Sometimes, I feel like I live at this Target. I've been here so many times, they should just offer me a job already. I love Target because it pretty much has everything I ever need (and then some). For instance, I went in here for shampoo today, and left with a new laptop bag, a Starbucks coffee, a paperback book, and some dog treats, and I don't even own a dog. They give you free wifi, which works about 60% of the time. I always use their Cartwheel app in addition to Ibotta to save a bunch of mula, which is always nice. The checkout can often be slow, as they tend to always feel understaffed, but they just installed a self-checkout lane, so that seems to be alleviating some of the pressure. read more

Target at Citadel Mall west of the Ashley looks great since their recent remodeling. I love the new, brighter lighting and appreciate that the store is always so clean and well-organized. In my opinion this is the nicest Target store in the Charleston metro area. It's definitely their most centrally located/easily accessible store. I wish they'd add another entrance on the back side of the building though. Since this is a mall location they have tons of available parking on the rear side of the building but only the main entrance and mall entrance so everyone is parked in the same location trying to jostle for the closest parking spot. read more

This is a great Target! Everyone is nice and helpful. It's always clean, and it's easy to find what I need. The lady who works most days in the "café area" truly knows what service means. She connects with customers, and always has a smile and a kind word. I love being able to go to this Target after finishing some mall shopping. The food section is also well done-fruit and veggies are fresh, and there's a nice variety of frozen foods. read more

I love Target. I love Target a lot and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I much prefer this location to the one in Mt Pleasant, even though the parking lot is bizarre. I will say this-- the bonus of being attached to a (dying) mall, is that there is always some parking. You may have to walk a bit, but you'll always snag a spot. This Target feels easy to navigate and is usually a pleasant shopping experience. They have a Starbucks tucked in next to the main entrance to get jazzed before your shopping trip (or snag a snack on your out, as I have done more than a few times). Generally a really clean and organized store. Smaller grocery section, but it's got a bit of everything. They just expanded the wine section, which is never a bad idea. The Target brand has really been stepping up their game when it comes to home goods. They have some really nice looking, decent quality stuff for very reasonable prices. Snagged a few large sweater blankets here that are amazing and were around $15 each. Target, never change. You da best. read more

Target is a good store in a bad location with some recent bad press. Two out if three strikes. With forced competition, they are cutting prices and reducing inventory. It has lost much of its edge and is moving toward a low end retail supplier. Citadel Mall is a central spot for West Ashley and Target is a central draw. It will stay around and be there for diapers and DVDs when needed. read more

I've shopped here many times, I have had one maybe two encounters with nice employees. They are all normally rude and grumpy. Today just tops it off that it's the worst target I've been to. I'm 8 months pregnant and parked right next to a cart return with plenty of carts in it. When leaving with all of my purchases my cart wheels locked all of a sudden, right off of the sidewalk. It didn't even make it to the parking lot. It was pouring down rain, I had my 20 pound toddler, a laundry detergent and 5 or so bags with various items in them. I had to carry everything down the entire row of cars, down to my car, parked right next to a cart return, being 8 months pregnant. I called customer service 3 times before someone answered and then hung up on me. I called back several times with no answer. They have the worst customer service. Don't have cart returns if your carts don't even go in the parking lot. That will help people determine how much they should buy at your store, which clearly you don't want people to buy too much. read more

I like this Target much less than the one over on Rivers in North Charleston. I feel like it is always slammed when I go in there (probably since it's attached to the mall?) and they never really have lanes open. That being said, they do have a better selection of clothing than the Rivers location. I've had issues with things being out of stock here a couple times as well. If I'm in the area and need a Target, it'll do. If I'm making a special trip, I head over to the Rivers location. read more

