The service was absolutely incredible. Checked on us once we got our food. Refilled our drinks promptly. The restaurant was decorated like we were in Marrakesh even down to the music. It's not as small as it looks from the outside. It's actually quite big. They actually have a section in the back for parties if you need.

Had lunch here for the first time yesterday. Was greeted as soon as I walked in. Adam was my waiter and very sweet and checked on me often. I went with the chicken kabob lunch. Chicken was very tender. Was perfect amount of good. Place is decorated nicely. Seems to get pretty busy around noon. Bathroom was clean as well. Next time I'm in the area I would for sure come here again.

Came here with a few friends for dinner before we headed out for a movie. Grabbed a couple beers before dinner and enjoyed a chick peas and cheese appetizer. The server was friendly and patient with everyone's questions. Had the chicken with rice for dinner and was not disappointed. The inside was chill with the bar centrally located in the restaurant. Upon entering, this establishment was bursting with vibrant and stunning antique decor in every corner. Our bartender Jen was so kind and attentive, explaining any new or unfamiliar traditional dishes. I went for a small plate dining experience so I ordered a variety of appetizers because *try em all til ya try em all!* The baba ghanouj, falafel, tabouleh, cucumber salad, couscous salad, lollipop lamb chops, goat cheese with pita, spanakopita, grape leaves with ground beef... fantastic and bursting with rich flavor all around. The MVP of the night was hands down the $3 dessert baklava with crushed pistachios. I am still dreaming about that one.

If you're looking for a perfect spot with efficient service and nice vibes, this is the place! The food was so good, present well, and of course was very affordable. A meal for a party of 4 with appetizers was less than $50. I highly recommend Marrakesh.

Went with my boyfriend and his family for dinner, and the food was fantastic! The hummus was delicious (I am known for hating it), the spinach sleeve took a bit to come out but it was well worth it! My boyfriend and I shared the ultimate meat platter and oh. my. goodness. It was amazing!! The salmon was my favorite, it had a wonderful crust but wasn't overcooked, and the rice was so flavorful! It had sautéed peppers and onions that were soft but not mushy, and my Island Cooler drink was so refreshing and beautiful! A kind man who I believe was the owner was walking around, and is the one who seated us, and our two servers were lovely as well!

We got overcharged? The prices on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. This was very disappointing. I ordered a baklava for $3 off the menu and was charged $4. I asked for extra sauce because the beef shawarma was so dry and got charged for that without the waitress letting me know it was going to be an up charge. The 3 meat platter had 3 pieces of meat per the meat you chose. So a total of 9 chunks of meat for $23. The rice was really good and the appetizer we ordered the spinach sleeve was great as well. The olive oil was authentic olive oil which was a surprise. The baklava wasn't worth the $4 seemed a bit old and not fresh. Pros: Food was well seasoned & had lots of flavor, food came out fast, accurate order, good service. Cons: Prices from menu didn't match our receipt... beef shawarma was very chewy and dry, small portion for the 3 meat platter i'd expect way more for that price.

O.M.G!!! So happy to have found such a GEM. Let's break it down. Location, its great close to the mall easy to find , easy parking and good amount of parking. It's really close to a lot of different stores so stopping in wont take you out of your way.Now the ambience, so fun yet elegant the decor is so festive feel like im really getting away from the outside world. I can see this being a date night , big partys , small partys, events, or just a Tuesday night dinner kind of place. Its definitely kid friendly. When I went there was a good amount of children enjoying themselves. Comfortable chairs good spacing, no one is crammed. The sofa seating is super fun too. The lighting is absolutely beautiful. I caught myself staring at the lights a few times they are just so hypnotizing.The decor is fun to look at too. Let's talk about service. Service is great very nice attentive but not overbearing. Never had an empty drink even when it got busy. Super knowledgeable about the food and gave great recommendations to fit our wants. Now the moment of TRUTH THE FOOD. FOODGASM!!!! When I tell you I was in complete awe of the favors, textures, serving sizes, everything about it was AMAZING. I tired a number of menu items and each one was fantastic in their own way , each with a different personality but all go together.The meats were cooked perfectly and a perfect temperature when received. The salad was so fresh the veggies were cold and crisp. The Tatziki is to die for I got an extra order to take home with some pita bread. The stuffed grape leafs were so good ANNND Cornish Hen was just spectacular. My 4 year old loved the hen dish. The Cornish Hen was cooked absolutely cooked to perfection nice and tender not mushy and not dry at all.Each dish had Just the right amount of each ingredient not over stuffed with rice or veggies is was a good balance. The Beef Shawarma was very well cooked and seasoned. The flavor was something you just want to keep eating. Of course the rice was cooked and seasoned good. The BAKLAVA THHHE B.A.K.L.A.V.A!!!!!! was to die for those thin crispy layers of CRISP heaven and the perfectly executed nut mixture and syrup I got 4 to take home just for myslef lol. I sure left a happy girl and even got some merchandise a Comfortable sweater and a shirt. I'm definitely going back there's so much to try. read more

