But the old lady in the back of the bar made a wrong tostada and told the waiter stuff and he said I'm not gonna tell them etc.... She came over gave us the tostada asked if we wanted it said sure we didn't think she was going to charge us since it was her mistake anyways.. we made calculations based on the dollar and total bill was around 165 to round up cents in U.S dollars they crossed it out and said it was 175 so we gave her 180 and said she didn't have change ? since I'm by the beach I went for the Seafood dishes first thing while staying at playas The fish tacos are incredible specially for the price!!! 13 pesos a pop ($0.70) It was too good I ordered another one, crispy fresh i let it sit for a minute and it stayed crispy. The tostadas (fish and especial ceviche) I was more of a fan of the one with everything on it the shelfish octopus shrimp etc were done correctly, both were good nothing fancy. The gobernador taco (shrimp) it was toasted with cheese in it. It was good I just couldn't figure out how it should taste like. Everything was under seasoned but I understand why, there's salt and pepper and bottles of salsas on the table for a reason i have no complaints because that was provided. Chips and homemade salsas were free so as some more tostada chips that i wasn't even able to touch. Homemade salsas were good specially the salsa verde one. very reasonable prices for alcohol. If you are ever at Playas dont miss this spot! Sit at the balcony its worth it. read more

Very good service!! Food was delicious i had the sopa de camarón!!! Can't Say enought how delicious it was. As for the drinks your better off ordering a beer. We had a long island ice tea. I went to Mariscos Colima first, but I should have just come here to their sister restaurant. I'm assuming this one is newer; when I was walking upstairs the waiter told me to watch out for the wet paint. This place looks newer and nicer. I went upstairs for some mighty fine beach views. I don't remember getting views like this in SF, well at least not for this price! Today was Taco Tuesday which means the fish taco which is normally $13 pesos was two for one! That's two tacos for .69 cents!!! This is the best deal in the Western Hemisphere. La Cerveza was 30 pesos. I paid 60 pesos for everything you see in the photos. Damn, life is good! read more

I really enjoyed this place. Almost didn't eat here because of space for our family of 10. Went to mariscos Colima because it was bigger and they were trying to charge $50 a plate for lobster. Normally we go to Rosarito and were giving TIJUANA beach a chance. And we scored finding mariscos ruben! Great great food, great service, we had the balcony seating great beach views buckets of beer, personal musicians, lobster plates $25.00. I love it had such a great time with family. Try and get balcony seating and get scallops in lime as appetizers for your lobster plate! read more

The Good. Great location to view the ocean. THATS IT!! The Bad. The food was average to below average. We ordered the camaron a la Diabla and two Marlin tacos and two camaron tacos. We also ordered a pina colada and a mango margarita. Let's start with pina colada. It was never blended smooth. Ice was chunky and very little alcohol. Mango margarita tasted nothing like mango and had no taste of alcohol. The Ugly. This is why they got only one star. It should have been zero stars. First off we got seated at a table that had hot sauce on the chair that got all over my pants. Ok no problem. Got worse. Only the camaron a la diabla ever came out. I waited for other order while food got cold. Finally decided to eat but there were no utensils on table. Asked two employees who walked by for utensils and they said I'll get it. Never came. I had to go get it myself. I told waitress about both drinks and she said nothing could be done. Kept complaining and she finally replaced margarita with a beer. We decided to forget about tacos as they never came and asked for check. The waitress then asked if we got tacos and we said no and never mind and take them off the order. She said they can't do that since they made them already. WHAT??? You never brought them until we asked for check and to leave. So, we paid for them and left. The tacos were EXTREMELY poor tasting. We ended up eating at street vendors the rest of the vacation and there food was far above this place. If your coming down from USA, stay clear of here. Don't believe the reviews in great tasting tacos. Stick with the small open air stands. Much cheaper and greater quality and taste. read more

Wow! This place is awesome! The ceviche tostadas are amazing! And then the view from the deck! Can you ask for anymore?? Delicious! The corn tortillas were excellent. I ordered Gobernador style Marlin (4/5), and Ensenada style fish taco (5/5), as well as a Corona (always good if you like them, $20p/$1.25 USD). View was amazing, good part of the beach vendors- there was a stage with live music setting up for Independence Day weekend. We also saw DOLPHINS. Been here two nights straight. The hours are off they are open till 10pm on weekdays. The beer on tap always comes in a chilled glass and its 45 pesos for a yard of light or dark beer. Plus its cold! The hot shrimp tacos are my fave here as well. The views here during the day and at night are amazing. Definitely returning before going home. read more

Ripped us off. Five of us... three had tacos, two had lobster plates. The menu states the lobsters are 220pesos per kilo. The lobsters were small (not even 1 kilo) but when the bill came, they charged us 560 pesos for the lobsters. There was NO WAY the lobsters were 2.5 kilos each. They have cheap cold beer, good tacos and seafood and free wireless internet. Really uncomfortable chairs. They close early so finish that beer senor. They will let you order food from other places if you drink here. It's great to order a beer here and order a pizza from pacifico. They have authentic aguachile and other raw seafood. Best fish tacos around. Good pulpo tacos too. Parking can be a disaster on weekends. I'd recommend taking the playas bus from centro to the stoplight then walking 2 blocks to the beach.
