This store location had a large shoe and purse selection. The dressing room was clean and available during my visit. The store was easy to navigate with the brands and sections labeled throughout the store. There is onsite parking available. The lady checking me out was very nice and helpful with available coupons. Of all the Belk stores in the Charleston area, this is my least favorite. The clothing racks by the mall entrance are well kept and stocked, but once you go into the store, it's another story. The racks are cluttered and hard to find what you need, and the dressing rooms are full of discarded clothes. The home section seems smaller than the other stores. The Belk in Mt. Pleasant carries more upscale brands, and the Citadel Mall store is tidier. On the plus side, you can now order online and pick up in store if you don't need to try on, and the Belk website lets you know if items are available in store. read more

This Belk is average. The store is organized. It's pretty dated. The layout is nice-- it's easy to navigate between departments. Some of the sections have racks but the racks are completely bare. The women's shoe selection is pretty meh. I stopped in to make an exchange. The associate was nice and helpful. The prices are a little high but they usually have some type of sale going on. read more

I went in to buy some quick wedding jewelry. I had to leave, because the line was very long. I tried to check out at jewelry, but was told only jewelry in the counter could be checked out at that register location. I was a little confused as they where not busy and had no customers. read more

I don't know what's going on with most of the Belk stores. They look like they're about to close down. There are barely any workers in the stores. Clothing is all over the place. I literally could not tell the new arrivals from the sales stuff because it was all kind of jumbled together today. The customer service has declined. And it's hard to find anything that you would like. This is mostly in the clothing section, but the other departments within the store seem to be a little bit more organized. However, there still is the lack of available workers and lack of customer service. I have asked if they are closing down and get the same response of no each time. If they are not they really need to organize the store better and speak with their employees about better customer service. This used to be one of my go-to places to shop but this has truly been on the decline since the pandemic began. read more

When I go to Northwoods, I park at the Belk or the Planet Fitness so I always go in here. Besides getting my Clinique moisturizer, I don't think I've bought anything else from here in two years. I go in here at minimum a dozen times a year so it's terrible that I've been on such a long drought. It just seems like the quality of the clothes have declined along with the styling. AKA lots of old lady clothes! I was for a while there finding and buying a ton of my all time favorite dressier tops. Made my New Direction, I loved the colors, styling and the fact that the tops are all so different even though made by the same company. But like I said above, something has changed over the past two years. I hope that 2018 brings out some updated styles for Belk so I can update this review. read more

The Belk in Northwoods Mall in North Charleston is one of my favorite places to shop for clothing in the Charleston area. I really like the Men's section as it seems to be larger and have more of a selection than other department stores in the area. I like the variety of items that they have for business and casual clothes as I am usually able to find exactly what I need. The staff here is very friendly and goes out of their way to make sure that you find everything that you need. read more

This is the WORST Belk store I've ever visited. Old, dated, disorganized, VERY dirty and a really poor selection. It's so small. I'm shocked that Belk has kept this location open. It's ancient and so behind the times. Don't waste your time. The Citadel Mall Belk is ten times nicer and has more merchandise. read more

So it's been a long time since we have gone to Northwoods Mall, yesterday we decided to go and buy some perfume and new shoes. We started at Belk's shoe department, what mess, there was so many opened and unorganized boxes everywhere. When we couldn't find the the shoe, size or width we asked the girl at the register, her answer was we don't sell wide sizes in the store. Last time I purchased shoes there they did have the size I wanted, there was a pair of wide on the shelf just not the size I wanted. Her lazy attitude is probably why the store looked like it did, time to hire someone with a better attitude. read more

Meh. I will drive to Mount Pleasant if I want a good Belk experience. This location doesnt have a large selection and doesn't have employees who care about customer service. I came in here hunting for a dress to wear to a formal event and no one batted an eye my way to see if I needed help or a fitting room or anything. )They were chatting around the register completely ignoring me, even when I walked right by them. I ended up going to Dillards and being treated like a queen (and buying an extra dress). read more

This is without a doubt the most poorly managed Belk store I've ever visited. The store itself is very small and dated looking but even so one would think that they could at least keep it clean and organized. Carpeting and furnishings are worn, torn and filthy. I found no one to be of help the entire hour that I was in the store. I was never greeted, salespeople were leaning against counters with looks of boredom on their faces and couldn't muster a smile much less offer to assist me. An older man with dark hair and a mustache wearing a tie was roaming the store and reprimanding employees in ear shot of customers. This store used to be so different back in the day. It's very much taken a turn for the worse. I won't be back. read more

The following day an even exchange I was making with the wrong tag created a problem and she was polite and just fixed the problem w/o an attitude like many today in retail.
