OMG granddaughter screams in the dressing room we rush in, and she is standing on the dressing room bench. No joke biggest cockroach ever.... took 2-3 strong stomps to dis-able the bug. Dillard's is pricey for sure! The store is lovely, better than the Citadel Mall location. They usually have good sales but you have to be prepared to do some digging to find the best deals. I usually stick to the shoe and jewelry departments. Sometimes the shoe department associates are a little pushy. I guess they work on commission. But it makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes. I feel pressured to purchase something. They offer a nice fashion jewelry selection. read more

It's all about the shoes! For years Dillard's has had the best shoe selection in this mall. IMO. So anytime I need a new pair of heels or something dressy, I start here. I've also had luck here when needing swimsuits, shorts, and even petite dresses. It's best to keep an eye out for deals at the end of seasons and right before they swap out to make sure you can buy things at a discount. Their pricing definitely runs higher than the other department stores in this mall. read more

I came here today to return a dress that I received in the mail a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I missed the 30 day return policy by 4 days because I had COVID. I explained this to one of the workers, who was an absolute delight, and he told me that it wasn't an issue and just needed someone to override it. He called his manager over, and she was not understanding and very inconsiderate. She did not care that I had COVID and continued to tell me that it's not an excuse for missing the return window. Overall, I am disappointed with how she handled the situation and will not be returning. read more

Dillard's at Nortwoods Mall in North Charleston is one of my favorite department stores in the Charleston area. I like all of the different sections they have and all of the wide selection of items that they have available. They have some really good sales if you are patient and catch them on the right day. I've never shopped at Dillard's before and really didn't know what to expect. I just quickly ran in when I was on my way to a dinner and show with my wife. The shirt I was wearing was incredibly itchy and I couldn't go all night like that. First impression was that the store looked nice and the employees were great. I ran in, grabbed a polo shirt, and brought it to the counter (without looking at the price). $60 dollars... for a polo! I discreetly put back my debt card and took out the credit card. Way more than I wanted to spend. That being said, it was the nicest and best quality polo I've ever owned. Oh you notice I'm using it in past tense. That's because less than 30 minutes after buying it, I spilled sauce on it and ruined it. It won't come out. read more

Life saver! We came here as a last resort looking for a white tuxedo for graduation and had the best experience. Hazel helped us find one that was a perfect fit and it was half off. Compared to the sites recommended by CofC we got a steal. $49 for a tuxedo when everywhere else we looked was asking for around $200 read more

I specifically went here for the Clinique counter, so that is what I'll review on. (The store itself was very clean and organized well, with polite staff in passing) The Clinique counter was great- went up, advised the woman what I was looking for and she helped me find it rather quickly. I didn't feel rushed, though. She wasn't pushy for other items and even answered all the crazy questions I had with no problems at all. Came in for the New Year's sale and made out like a bandit. I was pleased at the selection and we didn't even bother to wait at the door until they opened. I avoided the overly busy sections (shoes, accessories) and stuck to sections with less people and possible items I might want/need without being over-peopled. When it came time to check out, the associate was quick, but thorough with each customer. We went to this mall to find some running shoes for my husband. We actually were using Dillards for its restroom (what, y'all know you don't want to use the ones inside the mall) and we decided we may as well check out the shoes. I wish I remembered the name of the salesman, but it was refreshing and astounding to meet a man who works in a department store shoe department to actually know what the heck he is talking about. Whenever I walk into Macy's or Nordstroms, they know how to do one thing. Bring me a pair of shoes in my size. And now, they actually have someone else doing that for them, so now they don't know how to do anything. This guy does his own shoe ordering, knows brands, know which ones are crap and which ones are durable, was friendly and talked to us for about 20 minutes about shoes and Charleston and life. My husband ended up buying a pair from him and all is well in the world. Well done, Dillards shoe man. We shall remember you fondly. read more

The best time to shop here is at the end of summer or winter season! Mens clothes are marked down, with an extra percent off! For instance: I picked up a shirt on my last visit for about $7 , which was marked 60% off, then an additional 50% off! Sure, it was a short sleeve, and winter is coming, but being in Charleston, there will be days when a short sleeve will be needed. And I am not worried in the lease that I'll be seen in "last years" style next year. I'll be back when all the winter long-sleeves will be on sale and save big bucks! Called in for assistance looking for Vera Bradley purse (Mailbag double zip) in a certain pattern. Sales Associate only listened to what she wanted to hear. Which I should expect from Dillard's. The mailbag double zip is a recent new style out by Vera and carried in most all stores who sell Vera Bradley and the color requested has been out about a month. She put me on hold and later came back to inform me a new color is coming out 17th and only they have 1 Mailbag . She did not even address if it was the new style. We've also had a great experience w/ the guys who work in the men's dress attire. And my go-to Clinique is always a great experience especially when I get reminders about upcoming sales! I went to Northwoods mall looking for work shoes a few weeks ago and went into Dillards. I had an amazing experience. I was helped by a really nice lady who I think was the department manager. She was very helpful in suggesting styles and brands that wouldn't hurt my feet from standing/walking all day. I wound up buying 3 pairs (she must have brought out at least a dozen different ones for me to try on)! I have never bought so many shoes in my life at a time but this was my first experience being completely satisfied with my shopping experience. The service I received was downtown boutique quality but at a department store price! I will definitely be back! read more
