Spinach & garlic chicken without the promised white cream sauce
Missy S.

Heard good things about this place, and since we were in the area decided to order pick up. I would say that of the four dishes that we got, everybody said that their food was either not great or OK. I ordered a chicken dish that was described as being "smothered" in a creamy white sauce, with spinach and melted mozzarella on top. There was absolutely no creamy white sauce anywhere to be found, which was disappointing because the chicken, while well seasoned, was fairly tough to eat. Then the side of linguine was over cooked and under-sauced. Not a great experience.

Egg and Pork Roll Sandwich
Jack M.

I ordered an egg and pork roll on a long roll. The roll was soft and chewy, great. The eggs were too dense and overpowered the sandwich. There was also a sweet margarine type flavor spread around the roll that I found out of place. The portion was generous. And the service was prompt and courteous.

My wife and I visited Monterey Grill on Friday night for date night after receiving a…read morerecommendation to try it. We had 6pm reservations. When we arrived everyone was attentive and super nice. It wasn't crowded which was surprising. Our waited was Glenn who was very polite, friendly and accommodating. He offered us recommendations and was very cautious to serve while not rushing us. We started off with the Angry Cashew Shrimp which was Glenn's recommendation and it was amazing! We followed this with a 8oz filet each with the black garlic butter and I got the lobster tail on the side. Both entrees were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing especially with the butter added. We also got the Parmesan truffle fries and Brussel sprouts to share and both were out of this world as well. For dessert we shared the chocolate cake which was HUGE very good and moist. When we were leaving there was a band playing in the bar area and people dancing. Looks like it's a nice hang out on the weekends. We will be back again and hope to stay for some music as well! 10/10!!!

And they couldn't seat us in the outdoor patio that we requested. But once we sat down, we were pleasantly surprised. Almost everything on the menu looked interesting. Everything we tried was really good. The service was excellent. And the live music was good too. And unlike many places, they cooked our steak to the temp we asked for. Surprisingly it wasn't busy on a Saturday night so figured I would share a review. Hopefully they start to pick up.

It was very busy at the time I went and there was to be up to a 15 minute wait, so I was pleasantly surprised when no more than 2 minutes went by before I got the text that the booth was ready. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. It was bustling and loud inside. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and fast. Ordered onion rings for the table, which were very good. For the main dish, this time I ordered the 20oz bone in ribeye, which was excellent. The only complaint I'd have was that the broccoli was a bit off and I had to leave them on the dish. The mashed potatoes were very good. The "steak sauce" wasn't needed and taste-wise it probably won't be for everyone anyway. Located in the Moorestown Mall, you don't need to go into the mall as Yard House has its own entrance. There is plenty of parking in the lots. This was twice for me in the Yard House and I can say I'm a fan. I'd easily come back here or any other Yard House location in the future. And I will.

Dined here for Mothers Day, first time eating here, and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming…read more Definitely reminded me of Seasons 52- down to the dessert shooters offered at the end of the meal. First and foremost, our server was excellent. Polite and prompt, friendly, everything you want in a server. My problem was the food ... I ordered the halibut, asked my server about the "seasonal veggies" it comes with (she mentioned asparagus, okay good) because I do love veggies, but there are some I just really do not. Unfortunately, those exact veggies arrived on the plate, and my entree looked more like stir fry. I don't like onions or peppers ... and they were the base veggie of the dish. The menu describes the "sauce" as a lemon citronette, and this dish was not at all what I was expecting. It lacked flavor, there was no sauce, not a hint of lemon (I even squeezed some on there & it didnt help :( ) I can get past some vegetables I don't eat, just pushed them to the side, but the halibut was so so so incredibly dry. It wasn't soft, or flakey, or moist. (I hate that word but it was the best way to describe what it lacked) It was like cardboard. I was trying to choke it down because I too, had just worked a serving shift for Mothers Day, & it was the first thing I was eating all day. My husband mentioned something to the server because he knew I wouldn't haha, I don't like to be a pain customer or send things back. Fortunately, they did take it off the bill, but it was just a bummer. Willing to try again in the future, & I'll just stay away from the halibut.