Target will no longer get my hard earned $$! Here's why. I went to target this morning to buy four bags of pretty litter for the cats. There was a sign on the shelf, an end cap, that said "buy one get one 25% off." I put four bags in my cart, and when I went up to the register, there was no discount. The cashier scanned the barcode. She's doing her job. She did her due diligence. She did her due diligence. She scanned the item and it turns out it was from a past promotion. Most stores will honor the discount because they are the ones at fault. However, the cashier sent an associate to get the tag. The associate lied and said the tag wasn't there. So I went all the way back to the pet area of target to get the tag and sure enough it had removed by the associate. It was probably her job to make sure the tags were removed after the promotions end and she's covering for her ass. Needless to say I'll be purchasing the litter at Walmart and save a dollar per bag. #dontshopattarget read more

Good location and friendly staff. Always have stuff stocked especially the fresh foods which is awesome. Prices are reasonable and using the target app helps cut down prices even more. We usually shop here about once a week. read more

I previously reviewed this Target and that opinion hasn't changed much. Nice staff, long lines, good merchandise. This update is strictly about the Starbucks. They are wonderful. One lady is there 90% of the time (I believe she is the Sbux manager) and she is simply delightful. We ended up discussing baseball for several minutes while she made our drinks. There's also a bearded guy who's there often who is extremely nice. Honestly, all of their staff is friendly. Our drinks are always made perfectly. The condiment bar is stocked and clean. read more

This Target is attached to the mall, which I had never seen before. Parking is far enough away from the main mall that their isn't an overflow issue. Staff is friendly and helpful. Selection is really good. They have a larger-than-average grocery section, including a large frozen/fridge section and I didn't see that they were low on anything from the pet food to the door mats. read more

Frequent shopper, red card user, target is our go-to store for home goods. I haven't been to Wal-Mart in almost 2 decades, so be assured Target is a standard in my shopping routine. That is the main reason I am writing this today: as a letter of concern. We went in the store around 12:30, to pick up some odds and ends. As we made our way through the aisles, I noticed how many times I came across product on the floor. I picked up the first couple, but then I stopped, as there were so many things strewn on the floor. Even my 4 yo made a verbal note of the condition of the otherwise neat store. The amount of buggies that lay empty in the aisles was astounding, too. Couple things to gather from this: the corporation is not interested in increasing the floor coverage; or the personnel is there, but they're not taking responsibility of helping keep the place navigable, at the very least. I still rated Target a 4, because this is a rare occurrence that I have witnessed. Overall, I am relatively pleased with the store. Additionally, Jonathan was perhaps the most amiable cashier we have ever had there. He kept us engaged the entire time, and I didn't even mind when I had to pay all that money to him. That's how comfortable he made us feel! Keep him, truly an asset. We will be back, it is just my hope that the store's appearance will be improved. Thanks! read more

Great customer service, clean store. It's easy to find what you're looking for. If you can't find something or have a question, the employees assist and if they don't have the answer, they find the answer. Lines can get long so I advise to come here when you have a few extra minutes to spare. I also appreciate that there is a Starbucks inside this store. read more

This is TRULY the anchor store for Citadel Mall. I suspect that most people who come here on a regular basis, come for the same two or three businesses. Target is target. Starbucks, clean, and a great health and beauty section that caters to most people regardless of what your background is. This Target always seems to have long lines due to only one or two registers. There were several employees walking around and chatting up front while lines got longer - only 2 registers open at 430pm!? Crazy. There's is a lot of empty shelf space here too :( And the personal health & beauty area is always messy/disorganized. The staff is polite but not friendly. Avoid this dump if you have other options. At 09:35 this glorified flea market was aggressively trying to impersonate a failed K-mart 5 days before the final closing. Shelves were empty in mens toiletries, auto cleaners(should have gone to Advance-next stop) and several flavors of energy bars-Luna Brand. Want some "Blue" Powerade multi-pack? Not today sucker! When I sadly trudged up to pay for the measly 4 out of the 18 on the list, the only registers were the 2 people flying one customer service counter register. There were 14 lost souls in the hell line wasting their lives away. Time to bail. Now Target gets to restock my intended purchases-probably next week-in the wrong departments. The aisles are filthy, the shelves barren and lack of customer service is truly pathetic. Time to order on Amazon. 2 day Prime delivery is probably faster than standing in line at this Tarmart. read more