Always pleased with full bellies! We have eaten at Marrakesh a few times and the food never disappoints. Staff is good however hostesses need to be more mindful of guests and how to welcome you (very abrupt and not attentive). Waiters make good recommendations and know their menu very well. We love how fresh the food and meat is and how tender all cuts of meat are once cooked. All dishes are cooked the traditional way and give you an authentic Mediterranean experience. Our favorite appetizers are the spicy Batata Harra - roasted potatoes with garlic and bell peppers. Such complex flavors that work well together. The cucumber salad is basic but very refreshing and tastes great! For main course we always share the Ultimate Meat Lovers Platter. It's is more than enough for 2-3 people. It consists of a skewer of each of their fresh meats including chicken, chicken tawook (spicy), kefta, shawarma, sheesh, lamb, lamb chops, and salmon. Served with rice or lentil rice, pita bread, and two side salads of your choice. All meats are cooked beautifully and to perfection. The rice is amazing and the grilled vegetables really tie everything together! To end off the meal I recommend ordering the sweetened Turkish coffee. Be prepared to unbutton your jeans on the drive home and, once home, fall asleep for an hour (food coma!) read more

When visiting in Jacksonville, I've passed this place a thousand times. On my families last visit, I got wind that this was worth trying. Say less to me.. referrals are big in my book when it comes to food. SO... looked on Yelp and read a couple reviews (just to see others opinions) and decide what to order. I ordered the salmon platter and my husband ordered the chicken/beef/lamb dinner(the lamb and chicken was the BOMB!!!). My daughter ordered something with no meat? She's a vegetarian and whatever she ordered was delicious as well! Needless to say, the to go order made it to me and was hot. It had fresh ingredients and seasonings that if you close your eyes and imagine, you can taste the seasonings, sounds, and smell of a waterside cafe in Morocco or any Mediterranean cafe. I've never been to Morocco but it is a place my family and I will travel to one day! visiting in Jacksonville, I've passed this place a thousand times. I'd say that Marrakesh definitely lives up to its Yelp rating. The decor, the service, the staff and the food is all on point. We tried the pick 4 appetizer and went with the grape leaves, baba ganoush, goat cheese and cucumber salad. All of it was delicious! For main entree I chose the shawarma sandwich. The shawarma meat was tender, spicy and moist, very different from a lot of shawarma meat I've had in the past, would definitely order again. All in all, Marrakesh is definitely in the running for my favorite restaurant in Jax. read more

Ugh! Y'all I really wanted to like this place! I've read such good reviews and have even received good gauge from my friends. I'm assuming I just went at a bad time because my experience was almost terrible. It didn't take long for our food to come, however my husband only received two refills the hour we were there. We also received our pitas once we were done with our meals and I got my 'Juicey Julep' before we got our check, we were hardly checked on too. The waiter was very nice though. Our food was great but not filling. The atmosphere is very cool! I'm debating on giving this place another try. I will update if I do. read more

OH MY GOD. So delicious. Got the lamb chops, tabbouleh salad, stuffed grape leaves, and baklava. The lamb was out of this world. The only problem was that i didn't order more. Grape leaves were homemade and delicious. And the baklava is the best desert i have ever eaten no cap. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. 5/5 stars hands down. read more

