I was having problems with my new lawn, installation occurred in April. Since my project manager no longer worked for the company I reached out to Haven Hub on August 25, 2025. I sent photos and a text detailing the problem. Nine days later Desiree texted me stating the problem would be reviewed. They could not provide a timeline for a resolution. I reached out two weeks later to follow up and still no timeline. I recently reached out again but no one has responded. I feel that since the job was completed and they have my money I am no longer a concern to them. FYI, I had a previous issue with them in July. They needed to apply the sealant to concrete patio. I am writing this to warn other homeowners about my experience with Haven Hub. What began as a home improvement project has turned into a series of technical failures, unfulfilled promises, and legal concerns. Substandard Workmanship: The turf installation was a disaster. They left visible seams running in opposite directions and eventually left the turf pulled up with exposed nails, creating a safety hazard. Unqualified Subcontractors: The "specialist" sent to fix the turf appeared to be a local gardener recruited from across the street rather than a qualified professional. Furthermore, the fountain installation was handled so poorly that it nearly toppled over due to improper shimming at the center instead of the base. Broken Communication: Despite repeated assurances from project leads (Josh and Zac, who never contacted me after they said he would multiple times) that issues would be resolved, they failed to follow through. When I requested a Project Manager visit the property to see the defects firsthand, my requests were ignored. Aggressive & Threatening Tactics: Rather than fixing the botched work, the company resorted to threats of placing a lien on my home and sending me to collections. Critical License Warning: Most importantly, as of today, Haven Hub's license (#1116551) is currently suspended with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Do not be swayed by their initial sales pitch. Buyer Beware! After interviewing several landscape companies, we chose Haven Hub because Branden was a fabulous salesman. He seemed to really understand our vision for our front yard landscaping. We were assigned Chris as our project manager and promised the job would be completed with 3 weeks. We paid half of the cost of the project up front. Then the problems started. Chris never showed up so I had to repeatedly call Branden for updates. Finally Chris came with workers and the project began. The workers, who were actually subcontracted out, completed the job within days. They put a thin layer of DG on the ground which ran off with the first rainfall, exposing the weed barrier in multiple places. All of the trees they planted have died in the 4 months since the project was completed. And we were told the trees and plants were guaranteed for one year--which is standard industry practice. So I called Haven Hub on October 20, 2025, and spoke with Chanel, who promised our job would be assigned to Juan, a project manager, who would be contacting us shortly. It is now 3 weeks since that initial call with Chanel, and repeated requests by me to have someone call us back. Today she called to say that the trees and plants are not covered and the DG erosion is not covered either. This bait and switch approach compels me to warn you to NOT USE HAVEN HUB! read more

Proceed With Caution -- Our 5-Month Experience With Havenhub Now that our backyard project is finally finished, I can give a full and accurate account of our experience with Havenhub. Unfortunately, the process was consistently disappointing, marked by slow progress, avoidable mistakes, poor communication, and repeated attempts to add unexpected costs. The sales process was smooth. That was the last part of this project that went according to expectations. We performed our own demolition and excavation exactly to the elevations directed by Havenhub's project manager. Once Havenhub mobilized, they immediately issued a surprise 28% change order, claiming the yard now required a larger retaining wall and concrete pad. There was no courtesy call, no explanation--just an invoice. When we questioned it, the response was, "changes happen in construction." Only after escalating did they retract the entire change order, and our project manager was replaced shortly afterward. From there, the inconsistencies and reversals continued. Items we had already agreed on--including rebar reinforcement--were suddenly called "typos." Havenhub repeatedly pushed us toward cheaper construction alternatives while never offering any savings in return. When we proactively proposed cost-efficient options (like welded wire mesh), they refused to consider them. At several points, their pricing simply didn't align with actual material and labor costs. A standout example was when we asked to add one course to our retaining wall after seeing the initial height in the field--a reasonable request. Havenhub quoted an excessive amount, insisted it was "pass-through," then only reduced the cost after significant pushback. Even the reduced figure was far above any reasonable estimate. Work progressed painfully slowly. Despite multiple written schedules from Havenhub, not one of them was followed. Most days, only one worker was