It's a full bar with its own bar area. Definitely an upgrade from the typical part time bar in a lobby a suburban hotel. I had a manhattan and it looked fantastic. Look at that black glass! Tasted great too. Problem? $20! We're not in Philly. This is the 'burbs. That was robbery. But if you're leaning into a corporate expense report I guess who cares. Small menu but diverse. A little something for everyone. I got the spring mix salad which looks like they dumped an entire bag of salad in a bowl. You can't see it but there are chopped tomatoes that are in the center instead of being mixed in. Then I got the chicken parm which was huge. It was a half pound of pasta with a giant chicken breast. It was decent, not amazing, but super filling and definitely worth the money. So for in a hotel, Redz is a good place. But the prices are just too high. And with Millers literally down the street, go there for the drinks instead.

There's plenty of disco-decorated bowling alleys with semi-overpriced kitchen fare, and sometimes mixers that I consider to be a tad too strong for my taste -- but this is the only one that also offers alcoholic ice cream, that I'm aware of: Lickety Splitz. Their Sweet & Sinful scoops are divine, in my personal opinion. Five of them, with alcoholic gummy bears, gives quite a nice buzz. My favorite flavors usually involve Adult Birthday Cake, Peanut Butter Whiskey, and Mudslide on the sinful side. Tres Leche and Java Chip Swirl on the sweet side also sometimes tempt me back to the side of innocence. Soon as I'm done eating my fill of that, I'm usually loosened up enough to laugh and have some fun on the alley side. Service throughout the building seems to always be fairly slow, but I always brush it off due to the amount of people in the building. Food still comes out piping hot, and people behind the counter seem fine with helping about any problems I'd ever have there. It's a nice spot, overall.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the chickens are real or if I've been the victim of an elaborate prank. Fortunately, the food more than made up for my poultry disappointment. We ordered a couple different wing flavors, including the Honey Mustard and a blueberry-based sauce, and both were excellent. The wings themselves were massive, meaty, and cooked really well. The Honey Mustard had a nice balance of sweetness and tanginess with just enough mustard bite to keep it from feeling overly sweet. The blueberry flavor was surprisingly good too. It had a sweet-tart fruitiness that sounds unusual on paper but worked really well with the smoky, savory wings. Both sauces had plenty of flavor without completely overpowering the chicken. The atmosphere is classic neighborhood pub. Cozy, casual, and the kind of place where people seem comfortable settling in for the whole evening. Downstairs there's a bar and shuffleboard area that definitely attracts a younger crowd. It gets pretty lively and noisy, which adds to the fun if you're there with friends. My only real complaint is that parts of the place felt a little messy. The stairs leading downstairs were sticky, and parts of the basement floor were too. Nothing that ruined the experience, but it was noticeable. The staff, however, were fantastic. Fast, friendly, and personable. Even when things were busy, they kept everything moving and made us feel welcome. Overall, it's a fun spot with great wings, good energy, and a laid-back crowd. Still giving it four stars because I left without seeing a single chicken, and I feel mildly betrayed. But if you're looking for a place to hang out with friends and eat some seriously good wings, it's definitely worth the visit.

My girlfriend and her family have been dining at Marco's specifically for their all you can eat…read moreDungeness crabs now for years. This was my first time. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday. We finished up shopping a little early and Marco's had no issue seating us prior to our reservation. The feel in the restaurant was what you'd expect from a casual clubhouse vibe. Our server was welcoming, attentive, and very hard working. Constantly making rounds, asking if we needed anything, cleaning tables, running food. She made the experience that much better. As far as the crabs go, they come with garlic bread, fries, and a soup or salad, and you're able to order the crabs cooked in garlic butter, old bay, or both. My girlfriend is the pro and recommended both so that's what I did and they didn't disappoint. The $49.99 price tag on the ayce crabs for their winter months in my opinion is a great value considering other local ayce seafood deals. The crabs were cooked very nicely and were very easy to open. Each leg and cluster produced large, in-tact, succulent pieces of crab. To drink I had a glass of Maker's Mark neat and a draft Yuengling (which you can't really mess up, but the Yuengling was cold and crisp). My gf had a vodka club with a splash of pineapple which was refreshing and wasn't overly sweet. I did not try the garlic bread as I was trying to save as much room as possible for crabs, however the old bay fries were great. The soup of the day was cheeseburger which I chose instead of a salad. I'm hoping it's not an indication of how the rest of their soups are. This was very below average and would make me shy away from ordering soup off of their menu again. With that being said I'm not too worried about the soup impacting my overall experience at Marco's. I was there solely for the crabs and prior to arriving I was not planning on eating anything else. We were told that in the coming months as the colder weather moves out, prices will be going back up to their Spring/Summer prices of $65/person. Definitely get in before then if you're looking for a reasonable price for all you can eat crab
