mom got upset and said can you please go grab what you put back, I was helping my daughter she's handicap. They said that they wouldn't be able to find them.One of the girls, whose name I did not get, had short braids and looked younger, started laughing at me and my mom as we said we were sorry for taking so long but I couldn't help that my arm was paralyzed. She and Paula laughed at my mother and I, we were taken aback by this behavior. My mother went to speak to the manager who said she would talk to those employees for that behavior. But she would not reveal the name of the other girl who was laughing at us. I went to go find the girl and I saw her she wasn't wearing a name tag and my mom and I asked her for her name separately and she would not give it to us. This has been a recent injury for me and I'm trying to adapt. Not being able to use my right arm limits my abilities greatly, not to mention my leg is also injured so I can't walk well. I've never in my life thought that someone would laugh at me for being disabled. My mother and I left feeling heartbroken and hurt by this behavior. We were merely trying to shop and do the best we could give in my limited abilities. We thought people might be more understanding but I guess not. I hope that someone reads this and can hopefully speak to the people at the citadel Target and find out who those girls were so that other people who are handicapped do not feel unwelcome or mocked. The world is hard enough as it is, let's not make it harder for each other, but easier with acceptance, community, and love. read more

With the recent renovations and their proactive approach to COVID-19, Target deserves an extra star. In departments like apparel and cosmetics, the long aisles have been replaced with open clusters of displays. I've shopped at this Target for years, so I had to get used to the open floor plan, but I like it. The layout reminds me of an upscale department store and sets Target apart from other mass retailers. The grocery area still has the traditional aisles- and a wine section that puts local grocers to shame. Buying online and picking up in store is easy, and you can do curbside pickup. Target required masks and even provided them in case someone forgot or needed a clean one. They also had special shopping hours for elderly or immunocompromised to shop and continued to offer these for several months when COVID was no longer widespread. I've never had any issues with customer service at Target. There's plenty of parking, and you're close to restaurants and other stores in the area of West Ashley. read more

I could not believe the mess in this Target. I have never been to any Target and have been so disgusted everywhere I turned. There were things all over the floor in every department. I know that I came the week of Thanksgiving and they are getting ready for Black Friday but this was different. This was just a NOT CLEAN or ORGANIZED store at all. I sure hope this gets fixed quickly because this is the reason I don't go the other large store. I don't think this is what Target wants to be known for. This was the closest target to our Airbnb. There'd not many other other targets in the area, so I will say it was BUSY and crowded as expected for a Friday afternoon. Surpringly inside, everything was still neat and clean. They have so much variety and keep a lot of things stocked. They HAD a lot of options in the women's clothes department, and everything was super easy to locate. Their fitting rooms were updated and very modernized. Overall, it wasn't a bad location, just very heavy with traffic and crowded with people. They do have a big open parking lot, so there are plenty of spaces to choose from. read more

I loved target. Their home base is in Minnesota, my home state, and I know someone who worked at their headquarters for many many(12+) years. Unfortunately, after they decided to fold and roll back their DEI policy, I have decided to stop supporting them. I've chosen to pay more and shop more locally for my necessary needs when I used to frequent the store at least once a week. I forgot to cancel my target 360 account but, thanks to paying college tuition, I didn't have enough in my account for them to get their payment and I canceled my renewal. I think the Head Honchos should take a deep look at where a good majority of their supporters and workers values lie. Especially those employees in the Twin Cities that are directly working to support the base and structure of the company. read more

This target has certainly gone downhill. I came here today and yesterday to shop for a few clothing items and the clothing department was a mess. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. The floors are dirty and the store seems extremely cluttered and unclean. There was literally trash, debris, and spilt stuff all over the flooring. I told my husband how nice this target used to be. From the outside to the inside, it's now a mess. they don't appear to be short on staff, so I am not sure what the reasoning for the "downfall" is. read more

This Target location is pretty solid. It is large and has a good selection of groceries. There is plenty of parking and bonus is attached to a mall for more shopping opportunities. They keep everything fairly stocked. The toys selection is large which is important to note when trying to get in and out of a store quickly with kids in tow. Lines are often long so definitely use the self checkout line. The bathrooms could use some updating but are spacious. read more