onsite. Communication was consistently delayed; simple questions often went unanswered for a day or two at a time. We also dealt with issues that should never have occurred. Early in the project, the crew used the excavator we had rented without permission, drove it over our lawn, destroyed sprinklers, and caused damage that later required repairs. To their credit, they eventually fixed it--but only after more delays. When the concrete was finally poured, the workmanship looked good at first. But the crew never returned to water the concrete, nor did anyone tell us to do it. As a result, the color we paid for faded within days due to improper curing. Havenhub later promised the concrete would be stained to correct the color problem--but that never happened. We are now stuck with permanently inconsistent concrete color. The mow strips were another example of poor execution. The first set was poured so poorly that they tore them out--and then buried the concrete debris behind our retaining wall instead of removing it. They ultimately had to return, dig up the buried debris, and haul it off properly. On another mow strip, a worker broke a sprinkler pipe and failed to tell us, resulting in flooding that killed part of our lawn. It took weeks before Havenhub admitted fault and scheduled the irrigation and sod repairs. Even after "completion," more issues came up. A stick from a removed tree was embedded in the concrete and required patching. It took over a month just to get someone back out to look at it. When they finally came, they attempted to walk back a previously agreed-upon discount we had negotiated because of the delays and problems. Only when I pointed to their own written agreement did they honor the discount. What should have been a straightforward project stretched into five long months. While the crews onsite were respectful and did some solid work, the project management, communication, scheduling, and accountability from Havenhub were consistently poor. We are relieved this project is finally over, but we would not hire Havenhub again. There are plenty of contractors who communicate clearly, price fairly, and stand behind their work. I would not recommend this company for any landscaping projects. In the beginning everything seemed OK. The sale person came and gave nice ideas and recommendations as what to do with redoing my back and front yard. Design a digital scheme that looked good and quickly returned with a quote which I agreed. The crew that was assigned to do the work came out quickly and started the process of lying down new sod. The project manager never showed up so I couldn't ask any questions because the person that was the crew leader didn't speak English well. I few days later a women showed up and said she would be in charged. After going over some problems with the initial quotes by the sale person Dan that was differen from the project managrr, I told her quote was in the contract and signed. She was nice and told me she wold talk to her boss and get back. After a few days without seeing her or hearing from her, I called her personal phone number and was told she was fired and was sorry but she no longer with the company. I called the corporate and was told by a man named Josh that Juan would be the new project manager.. I spoked to Juan and he tells me his family members came down with Covid so can really xant see me but he will keep in touch with the crew and make sure things are going well So then the wife of the crew leader shows up every morning and acts as a interpreter and helps with the new sod. To make this complaint short, I wasn't happy with the installation of the new lawn and irrigation system. After 2 months of getting the run around by Juan that never came by to see what I was I was unhappy about, calling and leaving text message and not getting a response from him or corporate I've decided to leave this bad review. Now all the phone number associated with this company goes straight to voice mail and no one ever picks up. DO NOT consider this company to do any work!!!! In good faith I took down the first review at the request of corporate leadership. Yes, it went to that level. However, their incompetence continued. This is long. Feel fee to read but BL-I would NEVER recommend HavenHub to do a landscaping project. In fact, I wouldn't trust them to mow my lawn. It's disappointing. I read the reviews, got quotes from other companies. I went with Haven because I felt I could trust them. They failed. I'm glad others had 5-star experiences. I did not. HavenHub SLC, as well as their corporate office's gross incompetence, turned my project into an absolute disaster. Their team's failures are unacceptable--sitting on my project for two weeks without assigning a contractor, attempting to delay the start date beyond what was agreed upon, ordering incorrect materials, misinterpreting plans, providing a project manager that was AWOL, tolerating late or absent crews, having to redo/replace the first putting green (looked like a child installed the first), damaging my lawn/landscaping lights/fence, and delivering shoddy workmanship. This was a professional embarrassment and a breach of trust. I was the PM, me, the customer. I proposed multiple reasonable solutions to resolve this project, now 30 days overdue, all of which have been summarily rejected. Their refusal to