Most of the items are slightly discounted from that of larger retailers but with generic brands too that offer an even greater savings opportunity. I did find that most of the prices weren't as discounted as I would have anticipated, which begs the question of their value. They have a lot of relatively new products on hand such as Doritos spicy cool ranch as well as Dirty Dew which came out less than a month ago. Most of the shelves were decently stocked. Items such as food, birthday cards, refrigerated items, cooking utilizes, bath towels and so forth were neatly stored on the shelves. They did have some interesting selections but I was on the hunt for two specific items I suspected they wouldn't have, but that's fine. They had two employees and were cordial. That said, I'm not sure if one of them were training or not b/c they did have a lot of stock that could have been put away. I'm starting to believe many of these savings' places can only afford one person so they get around to it when they want or can. I'm not judging work ethic, just what I see when I come in. Overall, this is Family Dollar and we all know what kinds of products they have. This place is clean with employees' nice employees. If you need something quickly, I advise stopping in however since it's literally next to Food Lion and the prices are about the same, I don't see a real need to stop in. One of the cake toppers "pinged" (employee's terminology) as the white female employee at the cash register, used the bar code on the item to swipe it. At which point, the employee told me that she was unable to sell me the item as it was not in their system and that meant she could not sell it to me. She then turned to her right and tossed the cake topper into the trash can. I was floored. It is better to throw away the item then to sell it? Or even give it to me as she then threw it away? I honestly do not know what to say. It has bothered me since it happened which is why I am posting this. I have shopped at this particular store routinely for the last 18 years and have never had a similar experience. Family Dollar #7847. A very disgruntled and confused patron.

This Walgreen's just recently was opened as a Walgreen's. Their sign is not yet lit up. It seems like they changed the store from Rite Aid to Walgreen's overnight! It happened so fast. I recommend Walgreen's over any other drug store. It is my favorite! Walgreen's has a variety of different goodies to buy! They have a whole aisle just for candy, and another aisle for seasonal things (which includes more candy)! The staff at Walgreen's is always super friendly, nicer than at a lot of other places. They keep their store clean too. Check out the new Walgreen's! It's right at the fork for 61 and Old Towne road. This is a great new location for Walgreen's!