The only place in this Mall that seems to be really doing well in Citadel Mall and thankfully it is here. My wife and I do our Angel Tree shopping here each year because you can't beat the variety for decent stuff including toys and outfits for those in need. Although this isn't the best Target there ever was (hello, Super Target!), this one isn't half bad. There is a small fresh food section, frozen items, and pantry items towards the back right hand side when you walk in. The prices are better than what you would find in a grocery store, but probably more than you'd pay at Walmart. They have a large card selection which is nice. It's located beside the mall, which is convenient. There's also a Starbucks here, but it's always packed. Actually, this whole Target is always packed. Bathrooms are usually clean as well. read more

Extremely nice Target! Newly renovated with a whole new (and large) grocery section to compete with the Super Walmarts of the world. This Target is extremely clean and always has plenty of cashiers. The new grocery section is well stocked as well. This Target also employs the new, radically designed hand baskets and carts. They are a must try if you have the slightest interest in mobile storage devices. read more

I would live in target if I could. It is almost painful to cost because the 'materialistic bug' bites you and suddenly you want everything in the store. Then every 3-6 months they change the items in the store and you want those too. It is a vicious cycle of wanting things you don't need. read more

This review pertains to the Starbucks inside the store (which doesn't seem to have its own Yelp listing, or I just can't find it). There I was, up in Charleston and in need of some quality coffee - but with only gas stations and fast-food joints in sight. Then, after a quick Google - there, a Starbucks-in-a-Target! With relief, I got some cold-brew from a kind, patient barista (alone at the busy kiosk, but still genuinely friendly - a superhuman, presumably), and proceeded to enjoy myself in the cozy little island-like dining corral. Really, this was every bit a 'bucks, except you had to cross over to Target Land to use the restroom (which was sorta fun, actually). All in all: good stuff. What a bunch of rude, nasty cashier's. I'm not really a frequent Target sport and now I see why. The cashier was hiding and had no one in her line. Perfect! I lay my items down and notice there is a coupon in my kitty food. When I say something she huffs and pulls it if and it falls to the floor. She continues ringing up my items. (She had not applied the coupon yet) At the end, she looks at me to pick it up and my lovely lady friend just keeps smiling at her. There's a pause. Much better selection AND prices than I thought. The shoe department has always left me disappointed but apparently they are expanding it. They have but are not limited to: pretty bathing suits (slightly over priced), really awesome greeting cards, cute home decor, and fair priced guy clothes. The staff here has always been friendly & I enjoy saving 5% with their red card. Also, its never a long wait in my experience to get through their many open lines. (Take that walmart!) read more

I love this Target. Of all of the Target stores in Charleston, this one is not only the most centrally located and in the best location but it's always extremely clean, well-stocked and the floor associates are always friendly and helpful when I'm wandering with a lost look on my face. I recently purchased a beautiful floor rug from the home department and I questioned the price at which it rang up. There was absolutely no question or debate and the matter was handled promptly and in a very courteous and apologetic manner by the cashier. I will drive past Walmart to shop at this Target location. I also appreciate Target completely resurfacing their parking lot this week. It's so much nicer now and looks great! This Target is a mixed bag of customer service. I've had the pleasure of meeting Gloria, who is wonderful and goes above and beyond to help the customers, and then I've had the misfortune of being treated extremely rudely by a cashier named Courtney. She was very unhelpful and borderline angry at being asked to do anything beyond scanning your products and accepting payment. She rolled her eyes at me when I told her that my RedCard was approved and in the mail, and asked if I could still have a 5% discount. She flat-out said "I don't know how to deal with that", and had nothing further to offer. Then she raised her voice at me when I asked if anyone else could help. There are too many honest, kind, hard workers looking for jobs for consumers to have to deal with someone like Courtney. read more
