Stake and eggs (we ate the potatoes but it also brings potatoe wedges)

Good service the food is good at a very reasonable price I ate the corollas and camaron plate the shrimp were well seasoned, my husband had their breakfast the steak and egg their potato wedges are awsome and crisp. We also asked for a cocktail de camaron which was also a very good option. Definitely recomend this place.

Loved my camarones al mojo de ajo! Very tasty! First time here, will definitely be coming again. Plus you can drink and they have music playing!

Ok, let me start off by saying the michelada was ON POINT! The perfect mix! I'm definitely coming back for that again. So why -1 star? Because look at my plate: Camarones al mojo del ajo. It was more like a plate of arroz con frijol with a side of camarones. Overall it was good, my dish did need some black pepper and I wished it had more garlic flavor, but again, I'm overall pleased and will be coming back again. Parking is limited, street parking mostly.

Mariscos!!! Just had 3 tacos de camaron and they were delicious! my coworker had the milanesa empanizada and he said his was realllly good. salsa with chips too! the salsa was delish too...on fire, but still delish! Parking next to the restaurant and they were so nice when I called in to place the order and were super nice when I went in to pick up. Will definitely be back!

I agree with some of the previous reviews that this is the epitome of "hole in the wall." Decors and exteriors are not the most attractive, but I love supporting small businesses! I came here for lunch on a week day, the place only had like 2 customers, so I got almost undivided attention and fast service, woo hoo! The service was excellent. Chips and salsa were brought to me immediately after I ordered and sat down, and refilled as soon as I finished my first basket (hehe, I love chips and salsa!). The burrito plate had huge portion, it lasted me for two meals. The only complaint I have was that the food was way too heavy and tasted more on the greasy end. It's a good place to be when you're extremely starving.

Ended up ordering burritos, tamales, enchiladas, hard and soft shell tacos, etc. - Tamales were the best. Meaty carnitas - burrito was next best. Meaty, not too much filling. I'm from NM so love the wet style. It bugged me that you have to pay extra for Christmas style. Who really likes getting charged for a lick of sauce? How much does that sauce really cost the business? Look, I walked away and I still remember you wanted to charge me some nominal fee for the sauce. I told my friends. Now I'm telling my friends on Yelp. The owner should read up on pricing psychology. He probably doesn't want to be known as the guy who charges for sauce, is my guess. - Chicken taco was a nice size and tasted ok - enchiladas were mid Salsa is only free for the first 2 servings. Even for a table of 4, that bugged me. Again, he's known now as the guy who nickels and dimes. Sigh. Ambiance is dark inside like a pub. It would look more modern and family friendly with more natural light. As most would expect out of a restaurant. We came here during a World Cup game. The game was on. That was a plus We were thinking of coming back to order the family pack. Then no one at home would charge me extra for the salsa. ha!! I read just now in another review that this place charges for hot water. Ok then, the owners is STRIVING to be the nickel and dime people. Yelpers are talking and people are listening. Do yourselves a favor and reverse these dumb pricing practices. You'll never know the business you are losing for the $2 here and $3 there. It's never worth it!

We normally call ahead to order our food, and it'll take roughly 10 - 15 minutes. Service is always solid - the workers are friendly and helpful. We normally get the carne asada/pollo fries and they're awesome. Fries are cooked perfectly (I swear there was a period of time where they coated the fries and that wasn't it, but thankfully they stopped), comes with the usual toppings like guacamole, onions, cilantro, etc. They top it with a hefty amount of juicy meat - both carne asada and pollo options are solid. Recently though I've been straying from fries and getting different dishes like the chicken flautas, enchiladas, and mulitas. Chefs kiss for each one. The rice and beans + salsa combo are also flavorful and pair nicely with the entree.

My plate was loaded, the kind of generous, no‑nonsense serving that tells you they cook with heart, not shortcuts. Every bite had that strictly authentic, home‑style flavor that reminded me of family, childhood mornings, and my grandma throwing down in the kitchen. The spot itself is super casual, eat in or take out, nothing fancy, nothing trying too hard. But honestly, the food and the service are the only "decor" this place needs. If you're craving something real, comforting, and made with love, this taqueria delivers. Miguel C.

The vibe is unfussy, the service is friendly in that "we got you, don't worry" way, and the food comes out fast enough to make your stomach feel seen. Man cause we were craving some Mexican food. The wet burrito was the star of my visit, big, saucy, and exactly the kind of comfort bomb you want from a spot like this. The red sauce had that perfect balance of savory and tangy, and the burrito itself was stuffed generously. Every bite was so good, so delicious! And the tacos.....Fire. The homemade tortillas make all the difference, soft, warm, and with that fresh‑masa aroma that tells you they didn't come from a plastic bag. No... no... no! They hold up beautifully to the fillings without falling apart, and they add this subtle sweetness that elevates everything. Chips and salsa were simple but solid. The chips had a good crunch, and the salsa tasted fresh, bright, and not overly blended, the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're "saving room for the burrito." "Maybe we were just hungry..hungry huh?" The drinks were honestly refreshing as hell. True Mexican style if you're going to complete the meal....que no? The horchata was creamy without being heavy, with that cinnamon sweetness that makes you want to chug it.The agua de Jamaica was tart, floral, and ice‑cold, the kind of drink that instantly cools you down on a hot Gardena afternoon. Cocos Tacos is exactly what a neighborhood Mexican spot should be, casual, comforting, and consistent. If you're in Gardena and want homemade tortillas, a saucy wet burrito, and drinks that actually refresh you, this place deserves a stop.
