What a cool place. We tried this late Sunday afternoon- place was hopping! We decided to sit at the bar since the wait for 2 without reservations was at least an hour. It was a beautiful day with lots of sun. The 2 bartenders were doing an amazing job with drinks for the entire restaurant and the bar, food service and a large group of local ppl. I had the kiwi gun drink (yum!) and my husband had the Islamorada IPA. He ate the mahi club and I had the grilled chicken bowl. Both came out quickly and were really good. This was our first place to eat on the island. We came here for a late lunch. We got seated immediately. It was near the water nice and shady. We ordered drinks. Good beers brewed locally. We had the cheeseburger in paradise. It was fulfilling and everything else to the key lime pie was good. The service was on target. Our waitress rocked. Make a reservation in advance on open table. The waterfront tables on the beach are hard to come by, even if you do make one. We made one in advance, said we flew in from NY to celebrate our anniversary, and still couldn't get one sadly. The trees also partially obstruct the sunset though the views are still decent. There was live music but it was pretty bad. Ambiance wasn't as nice as I had hoped based on the reviews. As for food, loved the hot blue crab dip with fried wonton and the key lime pie. The key lime seafood was also pretty good as was the Hahn Pinot. Otherwise not a particularly great or extensive wine menu. My fiancé was terribly disappointed in the cheeseburger, sadly, but I enjoyed his fries. We showed up before 6pm on a Saturday. 2 adults, and 2 small children). There were people at the bar, but only a couple of tables were occupied. They initially wanted to seat us in the sun (it was about 90 out that day), so we asked if we can get something with more shade. They then offered us a high top. We asked if the high chairs would be high enough for the high top, and they said "no", so they had to seat us somewhere else. Maybe they thought the 2 year old we brought with us was a loaner from the parking lot? We figured it would only take a few minutes since almost all the tables were available, but we then proceeded to wait over 20 minutes before we were seated. The good news is that they sat us at another table...that was also directly in the sun. The waitress was a real sweetheart, but everything takes sooooo long (the 20+ minute wait to be seated should have tipped us off). We must have pissed someone off when we had the gall to request shade, because we were never provided the little fans they gave everyone else to keep the flies away (even after we asked). As for the food: it was OK. Not bad, but not great (especially considering the price). All in all: the view is very nice, but not nice enough to put up with the wait, sweat, sunburn, flies, and mediocre food. read more

We started with the Oysters, Rock Shrimp tempura, the ceviche and Chicken wings. The oysters were really good. They felt fresh. The shrimp came with a sweet sauce and the perfect mayo sauce. Someone in the table said it reminded them to the one in Nobu (I've never been there so I wouldn't know) but that's just how good it was. I hated the ceviche, it tasted weird. For entrees we ordered the Florida crunch salad, Spicy tuna roll and Yellowtail roll. We requested the cucumber removed on the spicy tuna roll and for some weird reason the server said they couldn't. Both rolls were delicious. Pretty simple, just how we enjoy it. The salad has all this crunchy items on it, that you actually enjoy eating healthy. Also the blackened shrimp that we added to the salad was $10 usd and it literally came with 3. For dessert we ordered the Banana Fried Roti and I promise you I will come back just for this. Vibes in there were amazing, they had live music. It's a nice, clean and well kept place. Our server kind of sucked. The food. I keep coming back for the food. Caribbean meats west indie flavors in full effect. Must try the snapper curry and the jerk chicken fajitas. Not your traditional fajitas because you get the roti "tortillas" which are delish. Live music almost everyday! Beautiful dining on the sand or in the tiki hut. Someone definitely put in some love here to revamp this marker 88 staple. Where it lacks is the service. After 10 plus visits it really is hit or miss on that. Takes a bit to be tended to if not at table with designated server. I don't drink alcohol and have asked to supply sparkling water or some sort of mocktail menu and still waiting. Club soda just doesn't cut it, especially when it's not from a can or bottle. read more

Fantastic remodel. The place looks amazing I love their logo and the gift shop. It's a little bit pricey, but what can you do? The prices aren't great for food, but the view, and the music usually is. I love the curry, it was really good. I would recommend it. As is the case with most places down here the service could use a little bit of help. Not really terrible. Certainly not great. When paying $15 for a drink and $30-$40 for an entrée I'd like my interaction to be a little more Upscale It's an upgrade from the prior iteration, and I hope they continue to improve read more

Not only is the location excellent, make sure you make a reservation during the sunset hours, as the view is spectacular...but their service & food is excellent. My husband & I came here on our 3rd night of our BabyMoon/ birthday celebration & it did not disappoint. We started with the crab dip that is served with Wontons...yes please!!! I am being kind because they are still at a soft opening. We wanted appetizers that were on the menu, but they did not have. We wanted the hush puppies and rock fish tempura. The explanation was that they were getting feedback and they were no longer on the menu: I can appreciate that they are removing items as they get feedback, but they should say what they don't have before you start getting excited about the food. We all ordered the snapper fish sandwich and it was delicious. I ordered mine blackened . It was fresh and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was good, the service is great. The draft beer machine was not working , so they only had bottled beer. I will go back, but not until the temps go down. It was Africa hot outside. If possible/ fans would have been great. Just Wow... We came down here for dinner and and to watch the sunset. We ended up at a table only 10 feet from the waters edge. The sunset was great but the food and service was even better. Our waitress, Sabby, was absolutely fabulous. She is wonderful, friendly, and just a great person. The place was busy and it took a while to get drinks but the quality of the food more than made up for it. One of my guilty pleasures are homemade patio chips and I would strongly recommend them. For the entree we had the Hogfish and it tasted great. By the time that the Key Lime Pie came out I was too full to give it a full review but every one else loved it. I came here for my 21st birthday and I enjoyed the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was really gloomy the day I went, but the view was beautiful nonetheless. My only issue was that there were a lot of food items that were not available. I get not everything is in season, but we were informed by that the time we got there they didn't have any more of it because they served it all before we came. I think it was outrageously expensive and the food combinations were not what you would expect on an a la carte menu. The worst part was the trip to the restroom smelt like and outdoor sewage system in overload. Why offer healthy like entrees with sauces but no sweet potato or potato mash. Lobster bisque was slightly warm and considering the distance from the kitchen I'm surprised it didn't get to my table cold. Our waitress though was great. I had the key lime seafood and mixed it with the zucchini noodles because the sauces call for it or maybe even over rice noodles but definitely not the cilantro rice that was offered with it. Drinks however were very slow, watered down and very sugary. Ordered a skinny margarita and Mojito and both tasted like syrup. Very sugary and no booze. Gorgeous scenery and great for tourist and family with kids. They need more staff to keep up with their volume and the size of the restaurant. Staff is running from one end to the other so can not properly attend to their tables. If they can figure out their bartender and add more staff then I would have given 5 stars. read more