The food here is amazing. I took my dad here while he was visiting from California and we ordered the meat lovers platter. Everything on it was so good. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the flavor was seriously so amazing. The service was just as good as the food. Our server angel was really nice and recommended different drinks to my dad to match what we were eating. Over all I wish I had a place like this back home in California because I would go all the time read more

I've always seen this restaurant in passing and have been wanting to eat here for a while and I'm glad we did last night. Once you enter the little cute decorations and chandeliers on the booth catches your eye. And what I love most is the clear glass thru the kitchen, you can watch and see how they prepare your food. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was SOOO GOOD! Cleaned my plate. Husband ordered the lamb chops and he said it was cooked to perfection but the only thing he did not like about it is the size, it was kinda small. We also got our choice of salad. Overall our experience was amazing and we will be coming back soon :) read more

Get the grape leaves, Pita bread with the yogurt stuff for an app. Then for the meal I get the lamb and rice and I finish it off with there fresh baklava so amazing you have to try it all!! read more

I see people raving like lunatics over this place and I just don't get it. My opinion mind you but they have screwed up our take out order twice and the food and by that I mean chicken is dry very dry. Now in martini's I'm told that is a great thing but not so much for chicken. The extras such as tabbouleh are fine but just that. There is no unexpected taste for your palate there is just green stuff minced up in a bowl with an overabundance of lemon. There is not even the faintest essence of mint which it desperately needs. I am told that if you like honey in your dessert that the baklava is yummy. That is 2nd hand but I trust the person who said it: ) They have nothing to gain through dessert perjury. Overall I have decided that the meals that I have partaken of here are just nothing special they are pretty much meh. The prices for this lovely fare are very expensive and I once again personally am done. Because I believe in props where deserved I will say that the staff are all very nice and genuine. Came here for my brother's birthday and this was a great spot!!! The food is very fresh with juicy lamb, juicy chicken, delicious fresh salads. You can really tell they care about good food. It's a party when you tell them about birthdays too! I bet the baklava desert was to die for because at the time we asked, they had just sold out of baklava. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves delicious fresh food. read more

Terrible service! Upcharged us to a dinner price and we literally had 3 pieces of chicken for like $30 per plate. Some of our food was cold. Our waitress kept checking on all the tables around us but not us. Terrible service and mediocre food. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but this was terribly overpriced, terrible service and the food wasn't good. Do not recommend! read more

This place has been on my list to try for months. Met some friends for a lunch date & had the chicken kabob salad and couscous. Phenomenal. I don't think I've ever had better chicken from a restaurant. Couscous was light and flavorful. Was too full for the baklava but it looked heavenly! Service was great and the prices were fair. Will be back for a dinner date with the husband! read more

The food is always very good. But it takes FOREVER to get a cocktail or wine poured. Every single time we go it happens. The hummus, fried cauliflower, kabobs and salads are delicious but I really wish they got their act together with prompt alcohol serving. It really kills the mood to get appetizer and dinner before a glass of wine! read more

While we were waiting and eating there were several to go orders. Steady flow of customers in and out. They also have a great music selection! After a short wait our delicious gyros arrived. The presentation was nothing flashy, but good. The fires were seasoned just right for me, but a little too salty for the wife. The gyros were as expected, delicious and a good size for us. The hummus plate was actually larger than expected, but a nice surprise. There was enough naan for sure. I did not take any pics this time. Overall experience was excellent honestly. We'll definitely eat here again. I recommend giving Olea Mediterranean Kitchen a try.

Delicious and really great Mediterranean food for a good price. This restaurant is way too cool for Jacksonville. Customer service is amazing, and atmosphere is relaxed. I went there alone once and really enjoyed my stay here and I decided to came here often with my friends it will be very amazing spending time with those you love to and in such a place like it really worth it. Adam and his sons treat me like an honored guest in their home. I order dinner entrees and dessert for 4 about once a month so It's not as though I am a high volume client. My favorite is the chicken Kalaya (sautéed with peppers, onions, garlic, tomato, spices) but a close second is the lamb chops. My wife enjoys the stuffed grape leaves and baklava most.
