Rosemary is the best! I had found a couple of settings I liked from Artcarved and they don't usually carry those engagement rings, just the wedding bands. She ordered some samples of the settings and helped us pick out the right one for me then they got it in quickly and did a beautiful job setting the diamond. She even helped us find a wedding band that would go with it and stand on it's own (not the one that is part of the set) and what we came up with is a gorgeous set that I will be proud to wear forever. When we needed to order the groom's ring we went right back to her. She gave us an excellent price on a ring that he picked out. He got exactly what he wanted. There's no question that Polly's has a fabulous array of retail jewelry...but their repair services are superb (and reasonably priced); their appraisals are critical if you ever change insurance companies; and their staff are uniformly courteous. I stopped by to try to rescue some sentimental earrings that were costume pieces. Because they were base metal, nothing could be soldered on. I went to Polly's for the first time to get some appraisals on some rings that I wanted to sell. Amy Walsh is the appraiser in Mt. P and she called me (after looking at them) and told me that she would only recommend getting one of them appraised because that one would be over $1000 and therefore worth the appraisal cost. It is only $95.00 for the first ring and then I think $75.00 for each one thereafter. A lot better than Croghans! In any case, I had 9 rings and asked her if she would mind if not appraising them, just giving me information on the metals and stones of each one, thinking that she would be open to giving me a set price for all of the lesser ones details together. So when I went to pick up all the rings, she gave me the printed appraisal of the expensive ring ($95) and a printed run down on what the others were made of and only charged me $95.!!! so incredibly nice of her, as I needed to know at least what they were made of (and willing to pay for that) so I could also sell them even though I wouldn't be getting very much. Thanks so much to Polly's. The people there made me feel so welcome and Amy was so kind to suggest just appraising one. It really meant a lot to me as I don't frequent jewelry places and not familar with them. read more

Rosemary has been amazing every step of the way with helping my fiancé pick out the ring to helping us choose our wedding bands and beyond. She is always willing to help and cleans my ring every time I pop by. Since then, I have even used them to take a link out of my watch and repair my necklace. I had prongs added to the inside of my ring and the jeweler had it to me within an hour and a half. My fiance checked around to make sure he was getting the best diamond for the price and best price for the diamond and sure enough, Polly's had the best deal for him. My little sister is looking at engagement rings now, so of course I brought her to Polly's to look at rings. I came here last Friday to have some jewelry fixed and re-rounded. Emily was very helpful and did all she could to help me. They re-rounded one of my rings and took my watch to have the dial fixed. She did tell me that she did not think that the jeweler would fix one of my rings based on the fact that it had intricate work and its odd shape, and sure enough, he did not feel comfortable working on it.
