Note: I can't say my review is 100% accurate since I've never tried bar food until today. Therefore, I can't compare it to any other bar restaurants but solely on my own opinion and experience. My dad ordered a breaded tenderloin with tater tots and I got the shredded bbq pork sandwich with fries. My dad's tenderloin was HUGE and for the price you're paying we were surprised! My dad rated his tenderloin a 7/10, he said there was nothing special about it but you get a lot for what you're paying. My shredded bbq pork sandwich was so delicious I finished it in 2 minutes. It was bursting with flavor! You could tell the bbq was marinated before cooked. Unfortunately, the fries were a big NO! They were oily/greasy and tasted like fattening. Thankfully my server was kind enough to replace the fries with tater tots instead which were better. Service was alright, she checked up on us, nothing special. Looked like she was having a bad day. Ambiance: What I expected from a typical bar setup. They have a few dart/pool games for entertainment which is fun.

I used to enjoy coming to this place mainly because the service was great and the food when half off was an awesome deal. Now, it's a pub that's overpriced and the service is mediocre. I came in with my husband and honestly I wanted to enjoy something with him but my usual was taken off of the menu and the item I would normally get on the half priced was no longer part of the deal and they raised the price. My husband ended up getting the chicken tenders and fries and I ordered the mini hotdog bites. They weren't bad but for the original price and receiving like 6 pieces is kind of ridiculous which makes it like $1 a piece. Wish the mushrooms were still half off because that was my go to. The waitress literally brought a pitcher and I believe we were checked on 1 other time. We had to ask a different waitress for napkins ans she had an attitude. Probably the worst experience I've had here. Will not be coming back. I did leave a decent tip as well just out of respect but it definitely wasn't deserved.

I was hoping to give this place a little better rating, but there are some problems that customers should be aware of. First, the bartender/manager is the only one who works days during the week on the front end. So, she was hustling throughout the lunch period. Unfortunately, there were customers and the waitress wandering around (even delivering food) without the masks on or in place. We figured it out before she came over and masked up. Since there wasn't enough business to hire a waitress, there were waits between phases. We got our food fairly quickly, but when I was ready to check out, she had stepped out front to smoke and left nobody in place to allow us to pay or to get a to go box. I had to go outside and ask her to come in. I understand people need breaks, but she should have checked her customers needs first before disappearing outside. The sandwiches we ordered were good. My wife got a pulled pork that had a smoky flavor she liked. My tenderloin was a classic Hoosier style that greatly exceeded the bun. Good flavor on both and not overcooked. They do have a well stocked bar, but I didn't see any sodas listed on the menu and they only seemed to carry the commercial beers that are mass produced elsewhere. Maybe the regular customers like cheap beer. I would have liked to seen some local craft beers offered (at least in cans). So I just ordered an unsweetened ice tea. Lost sales. Oh well, it was a filling meal and not bad, but I don't think I would stop again with the lack of covid enforcement and minimal staffing. Review #3829

The potato leek hand pie was delicious and so were the Che Chori veggie Shepard's Pie Empanadas. They had the door open, which was letting in the fresh almost-spring air.) Drinks are pretty much all they have at Snug, to be honest. Don't visit thinking you're going to find a meal, because they don't have a lot of food beyond locally made hand pies and empanadas, a grazing board, and something called Snug Nuts. (Which brings to mind certain ... images.) I didn't get any food, just a Road & Coke, which is a whiskey with a Coke and lime, similar to a Cuba libre, although a Cuba uses rum. It was delicious, but a little light on the booze. It was only $5 and change, though, so it's kind of like what do you expect, really. It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. A hug that can also provide you with copious amounts of Irish whiskey, which sounds like the best kind of hug, to me.

One of my favorite memories from The District Tap actually started with a shirt…read more We were sitting on the patio overlooking Georgia Street on a Fever game day when a couple walked by wearing one of the coolest Caitlin Clark shirts we'd ever seen. We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

Our server was friendly and responsive to one member of our group (male) but repeatedly didn't acknowledge another (female). This wasn't a one-time thing, it happened several times over the course of our visit, and it came across as dismissive. As for the drinks: beer prices were nice and cheap, but the margarita was on the expensive side and not really worth it. The place seems geared toward bigger dinner crowds, which may be why a two-person drinks-only table didn't get much attention, but being essentially ignored isn't a great look either way. We wouldn't return. 2/5.
