    Cool luggage, very lightweight too.

About a year ago, Burlington replaced Sears as an anchor store in the mall. Until then, I hadn't been inside a Burlington store in years, and the jingle from the 1990s commercial is still stuck in my head (Burlington Coat Factory- We're more than great coats). Burlington seems like a more organized version of a TJ Maxx or Marshall's, with a better selection of kid's items. They also have a good selection of home items at very competitive prices, and they have clearance sections. Since it's back to school time, a lot of summer items were on clearance and a lot of kids school uniform items were on display. You can enter from the mall entrance or from the parking lot, and checkouts are at both entrances.

Burlington always offers great stuff for a low price. Anything you are looking for they have. Whether it's shoes, clothes, baby supplies, home accessories, etc. they have it all. This store has changed since the pandemic though. You used to could walk into Burlington through the mall but they have that part closed now. You can only enter through their doors in the front. It's been super busy lately so make sure you have enough time. The last time I visited, my friend and I waited in line for an hour. But we couldn't pass up their great selection of winter boots. Plus it's shopping so how could you be mad. Also please be patient with the staff. They are very nice and only doing their jobs. They didn't ask for all of Charleston to come in at the same time.

Burlington is ok. It's one of the nicer ones I've been to but this store is very new so that could have something to do with it. The store is bright and the aisles are wide...you don't have to squeeze by people walk down one. It's very organized and neat. They have plenty of clothes in the women's department--I didn't get close enough to check out the quality though. The men's clothing department is much smaller. They have an ok selection of costume jewelry. The shoe department needs major work. The kitchen and household sections are the best but still not great.

I really like this Burlington location. They have really good prices and selection on a wide range of clothes and other goods. The location inside Northwoods Mall is also really convenient. Awesome store overall. They are always bringing in fresh new clothes and I am happy with the quality and selection.

Hamrick's is a great option. My last visit was not a good one. Went in with my family trying to help my cousin find a belt - we located one and all the signs say everything was on sale for either $10 or $20 (with original price ranges listed on the sign to indicate which was the sale price). At the register, it rang up for $25, which was obviously not correct - and according to the original price, it should have been $10. I went back, took pictures of the signs, and when I was walking back to the register, the cashier had given the belt to another staff member to check the price. I'm not sure if this was a manager or what, but I showed her the pictures and was told it must have been a different item. After trying to explain the original price and the sale prices, she said "I hate to tell you that the signs are not always the correct/same items or prices. I am not going to argue with you!" I was like, listen, either way, it rang up for $25, which is obviously not correct and she told the cashier to ring it up $20. She was extremely rude. I was not arguing with her, raising my voice or being disrespectful. I went to take pictures for them quickly so they didn't have to send someone to the back to check. And if the price is incorrect, I simply asked them to correct it. And don't tell me that I just have to deal with it because the signs aren't always right. Why are you posting incorrect information/pricing? Maybe you should check that before advertising items. I normally don't have an issue because I know what to expect from a Hamrick's, having been to other locations, etc. But this last experience has made me not want to visit this location again.

There's holiday decor, shoes, outerwear, snacks, and other odds and ends. Since they just opened the lines and crowds were a plenty so be ready for the energy! The line just about wrapped the store but they had a full staff of cashiers so it moved fairly steadily. Staff was in good spirits despite the crowds.

Reasonable prices and line at the self-checkout register was very long - and all the way at one end. Nothing pisses me off more than that, as I can handle the other problems, such as washing off my products when I get home. I get the feeling that the non-English-speaking employees, if not having outright resentment for American, English-speaking customers, could care less about helping them. The times I have shopped at this store and overheard two or more employees prattling on in a foreign language, usually south of border dialects, I can not begin to count. When, however, a customer needs assistance by asking in English, he/she may get a slight smile from the employee muttering in Spanish or very broken English that he/she has no idea of what you are asking him/her. The next time this happens, I have made my mind up to demand of that employee to fetch his/her supervisor so that I can complain further. By the way, this is not the only Walmart with this problem, as nearly all Walmarts in the Tri-county area have the same hiring practices----if one is brown and has mobility, then one is hired. Non-English-speaking individuals wanted/preferred.
