After searching the Internet I came across Saber foundation sent them numerous pictures of my pool decking and concrete slab that both need to be repaired and replaced. They made an appointment for March 3 at 11 AM with Larry. That was confirmed through numerous text messages and email messages. It's now 1245 and Larry has not showed up and I've sent them an email asking what happened where is Larry for my estimate. This is the first time starting off with this company for an estimate and it's not looking great. The spouse had to leave she had things to do and I'm about ready to leave because it's close to 1 o'clock and I've waited now for almost 2 hours with no response from anybody. I'm just not sure if this is the company I want to move forward with since I cannot contact anybody or get an update to my estimate appointment with Larry. Has anybody else ran into problems like this with Sayer foundation for an estimate repairs them showing up or their quality of work! Please let me know before I decide whether or not to move forward with this Company if the estimate comes in fairly. Larry never did make the appointment and I never got the courtesy call that nobody was coming out and after several attempts to reach the office and leaving emails nobody contacted me. It's like they all died or fell off the Earth there's been zero contact even up to the next day. I have definitely moved on from this horrible experience before even started.......!!!!! read more

Saber was recommended to me for leveling garage floor for new door weather stripping to fit properly. Called and was sched 2wks out. 2 days before appt no call I received a text that my appt was canceled and to call them to reschedule. I called got voice left msg. No call back. I called again next available appt again 2wks out. Been chasing rats out of garage. I guess my job is too small? They have if this is how they do business I'm glad I know now. I signed a contract with them on December 22, 2023. I contacted them on January 11, 2024 to try to address an issue... NO RESPONSE. I contacted them again on January 21, 2024... NO RESPONSE. Skip them, very unprofessional and don't understand business hours and appropriate times to call people. I had an inspection appointment scheduled for 9am. Unfortunately, due to work, I had to cancel (in advance) and let them know I'll call back to reschedule. The day of my (cancelled) appointment they call me at 6 am asking if this is a good time to reschedule. My fault, I answered my phone half asleep not knowing who was calling. I told them I'm still sleeping and will rescheduled later. I then get calls for the next several days all before 8am. This morning when they called at 7:35 am to reschedule, I finally had enough and told them there is no way I'm going with them and to stop calling. read more

My experience with Saber was disappointing, to say the least. I hired them to find and repair a water leak in the living room. When all was said and done I paid them $4,000 (the total amount owed) but I received exactly $0 value from Saber. They did not find the source of the leak. They did inject some sealer into the soil outside the house. But whatever they did was useless as the water came into the house just as before. I first learned that the "repair" was worthless a week or so after the work was done when it started to rain. When that happened I immediately called Saber but they didn't answer the phone so I left a voicemail. A couple of days later I hadn't received a callback so I called again. The administrative assistant said she would take my contact info and the engineer would get back to me. This went on several more times but they never returned my call. Eventually, the assistant said they did not offer any kind of warranty on the work. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that before signing the contract. More fool, I. No one ever called me back. No one contacted me by text or email. I simply lost my $4,000. Later, when interviewing subsequent contractors I learned that the problem was actually simple to diagnose and simple to fix by any contractor worth their salt. Indeed, I was able to temporarily plug the leak by simply taping up some plastic sheeting in a particular spot. Contacted Saber after searching the internet for patio crack repairs. They responded immediately to schedule a visit to estimate the job. The estimator came out within three days, and after reviewing the job, provided a binding estimate on the spot. Received a 5% discount for scheduling that day. Was contacted the next day by the office to schedule the work. There was some delay due to the recent rains, but Saber met my time line, scheduling three weeks out. I was contacted the day before the work to confirm availability, and the two-man crew arrived on time. The guys were very knowledgeable, and professional. They didn't waste any time. Total job took about four hours, and was done to my satisfaction. More importantly, it was done to my wife's satisfaction too! Price was fair for the work performed. 4 yrs ago had 17 pillers installed in my San Clemente home. Several $1000. Following the high volume of rain we had this season I sent pics of cracks developing around the bedroom windows along the wall where the pillers were installed and asked if the tech could look at them to determine if I needed an inspection. Spoke with Sarah twice about this and each time she said the tech was in the field and she would give him the message. 3 weeks later still NO phone call! Jason Sparks came out and gave me an estimate on sump pumps for my crawl space. I was okay with the price so I gave them the deposit of $238.00. When the workers came out to do the job they said they need to run more PVC to do the job. They informed me that it was going to be about $1000.00 more! That was more than I wanted to spend on the job so I canceled and asked for my deposit back since it was their fault. They refused to give me my money back. Bad business practice. I also received a confirmation email and information about the contact person that I would be meeting on my appointment. My contact person for the appointment was Jason and I contacted him. He answered my call and I asked if I could send him a plan before the appointment. He reviewed my plan and responded to me that it's not in their scope of work. We had the work done in December 2023, and had water in the basement with the next rain. Your scheduler sent Christian back out Jan. 5, who said everything underground was okay and put some Polyseal on the surface, around the foot of the steps. We had more water in the basement with following rains. It wasn't until April 19th that a response from Saber was posted. By that time I had given up on hearing back & my husband was having some serious medical problems, so my daughter & I just used a shop vac during the rains and dealt with his issues. It still bugs me that the underground burrow created by the critter (probably ground squirrel) next to the basement wall may not have been totally filled. Jason seemed to understand our problem but their techs did not. read more

