I originally connected with them through Thumbtack for a sizable project and scheduled an appointment for Thursday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. The appointment was canceled just 20 minutes before they were due to arrive. To salvage the opportunity, the salesperson, Chris, texted me and offered to come the following day at noon instead, along with a 5% discount for the inconvenience. I rearranged my schedule twice to accommodate them during what was already an exceptionally difficult time, as I was preparing to say goodbye to my 16-year-old dog that weekend. Chris did arrive on Friday as promised, but a week has now passed and I have received neither a bid nor any follow-up communication from anyone at the company. Shortly after the appointment, their Thumbtack profile was also removed or hidden. While I can't say why, the timing was odd, as it prevented me from leaving a review on the platform where we originally connected. I've uploaded screenshots with this review documenting the interaction, including Chris's last-minute cancellation, his offer of a 5% discount, and the Thumbtack notification showing the company was no longer available on the platform. The crew was there consistently, and the overall quality of the work was good. As with any project of this size, there were some hiccups and moments of frustration along the way, but Joseph worked with us to address the issues and ultimately resolved everything to our satisfaction. We also had a few warranty issues with the Pentair equipment several months after completion, and Joseph remained responsive and prompt about getting those sorted out. We have used a few other landscapers since our home was built in 1985, but Mirage has been the best by far, from design to implementation, and follow up. Joseph recommended suppliers and went with us on several occasions to select both hardscape and plantings. During construction, a newly installed water line from the street burst at about 4 am. I shut of the main valve at the street and called Joseph in a near panic as we were scheduled to take a trip to Catalina Island in a few hours. He told us to go a ahead, and it was repaired well before we returned home. Turned out the problem was due to a defective batch or pipe adhesive, as verified by another plumber. Very recently (i.e. 5.5 years later) we noticed the expansion gap filler at the low end of out driveway needed replacement. Once the recent rains subsided, Joseph had it replaced for no charge to us. People who visit our home make comments on how nice the drive-way, walk-way and plantings look, and folks just walking by often stop just to look. We give Joseph our highest possible recommendation.
