Located in a very safe part of town, in a very easy to access location in the Azalea Square shopping center, Kohls is there to service almost all of your clothing needs, along with other offerings that one might need for the house. I've walked through the all sections and observed the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The floorplan is exactly like every other Kohl's so the customer should have no issues getting around. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. The only pair I could find were womans yoga pants. That's right, I ran a half marathon with 30k other people in womens yoga pants (relax I had shorts on over them). Anyways the point is they do have something for everyone. As for the mens section it's decent. The available styles are extremely generic, lacking anything trendy. It's like dating the guy or girl which dress ok but have no knowledge of what's in fashion NOW. Their sports apparel section in terms of clothing for exercise is very good, but unless you have a local team, it's for the masses. So what do I buy here? Dress pants, dress shirts, dress belts and the occasional "Kramer" shirt. But if you're debating socks, underwear, tshits and so on, you're better off choosing that big red or blue store. As for their shoes, they do have a decent collection but void of top performance or style shoes. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch. read more

I try to shop here occasionally and tried today; found many ladies tops on sale BUT all LARGE or EX-LG....searched and searched for any mediums NONE to be found! and this is my issue trying to shop here. I am reviewing as a heads up that online ordering that needs shipped that takes far days longer than promised when the order is placed. The problem seems to mostly be "awaiting pickup by shipper" which says to ne that there is a problem in fulfillment. Also shipping the slowest way possible. In my opinion, it should not take 9 days for a pair of shoes to get to me (if they are delivered on time!). Originally the order stated 4-5 days and now that it is in transit, the date is 5 days later. Retailers are suffering and this one may have a a limited timeline as well. read more

I used to be a regular shopper at Kohl's until the pandemic hit. It has changed a great bit in the last few years. They now have a Sephora section and house many brands of beauty that they never had before. I will say I miss some of the items they used to sell like the Earth Eugenics brand. They are well stocked with clothes, household items, candles, gift cards, seasonal goods, shoes, and much more. I have to stay away from some sections so I won't be tempted to buy too much. I will say that their plus size clothing section is has gone downhill some. They are not as up-to-date and stylish as they were in the past. They look more grandma-ish and this is a major downer. I can find a few stylish items from time to time, but this section really needs a facelift. Other then that I do not have any major qualms with the store. I am in Azalea Square all the time, but I have only been in this store a hand full of times. Kohl's has never been at the top of my list of places to shop. I was in search of an item I had seen in another store. The associate who assisted me was friendly and patience. The store is organized. The women's clothing sections are packed. They have a nice selection of active wear. The shoe department could use some work. The jewelry and beauty departments are good. They had several sales going on in different departments. I really like this Kohl's location. I feel like it is larger than the other one in town and is better organized. The return counter / customer service is in the back of the store versus the front. The bathrooms are always very clean. The staff is polite and helpful. They never make me feel like an inconvenience if I need help. They already make sure you're getting a good deal and use coupons for you if you don't have any. The departments are large and they even have a "toy shop" area with all of the latest and greatest toys. The shoe selection is great! I recommend this store. read more

Good store. Same as every other Kohls. The women's side and the shoe department seem extremely messy every time I go. Hard to find items that haven't been knocked to the floor and in big piles. I'll be honest here. I don't think about Kohls when I think clothes shopping. I think about the mall and that's about it. Well all that changed last night. My mom and dad wanted to go to Kohls because my dad wanted some slip on shoes. But I spent a good amount of money on some super cute clothes while we were there! It was a "I'll call you when I'm done" type of deal lol. They had some nice rompers and dresses on display. I got a long skirt to wear for this summer. It is too cute. They have so many choices here. I used to enjoy going to Kohl's because of the sales, great prices, and amount of items. This kohl's though left me wanting me. The prices seemed too high for what I was looking for and the sales were not great. I usually get greeted at the door at other Kohl's locations but not here. Moving from IL to SC a lot of years ago, I was shocked there wasn't a Kohls on every corner. You know, like Walgreens! Anyway, so when this opened, I was oh so glad!!! I can always count on going here and never leaving without a handful of things at a reasonable price. Like others before me have pointed out, take advantage of the sales, coupons and Kohls Cash. This is another great place to find holiday items. I love their Easter selection each year along with so many cute snowmen items at Christmas time. The parking lot is huge and they usually have enough cashier lanes open to get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I am not a regular shopper at Kohl's as they rarely have my size in clothes (size 4) and I know they do buy for the 'full figured ladies'. But I was in for some bath items recently; and since I hadn't used my Kohl's card in months, it did not pull up my account. I was in line the first time with cashier (Naomi) for about 25 minutes trying to get some resolution but nothing worked. I did call Kohl's when I got home; they said 'all good' to shop now. But again, in the store today (using my Kohls cash they gave me for the first issue) still unable to access my account. The manager Terrie remembered me and the cashier today was Veronica, both went above and beyond trying to get this straightened out. It's still not fixed but not for their lack of trying ... I had to use another cc to pay. My 5 star rating is for the manager Terrie and cashiers Victoria and Naomi who were so patient trying to resolve this. Yes, this place has racks upon racks of clothing and it can be rather overwhelming..BUT...if you take advantage of their coupons and other discounts, you can get some great deals here. On my trip today, I purchased two pairs of pajama pants that were regularly priced $30 but on sale for $19.99 each. I had a $5 reward, $10 off $25 purchase and the store was giving everyone 10% off...AND I had a gift card so my total of $24 and change was freeeeee! Score! The cashier was super friendly and fast as were the other employees who greeted me and asked if I needed help throughout several areas of the store. read more

