I find it fun to see if I can find some deals when I'm looking for something specific (a shower curtain, a frame, a calendar planner)... but goodness... the line is almost never reasonable... it's always at least a 15 minute wait in line and I feel like I go at "off" times... TJ Maxx in Westwood Plaza west of the Ashley at the corner of Sam Rittenberg Blvd (SC Hwy 7) at Ashley River Rd (SC Hwy 61) is the newest and nicest TJ Maxx location in the Charleston region. It's always well stocked, nicely organized and has a great selection of designer clothing for the entire family at discounted prices. I do love TJ Maxx! I went in looking for a baby shower gift and found exactly what I was looking for! They have such great gifts at great prices. It's not the biggest TJMaxx but staff are awesome there, always helpful. It's kinda sad how the Charleston TJmaxx's does not carry any Kate Spade bags or watches. I get a lot of my dog toys here there are jsut so much cheaper that the pet smarts or even chewy! Parking could be crazy during peak times because it so near the Harris Teeter. Also great that Home Goods is right beside it. If you don't find what you need in TJmaxx head straight beside it. :D read more

My review of this TJMaxx is in comparison to the one in Mt. Pleasant. It's clean, very clean, well organized and great inventory. I could have stayed for hours just browsing. The items are well displayed with nothing dumped on other stuff, aisles wide and spacious and carts that actually work. Plus, few shoppers in here.. maybe it was the day and time I came. I was so impressed here that I actually informed the staff how nice it was. It was a pleasure to browse around and look at all the nice items that they had on display. If you are looking for something specific that you went to the Mt. Pleasant store for and didn't get.. Come here. It's worth the drive. By the way, check out the handbags.. fab selection. read more

TJ Maxx is such a fun store to "browse", and this location is great! It recently moved to a larger location in this shopping center, so they carry a lot more products than before, and the building is well-lit and clean. The selection here is always good, but if you see something you like, you better snag it and not wait, because the inventory turns over quickly (if you return the next day, it might not be there). You can buy everything from coffee k-cups to pajamas to yoga mats here, and they have a great home section. This store also has lots of seasonal merchandise for the holidays, too. With the ongoing construction in the shopping center, driving around and parking can be a bit of a hassle, but other than that, the store's great. The new brick facade is giving this whole shopping center a more upscale look as well. read more

This is a newer location. I've been in here a few times. I think the store is a bit small compared to other locations around the Charleston area. It is organized and well lit. It's easy to navigate around the store. I typically focus on the houseware, beauty, and accessory sections. I don't have the patience to look through rack after rack to find a good deal or the perfect top. The shoe selection isn't that good. read more

T.J. Maxx on Sam Rittenburg Boulevard in West Ashley is one of my favorite places to shop for clothing and gift items in the area. They have really good values and selection of items available and it always feels like you get a great deal. This store is well managed and the checkout line moves fast even when it is busy. This is a great store, and I know the new one will be even better! I have had the best shopping experiences in this store-from great finds to excellent customer service. Yesterday, I had my best experience yet. I was running late to an event and needed something to wear! I quickly found some things to try and headed to the dressing room. The dressing room attendant was so kind, and helped me choose what looked best on me! She even wanted to see the final product once I paid for it. I was able to go back to the dressing room, and change into my new outfit. I am sure that helping a frazzled person find a last minute outfit is not in the TJ Maxx employee job description, but this lady took the time to give me just The customer service that I needed. I will continue to shop at this TJ Maxx, and commend the store for having employees who care about the customers! read more

This is a newly remodeled location for TJMaxx. It's in the same shopping centre, but they moved into the old Marshalls location next door. Big improvement. Much more spacious and parking is easier. The layout/design inside is very similar so it was still easy to find what I was looking for on this visit. Unfortunately, TJMaxx is a wonderful place to just kill time, meandering down the aisles with nothing much in mind. There are always things that I MUST take home with me! Oh yea, the dressing rooms are much larger and nicer than before. I was impressed. If you're looking for brand name items at a discount, you should definitely consider coming here. Came to this place this afternoon, after leaving downtown Charleston. This TJ Maxx is bigger than the one at Azalea Blvd in Summerville. The cashier informed me that this place opened last September. A lot of cashiers available, therefore the line went very quickly. I found a lot of nice things today for half the price. You can pretty much spend almost an hour or two browsing the aisles of clothes and home goodies.... This place is organized and a lot of people come thru a lot..... The selection at this location aren't as great as some others nearby, but it is convenient on my way home from work so I stop in occasionally. They have a huge ladies clearance section but not too many shoe options. They also don't have a ton of higher end handbags (from what I've seen). Several staff members stopped to make sure I found everything I needed, but the dressing rooms have always been a mess when I've visited. Who doesn't love hunting for a good deal? This is the new and improved and bigger TJ Maxx that moved a couple shops down from the original store. Still in the same shopping center. The staff (especially the check-out girls) are always so nice! It's hit or miss, but I never leave empty handed. They are always restocking, so check it out if you're in the area. read more

MOST of the staff was very friendly and helpful. A taller younger boy helped me find a certain candle I was looking for and went even further then that and recommended similar candles they were carrying that smelled honestly even better!! I love TJ Maxx! Better than the options at Tangers Outlet, and this TJ Maxx is right next door to a Marshalls/Homegoods. You get a lot of bang for your buck in this location! I popped by this location earlier today, and was super impressed. There bag selection is top notch- soooo much Michael Kors right now. The shoes are always great, with plenty of deep discounts/clearance. The underwear dept is full of bargains, with a lot of bras in the $5 range. They have great deals on Chi hair products, among other spa/beauty goodies. I didn't take a good look at the housewares section, which is usually pretty good. The clothing is kind of all over the place, but that's part of the fun-- for anyone in the area who hasn't been here before, I recommend it. read more

This location just moved within it's shopping center. The new store is much better, and is extremly well stocked! They have tons of clothes, designer purses, great snacks and home goods! They honestly are making the Marshalls in West Ashley look crummy now and it's rather new. The other day I went to the Marshalls and TJ Maxx in Mt Pleasant and the TJ Maxx in West Ashley had a much better purse selection. I will be hitting up TJ Maxx more in the future ;) read more

The remodel looks great - it's very clean and organized. They have a great selection - especially the handbag department! They have a lot more than most, and you can find some great deals on designer bags - Michael Kors, Kate Spade, etc. read more