accommodate my efforts to move this forward is beyond frustrating. For clarity, here are the facts: Mr. xxxxxx, an executive at HavenHub, took over the project from California after I agreed to allow HavenHub to complete it after firing them in the 12th hour (long back story but rooted in Haven's incompetence), I met with the contractor on Sat, 26 Jul. I went over remaining items to complete. Each item was clearly stated and communicated to Mr. xxxxx as well as the contractor. Monday, 28 July, the crew showed and worked on the items. Upon returning from work, I inspected and highlighted items that I remained but adding two additional issues: -Fix two holes I found under putting green -Return my grill cover On a call today, Mr. xxxxxx insisted, no one will return until I act as HavenHub's project manager. They were requiring me to take an entire day off work to oversee their crew. You can't make this stuff up. Mr. xxxxx notable text quotes: "I am not going to have people turn to the project when you are not home". "We cannot keep going back and forth, It's costing the Company money and resources to go back and forth when these issues all should have been addressed while the contractor was there.". The thing is......they were addressed. The arrogance and hubris of a HavenHub executive making those statements is appalling. Today, the buffoonery continued. Unbeknownst to Mr. xxxxx, a crew attempted to fix the holes under the green. Instead of doing the right thing and pulling up the green, they took the lazy way out. They cut a "T" into the putting surface. Filled it with dirt. Then patched the green. Those cuts are noticeable and will fray overtime. Terrible company...beware. Oh, and not a peep from them regarding my damaged items. And I still don't have my grill cover. 17/31/25 UPDATE I reported HavenHub to local law enforcement after one of their senior executives refused to answer numerous texts regarding my lost/stolen grill cover. A North Salt Lake City Officer took my report and will be investigating. You read that correct. I, the customer, had to call the cops on a Landscape company. As of this evening, I still don't have my grill cover back. Folks-This is the company you will deal with if you hire HavenHub. A company who over promises but cannot deliver. Where do I start! The project manager Jayden is an absolute rookie when it comes to his job. We had wanted a pergola and pavers put in along with fake grass, Jayden had his guys do the pavers first before putting in the pergola post. Jayden suggested I put the post in my grass area. I did not want the posts in my grass so I refused that idea. The pavers were put in nicely and was happy. Being that the pavers were done first a crew had to come in with a jack hammer and knock out the great work the pavers did to insert the posts. The crew that did that did a shit job reinstalling the pavers around the posts. One of the workers left several cigarettes butts in my yard not once but twice. The workers also were eating underneath my patio. They ended up staining my patio which resulted in them having to repaint my back porch. They installed the front of my 35ft pergola in two pieces instead of one long piece. They didn't even cut the pieces in half they did it uneven. They used white caulking and spray painted the white caulking a different color than my pergola. The front had to be replaced cause it looked terrible. The workers not once but twice got white caulking on my Pitboss BBQ cover which I'm waiting to have replaced. On top of everything after the job was so called done. Jayden had people coming in my backyard on my property without notice. I would go outside and people were in my yard. That's technically trespassing my property without any notice. Dave who i believe manages the crew that came over. He came to my house and saw that the pavers around the posts did not look right and needed to be pounded down due to them not being level. They come over yesterday 07/17/2025 and pounded them in and broke one of my pavers. This has been an absolute nightmare of a company to work with. I contacted Haven Hub through their website. A representative called me and we set up an appointment for the end of June. I needed to change the appointment date, so I called them to do so. They said they had no record of my appointment. The next day, a representative showed up at my home. I walked her around and we discussed the project. She said she did not need to take measurements because they used GPS for that. She said she would return with a design after July 4th. On July 14th, I called them at 855-589-4909. I gave my contact information to 3 different people as I was transferred through the phone chain. The last person named Julie said she provided in-home care and had no involvement with landscaping. I was puzzled and decided to call the number on their Yelp site 855-721-5858 and got a lovely woman who took my information and said someone would call me back. Day 3 and no return call. This is a huge project that could make them a substantial amount of money. Seems as if they are disorganized, have no communication within the company, and really do care about customer service at all. I normally don't write negative reviews. However, I have to start all over again with another company. Hopefully, this time I will find a company that wants my business. read more