The Kohl's Summerville is one of my favorite place to shop for clothing, shoes, and home goods and other items. This store is consistently well run and you know that you are going to have a quality and fulfilling experience every time you come in here. The store itself is very clean and well organized and you can tell effort is put in to keep it that way. The staff here is very helpful and takes there time to find something for you or provide service while you are shopping. The customer service department here really stands out and they know how to treat their customers. I love this place! Especially when I get 30% off EVERYTHING including clearance and sale items with their coupon!!! I ALWAYS end up saving more than I spend!!! True you need to use your Kohl's card in order to get the discount, but you can pay it off right after your purchase, so that's not an issue - just make sure you're not spending money you don't have if you don't want to get into credit card debt. Oh and their staff is uber nice and friendly, not to mention helpful. I have had problems with prior purchases made online and the people in the store were really helpful and did everything they could to fix the problem. I always manage to go armed with a coupon, and usually if I search, I can find something I want that is 'on sale' and then I combine that with my coupon, and I get a very good price. I am absolutely LIVID right now regarding my attempt at an online order for the last MONTH! Finally, I got to purchase my order, the wrong order arrived, I had to get a credit on the merchandise card to reorder online again. Then they cx'd stating not in stock, but when we went online it says it is and now $15 cheaper. The call center SUCKS! I am highly disappointed, angry for waiting so long, they don't even understand what the merchandise card is, and Kohl's I JUST SIMPLY WANT MY ORDER! I am going to every review site until Corporate helps me since the store and the call center are not on the same page to do so. Technically, this is an online issue. I shopped at this store several times upon moving to the area and I experienced the following, When shopping in the Jewelry section, (Costume Jewelry mind you) I was followed around, Maybe it was just a coincidence that the woman working in that area just started dusting each and every rack of earrings that I happen to look at. On a separate occasion I was carded when using my debit card! It was so bad that other patrons were like did you just card her while she is utilizing a debit card?? I am not sure if they were racially profiling me or not but these incidences hardly seem like a coincidence to me. It's unfortunate because I really like to shop and they will not receive another cent from me as I choose to spend my money where I am treated with respect and on more than one occasion, I did not experience that at Kohl's. I've never had any major problems with this Kohls location. Sometimes items are out of stock in the size I want and sometimes the cashing out experience can take forever, but for the most part this is an "A-Ok" location. I can use the kiosk or shop online for the items I want, but sometimes you just need to go to the store to feel the fabric etc. or peruse the store for other gift options. This location usually allows me to do just that. I especially like the clearance racks they have at this location (clothes, kitchen, and linen.) It's a typical department store. It has a large selection of items. The only issue I had with it is it is always hard to find someone who works there in their department. I had to go all the way up front to ask questions. These department stores are shrinking if not disappearing. Just about all of this stuff you can get on Amazon or even on their online site. The need for these big box store is dwindling. Hope they keep a few open because it is nice to be able to see and touch the item before buying it, but virtual reality and holo emitters will replace that soon. read more

I only shop the Kohl's clearance section. I find that the clothes clearance racks in this store are a little out of control. There are lots of plus sized clothes on the regular sized racks, and lots of regular-sized on the plus sized racks. It would help to have an associate check those racks occasionally and move items to the correct rack. Every time I have been in this store, there have not been enough cashiers. I'd like to see a few more associates on the registers so that waiting becomes a non-issue. read more

I was left feeling very humiliated by Lisa from CT who is one of your managers. I went in to purchase a Serta neck pillow and when I got to the register the price did not ring as stated on the price I'm front of the item. So, myself and the cashier lady (I didn't get her name) went to check the price. Apparently someone in the store stocked all of the pillows under the incorrect price tag. And the pillows that should had gone there were at the bottom of the shelf no where near where they should have been. Unfortunately, I did not get photos of this. I asked for a manager and Lisa came over. I explained to her my complaint. She was rude to me and stated more than once "if you can read it says...". Never once did she apologize to me. It appears she doesn't like her job as she is not friendly at all. The cashier lady said the same to me, I just didn't get her name to file a complaint against her. Kohl's (along with other department stores) raise their prices to make it look like you are getting a good deal on their sales. In actuality, it is just bringing the price down to where it should have been in the first place. This was reported on the news not too long ago and Kohl's was one of the stores guilty of this. If your order gets messed up on Kohls.com good luck... The call center struggles to understand basic English. I was sent an Apple Watch instead of shoes and pillows like I ordered and had to explain 50 different ways that yes my box got there but no it didn't have my items in it. I was asked to go out of my way and return it to the store. I was then told it would take an additional three days or longer to investigate what happened and see what they need to do. I would then be either given a refund or they would resend my items it would not be my choice. I bought items that were on clearance that are no longer in stock. When I got to the store to return the item that had been wrongfully shipped to me they did not have a process for it and the manager didn't know what the heck she was doing. Nobody knew what to do. if this had been Amazon I would've been emailed a label and told to call to have FedEx or UPS pick it up and they would've overnighted my items. Kohls it doesn't have to be complicated . Ps I couldn't send an email because you don't have a customer satisfaction department so I figured yelp was the next best thing. read more

On February 4th I visited this establishment and made a $55 purchase and earned $10 in Kohls cash. Today February 7th I returned to the establishment because two of the garments that I purchased did not fit. I exchanged $39 of my initial $55 purchase and exchanged it for an additional $45 purchase. The representative told me that the $10 in Kohls cash that I had earned would be void and despite making this additional $45 purchase. He said that he could not do an exchange but that they needed to be separate transactions. I asked him how I should get my $10 in Kohls cash back since I was actually spending more (total purchase is now $61 instead of $55). He told me that I would need to return all of the merchandise I initially purchased plus the new merchandise that I had just purchased and re-purchase it together in order to get my Kohls cash back. This is the opposite of customer appreciation and I am disgusted with a sneaky practice. As a long time buyer (have a Kohl's credit card) I am astounded at the lack of customer appreciation.
