We stopped in to grab some Easter candy. This store is huge but seems a little dirty. It isn't well lit. At one point, they only had one register open and the line seemed to move so slowly. Dollar Tree is a good spot to grab gift bags, tissue paper, and cards but I would avoid this location. I noticed they now use the quarter shopping cart system, like Aldi. ....interesting. I think it is a good initiative to keep shopping carts from being left all over the parking lot and have them always available in the store for others to use.

I really enjoy shopping at this Dollar Tree location on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston as it seems to be one of the best and well managed locations in the area. You can find some excellent values and gift ideas here and also a few surprises that will have you coming back again and again just to see what you can discoverer. It is a fun adventure to shop here.

This is not the cleanest or most organized Dollar Tree I've ever been to, but it is large and spacious. I visit this store when I don't feel like fighting the crowds at Walmart (same shopping center) and only need to grab a few items. I came here during the hurricane to pick up LED Flameless Candles - great find!! They also occasionally offer top name brand products. It totally depends on the day. The lines can be a bit long sometimes, but overall, a pretty good location!

    3) discounted makeup I've only been in one other dollar store this large before (in TX) and I'd say this one is pretty well stocked.

Planning a down and out right side, two middle passes and a deep route, left end zone and double back would give me the jist. Without question, the largest selection on bedding save the big department stores and their tremendous selections. Caught off guard by the kitchen appliances (stoves & refrigerators) all looking to be in new condition -- but I was on the move. Seasonal and holiday product is concentrated towards the front and up the middle in an upside down 'T' shape. So after checking out the tremendous selection of toys (glad to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are still popular -- the 4 foot Donatello was tempting me) I grabbed some cleaning products and personal hygiene stuff -- can you ever realky have enough old school Listerine? Yes, you can and boy o boy do I ever. Pilot and Zebra make gel tipped pens I REALLY like, they aren't cheap at Staples or Office Max or even online, scored the only two packs they had. Two lines notebooks, 180 pagers of very nice quality, thank you notes, blank note cards transitioning and finishing up with caramel popcorn for the ride home --- none of which out any strain on my wallet.

You're met with eye rolls and teeth sucking before they give you a general direction of where to look. My last trip there, I was standing in the line, waiting for a register for almost 20 minutes. There were only two cashiers working. One was doing a price check on a fishing pole, and the other was having some sort of issue with ringing up items. She had to have a manager and another employee try to help her. Meanwhile, the line just kept getting longer. Finally, when both registers cleared, the cashier for register 1 called out "Next in line, please.". The cashier on register 2 just yelled out "Two.". As a man and a young lady were walking up to that register, the cashier said loudly "Come on! Two. Hurry up.". She was standing there with the employee that tried to help her ring up her last customer. When the man put his items on the counter, the cashier asked how he was doing, and he said "Not good.". She asked why and he told her he had stood in line for over 15 minutes to get checked out. The cashier and the other employee started telling him "We are just workers." over and over. The man didn't say anything else, he finished his transaction and he and the young lady left. I was standing in the line, directly behind the registers and heard both employees making racial comments before the cashier called the next person in line. The cashier told the other employee, "Cracker thinks we in a hurry.". The other employee responded, "They're white, go figure they'd be like that.". I looked at my two children and I left my items on the shelf in the line and we left. A manager was standing right by the registers, talking with a security guar. I highly doubt the manager even paid attention to what happened, because he and the guard were too busy staring at a woman and her teenaged daughter doing something near the registers. Seeing how this business employees individuals like that, I will not shop there again. Racism is racism, plain and simple.

I recently moved back to Summerville so I made the trip to North Charleston to get a few items. Overall this is pretty much like any other Hobby Lobby with one exception, which I'll bury somewhere in here if you keep reading. Walking in a week after the doors were unlocked for the general public, the experience is almost exactly similar to all other Hobby Lobby's; the space wide open yet filled with shelves of knick-knacks, art supplies, nostalgic themed items and many other items. The place is very clean and sterile while being well stocked and thoughtfully displayed, playing on the casual shoppers innate impulse shopping with "Oh I might need that one day" mentality. Therein lies my personal weakness as I headed back to the front to grab a cart to load up with items, I really didn't need but I could justify in my mind. I could drag the review out but, it's Hobby Lobby and you know what you're getting. Clean and safe stores with all sorts of items, and generally good employees. But that is one of the flaws of this particular store, the people were slow to respond and weren't well trained as they seemed to be missing a clue or two. While I'm ignorant of the inner workings I'd wager management isn't exactly up to par here. That said for the general public I don't think that would be an issue, just my knit picking. I'll end my review with it's not a bad store and it just needs a little TLC in terms of customer relations. Stop on by and take some time to relax and walk around a little and enjoy life while shopping.

She was very helpful and nice to my daughter since it was her first time getting her ears pierced. She made her feel very comfortable and even asked if she wanted to hold on to a stuffed animal. Grant it my daughter is 14 and she was a little embarrassed. She was a trooper . She said it didn't even hurt. I only wish the store was a little bigger because when you have a few people in there shopping, it got a little stuffy. They had some really good deals too that my daughter and I took.
