I have been here a number of times with my sister who lives in Fallbrook, I live in San Marcos. I have never had poor service and their food is very good. My favorite is their Shrimp Diablo, OMG, it is delicious! This last time I went, I was dog-sitting for my sister so I went alone and was the only one sitting in their outdoor patio. My server was Mark and he did a great job, never forgetting about me sitting out there alone. It was very enjoyable, they have umbrellas on all of their outdoor tables so there is plenty of shelter from the sun. I can't compare them to other Mexican restaurants in town because I haven't tried others, it's hard to do that when you're happy with where you're getting great food and great service! read more

When it is fresh Mexican food, traditional or with a flair you want this is the place! The food is some of the best with all the sauce choices you have in red, green and orange. Filled with spices that please us. The menu is large enough but not overwhelming to order from. Try out Taco Tuesdays here as they have some of the greatest such as the calamari taco! The owner is always there in the kitchen cooking and comes out to greet us regularly and will custom make a plate or two if you ask him without hesitation. This place also supports the locally high school sports and the community. They employ local kids who are excellent servers. Great food from a business that is truly a part of this community. Great local spot. Got the nachos and enjoyed them. Service was a bit slow but I think there was a festival so it was pretty busy. They had live music there, not sure if it's an everyday thing but it's always cool to have live music. The food is decent and the prices are fair. read more

My husband is a big fan of Mariscos and was pretty excited when he found out there was one in Fallbrook, he was even more excited to discover that they deliver. Tonight we tried it for the first time and are extremely disappointed. My husband is fluent in Spanish as it is his first language, he is the one who called to make the order, the woman who answered was a Spanish speaker and she was having a hard time taking the order, my husband had to repeat himself three or four times and that's when he realized they were going to mess up the order and sure enough, they did. We ordered 1 order of 3 shredded beef rolled tacos "con crema y guacamole" plus 2 additional rolled tacos, 1 cheese quesadilla, 2 side orders of refried beans and 9 flour tortillas, 1 order of aguachilles, 2 tacos de carne asada, 1 order of mojarra frito and 3 pina jarritos which my son was extremely excited about as we never let him drink soda. When the woman repeated the order back to him, she didn't mention the sodas so my husband said "y tres jarritos de pina." She read it back again this time including the jarritos. Then she kept repeating our address back incorrectly as well as the debit card numbers. When our delivery arrived, as soon as my husband closed the door, he realized the 3 sodas were missing, he ran outside and she was long gone, he gets on the phone and the lady said the delivery lady would come right back with our soda, about 10 minutes later, she calls back claiming we never ordered sodas and they were not coming back, he said "you know I did and you repeated it back twice to me." She wouldn't own up to her mistake, he also told her they also didn't add sour cream to the rolled tacos as they didn't. The only edible item was the aguachilles and the quesadilla which were both only mediocre. We will not return. I forgot to mention, all the beef items were day old meat and who knows how old the fish was, it was the driest fish I've ever seen. read more

I was exploring fallbrook on a tuesday walking arround and i got hungry all of a sudden! the closest place nearby was this mexican spot La Caseta! i thought id give it a try! it was arround 1pm on a tuesday. So there was only 3 other people eating. The person attending me was very welcoming , friendly and attentive. I ordered the small order of nachos with chicken. While i waited he brought me chips and salsa!!!very goood salsa. my nachos were SO GOOD!they were deliciousness and perfect, i was stuffed!. glad i didnt get the large. This place is a disgrace for their Name of being a seafood restaurant. I paid $15.00 for a shrimp burrito that had overlooked hard shrimp and some burned since they grill their shrimp. I counted at the most 6 small shrimp and the rest of the burrito was full of cabbage, rice and sauce. Such a disappointment to crave shrimp and get this kind of burrito! I will never again spend money and let me tell you $15.00 is not cheap for one burrito. I hope you don't either and gets ripped off for nasty food. I'm no one to exaggerate but I like well made food. I don't mind paying the money but at least give me what I paid for. read more

I went here today for the first time with family and had quite a pleasant experience. I have had so much really good Mexican cuisine over the years that the bar has been set pretty high, but the shredded beef burrito I had was nothing short of amazing. There was an underlying flavor I couldn't quite identify but it allowed this presentation to rise above all others. My wife was equally happy with her cheese enchilada. The accompaniments were tasty, and the flan we had for dessert particularly so (the addition of orange flavoring and cinnamon was a nice touch). The server was attentive and prices reasonable especially for those who were able to order off of the senior menu (55 and up). I don't live close by unfortunately but will look forward to dining here again the next time I am in this neck of the woods. read more

Took my family to lunch yesterday at this wonderful place. I had the best enchilada EVER! Not only was it super cheesy, the sauce was so delicious! Great flavor, not spicy, just perfect! The chips and salsa were also perfect. Nice and crisp, with the perfect amount of salt, and the salsa was more flavorful than spicy. Really good rice and beans. Really good flan, too. The hint of orange in the sugar syrup was a nice touch. The iced tea was great, and my glass was never empty. Our server was attentive and friendly. This is why I love this place and have been going there for years! So glad my daughter bought a house in Fallbrook so I have reasons to be in town more often! read more