I spent several thousand dollars on this driveway. It looks great for about 4 weeks, and then the color starts coming off. I have not been able to reach a supervisor. Saber recently completed two projects at our home; a piering project to stabilize a corner of our house and a seismic retrofitting project. I wish that I could write two separate reviews for these two projects: one for the crews that came out to do the work, and one for the back office, who provided coordination and communication. The work crews would get a solid five stars. They were timely, efficient, courteous and professional in every way. The back office, on the other hand, would get a solid one star for the work they did. We had to prod them at every step along the way to get information we needed and to get them to do what they should have done without any prompting from us. They promised us that they would walk us through every step of these projects, so we needn't worry about it. They did not come through for us. As of this writing, they still have not uploaded documents we need to submit to EBB for reimbursement for a part of our costs. read more

Poor customer service. In the process of performing foundation work there was a gas leak, they failed to notify the tenants of the home while awaiting the gas company to repair the work. They destroyed our front and backyard with their equipment which required new sod. We paid more than $2000 in lost rent and repairs to our yard and we were given $300 in credit. read more

To be honest, they are getting a 3 because the guys who put in the push piers were great. The process of permitting took 8 months with poor communication ("M"), I went through multiple change orders in order to get the job done right - and still, they didn't replace the concrete that they cut out. The primary problem is that the salesperson, while clearly can't guarantee results, was shown a specific issue driving the repair, and in the end, the problem couldn't be fixed with this process. BUYER BEWARE of the intent of the final result. Yes, they installed the push piers. Yes, they patched cracks. Polyfill is only that - fills voids - it doesn't "level" or "lift" anything. read more

I really liked Saber's push pier technology. We live in a highly expansive clay soil and this solution was better than pouring more concrete. The crew worked really hard every day. We call saber out to fill up a void we located from the side of a multi-story parking structure in downtown LA, the building had bee sinking over the last few years and we were able to fill the void with hundreds of pounds of liquid foam. We chose Saber after getting estimates from 5 or more foundation companies/individuals. The Saber engineer who came out to us was very professional, courteous, and efficient. This was the only company that provided a full written estimate of the work needed with pricing from the first consultation. They also provided several options and the engineer explained them clearly without trying to oversell. Their price quotes were the best and they guaranteed it be better than any other comparable quote. They also offered 10% off of we signed that day which we did. We went with a middle range option and were very happy with it (using wood instead of steel). They initially gave us a start date to come 6-23 but ended up coming 2 weeks earlier and finished the work a-z in 2 days (about 12 hours). The foreman and other specialist were very impressive in efficiency, politeness, and were very responsive to our needs working to make our floor as level as possible. Left the place clean. Provided us photos and showed us the work done in the crawl space. All in all, the best experience I have had with any contracting company.