This location specifically is pretty decent and has been recently renovated which is somewhat surprising because I wasn't sure how long they would stick around here considering the mall it is attached to is dying. But looks like Target is here to stay! I actually do a lot of basic grocery shopping at Target. I'll grab the larger items and meats at Costco and then head over to Target afterwards for my basic pantry items. Also, my husband doesn't usually mind coming here because he can wander around the electronics while I get my shopping done. I'm also a fan of their app which I use while shopping to scan items for discounts. And Starbucks being located inside the store is a big bonus, too! read more

This has been a big disappointment. The last three times I have gone to Target in recent weeks, the checkout lines were unbelievably long. I definitely like getting 5% off of my purchases by using my Target card. I tend to find alot of items that I need so I do most of my grocery shopping here. I really like the store layout and how easy it is to find everything. The app on my iPhone allows me to find prices instead of having to look around for a price scanner. They have Wifi and my Cartwheel app lets me use virtual coupons. They have a Starbucks which I think all of our Targets in town have one now. This is a bonus. Target is definitely on the edge of technology and that's the type of place I want to spend money in. It also helps that I like the crew here. read more

Typical Target! I never leave here empty handed. They pretty much have a little of everything. They don't always have what I am looking for however. They also keep changing up the store so I get confused as to where things are located. Not a drastic change, and it appears that they are focusing on a better flow for customers. Or at least that is how it seems. This store is a step above the other competing big box store that everyone gets sucked into. It's just a little further for me to travel to get here, so I don't always make the extra effort. When I do, it usually pays off. Well, my pocketbook feels the hit, but I do usually get some cool stuff that I didn't know I needed. Don't laugh. I'm sure you do the same! Parking is pretty easy as this store is on one end of the mall, near the Food Court. There is actually an entrance to the Food Court from within the Target, which I think is kinda cool and convenient. I haven't been to this location is so long. I kinda forgot how small the store is. It seems much smaller than the Mount Pleasant, N. Charleston, and Summerville stores. The store doesn't seem as modern as those locations either. But it's still a solid choice. There's a Starbucks inside but it's relatively small. Citadel Mall has been going downhill for a long time. I'm glad the Target is still there and prospering--I'll stick to the other locations though. read more

The West Ashley Target is a mess! It looks like no one sweeps the floor, the shoes are thrown around and stacked haphazardly. Don't get me started on the clothing displays. This was my first time at this location and it was crowded. Granted, I did go in the middle of the day on a Saturday but I could barely walk in. You would've thought it was Black Friday. Everything was disorganized and stuff was on the floor. Maybe they were stocking I'm not sure but I was in the store for 10 minutes and left without buying anything out of frustration. 10/20/19 Today's visit was much better. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this Target location yet... A year ago, this location would have gotten only three stars. They have gained a star by remodeling. Target is trying some new things and this was one of their guinea pig stores. I absolutely love it. The layout is great, the store is usually pretty clean and organized and there are lots of people around who work there. With that though... not everyone who works there is friendly. There are some employees who seem to hate what they are doing and let it be known to their customers. They are rude, short and have a bad attitude. I've seen it in different areas- dressing rooms, cashiers, different departments, etc. This location is attached to the mall, so there is a lot of foot traffic coming in from the main entrance and the mall entrance. If it is a peak time, it can get a little crowded trying to get in since the Starbucks is also right by the doors and is ALWAYS packed. read more

Do not make the mistake of shopping here. The only checkout they have open is self checkout and it's always a wrapped around to the beauty section. It doesn't matter if you come here at 9am or 6pm; the lines are CRAZY. The Target in Citadel Mall in West Ashley in Charleston is one of my favorite Target locations. I like that it has plenty of parking and is close to everything in the mall area. Even though it is not the easiest place to get in and out of it still pretty cool that you can go to the mall and shop at Target so you know what to expect. The store is always clean and well run. The cashier lines are fast and efficient and it seems like there is always an open register and not much wait. Overall this is a great Target location and I enjoy shopping here. read more

I know some people just love Target. I don't really see the appeal of it. That being said I did find this to be a good store. Clean and organized. Plenty of Christmas gifts and decorations to choose from. The young man that checked us out was very nice. We don't have a Target where I live so we wanted to come in while Christmas shopping. We found Christmas gift items that Walmart didn't have. This target location is great. Easy to find what you're looking for, clean store. The customer service staff helped us a great deal with a complicated return/exchange that we didn't think was going to work out, but they went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and taken care of!