As the only Mexican seafood establishment in Fallbrook it's hard to compare overall pricing of food is fair, taste of good was fair as well. Service could use some work it felt like an eternity getting my bill when finished, I believe I ask for my bill too mente times snd was ready to leave. All time favorite sit down Mexican food in Fallbrook! Great chips and salsa (bummed they don't sell salsa in stores anymore)... My go to dish is the Carne Asada Burrito Enchilada style. I judge a Mexican restaurant by their carne Asada and La Caseta nails it!!! Other great dishes include mahi mahi tacos, taco burrito, supreme tostado and just about the entire menu. Scenario: Its Taco Tuesday and you just moved to a new town. Local Mexican restaurant is hosting a Taco Tuesday special, the pictures actually looked pretty good on the local FB group page. Its getting kind of late so you think i better call and see what time they close because its already 7pm. So i make the call, " Hello i am on Google and it says you close at 8pm is that accurate. " Person on the phone replies,"Actually we just stop seating people at 8." My interpretation; just get your butt down here and we will take care of you..... I had people visiting so i tell everyone. We gotta move! So we load up 7-Adults 1-kid and 1- 3month old baby. 2-carloads deep .....and we get there 7:35pm. We are seated 7:40pm They take our drink order bring chips and salsa ......and we sit, and wait. I get my beer and i ask the person who brought it,"So how does this Taco Tuesday thing work?" He says,"You have to wait for your Server." Server shows up 7:55pm "Can i take your order?" I say yes, "We all want the Taco Tuesday Special." The Server then says "Oh, sorry, we stop serving that at 7:30pm." I said,"Thats pretty ridiculous. Why would someone stop serving their special of the day 30min. before you stop seating people? Can i please talk to the manager?" Manager re-enforced what the server was saying. I informed him that was the sole reason for us coming. He refused to accommodate, so i refused to spend my money there. I got up and said i will pay for what we have here and we will be leaving. He said "O.k." He saw that we had a large group with small children so he said just pay for your beer. Was that really supposed to give me some sort of warm fuzzy? I paid for my beer and left, Never to return again. What Mexican restaurant in ALL of Southern California stops serving Tacos on Tuesday at 7:30pm? How does that even make sense that, Whatever the hell your DAILY SPECIAL is, you stop serving THAT 30min. before you "stop seating people"? Why if someone calls and asks what time you close can you not disclose that you stop serving your special 30min. prior to close? You have a party of 7-Adults and 1-kid and a baby. How do you NOT accommodate them? Especially when they called you 1st? This place will never see my hard erned $$$$, not that they obviously care, all the more reason. I'm sorry, but I think the other reviewers who gave good reviews have never truly tasted "fine Mexican food". I suggested this place to my husband for a date night. We walked in and I was immediately disappointed by the lack of ambience. The ingredients in the food were low quality, and the food just sat in my stomach like a brick and left me feeling bloated the rest of the night. It came out the next day in the most explosive manner. Sorry if that's TMI, but truly "fine" food should not do that to your digestive system. I imagined a huge vat of refried beans and the "cook" just throwing a sloppy spoonful on each plate. My chicken was so drowned in sauce, I could not verify that it was, in fact, chicken. I wouldn't give more than 2 stars. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so we didn't wait at all. The server was very nice...but the food wasn't very good. I had a combo plate with a chicken tostada & chili rellano. Everything seemed to lack flavor & seasoning and the chili rellano had a burnt taste to it. The rice was overcooked. It was our first time in to eat there & sadly will be our last as well. Not impressed. One good thing though...there was a teaspoon of guacamole on top of my tostada and that was some really good guacamole! Unfortunately the rest of the meal didn't compliment it. read more

Every time I come the cocktails are so weak, apps are very plain, boring and to be honest I've had better taquitos frozen from the grocery store. I have visited this restaurant twice now. Both meals: MMMMM. Fist off, if you are in the area on Cinco de Mayo (May 5) go! They have a free queso dip which is extremely unique on this day. Almost white in color, with just the right amount of spice. Their salsa is really wonderful. Mix the two: aaaah! I had the two combo entree the first time with steak tacos, and a beef burrito enchilada style. MMMM. Salad greens for the salad were fresh, and their standard dressing was good. Great service both times. Owner, Delos, is on hand and answers questions at will: no hesitation and one can tell he is coming from the heart in his responses. Since this is local, I plan to return. What a phenomenal taste for your standard Mexican restaurant with the familiar Acapulco paintings and memorabilia from Mexican markets decorating the place with a spot of dust coating them. La Caseta gets four stars from me. I am a fan. I have had much, much better Mexican food, but the food here is decent and the staff is always attentive and kind. This place has a homey feeling with lots of color and warmth to it. The kindness and good service of the staff makes it that much more cozy. No need to dress up, come as you are and enjoy the evening over some great chips and one of my favorite salsas. The best thing about this place is the thing that makes me give the name of it to people who live outside of Fallbrook and tell them to make the journey to La Caseta. Two words: FRIED AVOCADO. Yes, when I tell people that, they look at me as if I have hit my head. If you have not gone to La Caseta to try the fried avocado, you are just missing out, my friend. Melt in your mouth goodness in the best batter I've ever tasted. Seriously, folks, even if you have never been a huge avocado fan, you've gotta try this. Another local restaurant, also a good place, makes fried avocados too. However, they don't even come close to touching the fried avocados here. A suggestion if you are not sure what to get? I have always loved La Caseta! My favorite dish is the Burrito Verde (smothered in verde sauce and cheese on top...so good). Recently I went for Taco Tuesday for the first time and fed 2 adults for less than the cost of going to Chipotle! We especially loved the Fried Avocado Taco.
