Walked in with my family on a Sunday evening,were greeted and sat promptly. The server quickly gave us chips and salsa-the green salsa was amazing reminds me of my moms home made salsa macha she makes. The agua fresca was authentic Jamaica not too sweet. Our orders were also taken quickly, the server recommended botana la patrona which I thought was amazing,portions we're definitely good for the price,taste was unique unlike other marisco spots I have gone to that have the same recipes this botana was a unique taste and I enjoyed my dinner. Ambience was also friendly,clean and music wasn't overwhelming where we can still converse. My family and I really enjoyed our dinner. I had to file a police report because I left my purse there, and the owners and employees did not give it back. I have cameras on my Tesla that shows I left it there, and the owners refused to give it back. The restaurant was completely empty, only employees and DJ playing. I asked them to check the cameras to see if someone else took it (again it was empty) they gave me the rum aound for days then said file a police report if you want to see the cameras. Which I did now I wait!!! This is huge to me because I just lost my only child, and I had a beautiful necklace that's worthless to everyone but me, I even told them to keep everything, just give me my son's necklace. The owner was extremely rude and didn't even want to take my calls, didn't return my calls, and was obvious even to police that they have my coach purse. Went in with my son for lunch and we couldn't read the menu very well at all because there was very little English on it so we didn't know what to order. I saw a big picture of a bowl of soup on the window with beef and everything in it but our server told me they didn't have any soup like that but she described something else of a soup but I wasn't sure what she was describing. No soup like the picture on the window then why is it being advertised? So i ended up just making it easy on myself cause they didn't have much of the food we were asking for either made or they just dont make or sell at all like enchilada's etc. I ordered two beef tacos that were very good and a but not sure what the server called it but it was like a beef, shrimp quesadilla and very small. Plus i ordered a buy one get one ceviche on a shell but it still cost 18.99 so its not really a buy one get one at all. They dont have iced tea or a glass of filtered cold water just bottled water and bottled sodas. The warm chips and salsas were the best part of our lunch. This was my second time eating lunch here and nothing has gotten much better but the tacos and chips and salsa were good including the ceviche. They just have some work to do here still. Our girl server was very polite and helpful. The ambiance was very quiet again both time's coming here but we where the only ones here again. Sorry i took no pics just wasn't impressed! read more

I visited this place today. It is under new ownership and let me tell you the food was great! I had tacos gobernador and they were so delicious. We also ordered aguachiles and a tostada de camarón and it was beyond our expectations. The service was great and the staff was so attentive. So glad we gave this place a shot, great customer service and great food! The young lady taking our order was great suggesting food and the cook invited us to come back for $1 tacos later that night lol they have them on Friday and Saturday's. We ordered take out; tacos, torta, and huarache. The carne asada and al pastor tacos, had home made tortillas!!! the al pastor was amazing, the carne asada could have used a little more seasoning. Place is only 6 months old. What is unique about them is that they make the tortillas fresh when you order them. As a real Mexico Mexico authentic feeling to the food. 3 taco + drink is only about $8 with tax. I tried the asada, pastor and pollo. All were excellent with a good amount of meat. So I wouldn't trust the hours , now service. I ordered from this establishment via DoorDash . Their yelp closing time says 4pm. The expected delivery time said an hour. They accepted the order than 10 minutes before it was to arrive, the door dasher cancelled it because the place was closed on Sunday by 2pm. This place is a hidden gem from the customer service to the food. The waitress which I believe is the owners daughter or the owner herself is so inviting and her recommendations are spot on. You can tell she is passionate about her food and her business. We were all so pleased with all our food. My husband said his wet chicken burrito is one of the best he has ever had. The Barbados tacos and picadita de mole I had was so delicious. My kids had chicken tacos, a torts and a burrito and they were all equally pleased with their food. I notice on Friday morning a flyer was on my truck. I told myself, "Wow!,No respect for other people's property. As I approached my truck I notice it had rain, as I removed the flyer I notice remains of the flyer where stuck to my window. Now this is a classic truck with original window. I decided to call the 1st # on the flyer DISCONNECTED, the 2nd number didn't answer twice so I sent a text, I got a reply back by text apologizing and that I will here from someone. The day went by and no call so I called and spoke to someone, I explained my situation over the phone which she was aware of , she again apologized and said she would have the owner contact me. The 2nd day she send a text requesting my address and they where waiting on the liquid to remove the adhesive off my window. Well they never showed up! The 3rd day comes around and I text them to find out what's going on and I got text back that they will clean it in the evening. The 4th day: The lack of integrity shows the results by the day going by an again nothing happens. So I've had it and here I'am on Yelp. Do not stop by to clean my truck! I came in here for the first time and it was pleasant! I had never been to a place that makes me feel more like home, like my native Veracruz. I was told that Tacos La Jaiva makes some delicious picaditas, and those are hard to find! I came here thinking i can eat two picaditas, but after trying them, i ended up getting 6 and taking 5 extra home! I tried their homemade mole and it was soo good, they add lettuce and cream on top. I also noticed that They hace Tepache and nieves too! I recommend this place 100% this hole in the wall shop, its worth it! Everything made fresh to order and with handmade tortillas. I tried eating here twice but both times was not able. First time, I came at 6:15pm on a Friday. They advertised $1 tacos after 6pm on Fridays and sent an ad to my house showing that. When I arrived, the place was empty and there was no staff. I looked around at the menu and wall display and about four minutes later somebody came out from the back. She told me they wouldn't have tacos for another hour because they were late setting up!?!? On a Friday at 6pm after they've been open all day, they can't make tacos?? I said how about something else and she said the food wouldn't be fresh and wouldn't be good and you could tell she really didn't want to make any other food items. The second time I came was at 7:00pm on a Tuesday. The lights were off and the door was locked. This place doesn't seem to have food available at normal meal times or during their posted hours. this place was excellent, Staff was attentive and polite and i was looking for some Mexican food around the area and I came to this spot, it was truly delightful all my food was handmade and fresh, I tried the horchata and the strawberry drink that was made form scratch, and for dessert I had a tequila ice cream which was beyond good.
