Mario's catered an event I went to last night and it was excellent. The Mario's team showed up in full force to execute the best possible service and quality. They had chicken and steak with rice, beans, veggies, salsa, corn and flour tortillas. Everything was seasoned well and tasted great. I even went back for seconds which is unusual for me! The event itself was super nice with live music. I definitely recommend you hit up Mario's for your events in the future. read more

Mario’s Tacos Restaurant - Steak fajita - Tacos Near Me - Lockhart, Texas

Food: Had the plate of Barbacoa mini tacos which came with 4 tacos for about 11 dollars including text. The meat was juicy and the tortillas were fresh. I just wanted more flavor. The salsas were good they had mild medium and spicy I had the mild and medium. Both were just okay. The plate did come with grilled onions and a charred jalapeño as well as some lime. Service: Service was fast. They had my food out within 5 minutes through the drive through. Staff were friendly. Ambiance: I got my order through drive through. But it's connected to a gas station so I imagine it being a small hole in the wall. read more

We were hungry for something different, and breakfast tacos are always a good idea. However, the tacos at Mario's were a great idea. Homemade tortillas, fluffy eggs, thick bacon and delicious beans...we were in taco Heaven. And, don't miss out on the homemade salas. All three were great. read more

Who would have thought a restaurant right off the highway next to a gas station would be SOOO good?! Mario's has yet to disappoint us. Granted, it may take a bit longer than you'd like in the drive thru for your order, HOWEVER, it's because everything is made FRESH!! We have had breakfast and lunch/dinner from here and have enjoyed everything. Their chips & queso with ground beef is always something we add to our order. Their breakfast tacos are fantastic as well as their enchiladas and quesadillas. We are also a huge fan of their asada fries. OH, and the horchata is quite tasty. There are plenty of tables inside to dine in, and has always been very clean when we've gone inside to place our order. Definitely in our top faves here in town. Only down side is there are not open for dinner. read more

6/15/26 came here for lunch inside the restaurant, I usually do the drive thru. Flautas and horchata are my go to, always fresh and inexpensive. The staff consistently have smiles on their faces. They are patient and kind, living in Austin these things do not go unnoticed. I try to come here whenever I am in town. Thank you Mario's!! read more

Place is fucking nasty, also if you want price gouging come on down, also very rude customer service.

Consistently good food every time ! Very fast service great way to start the day ! Customer service always positive.

One of our favorite places! Always friendly, and the food is great every time we go. We like the breakfast tacos, pancakes, and crispy tacos

This is my go to in Lockhart from the asada fries to the menudo on the wknds. Always good and always quick.

Mario's is incredible quick service Mexican food. They are continently located just off the toll road headed in/ out of town making the drive through an easy place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Their food is fast and super tasty. Try all the sauces but the spicy is my personal fav. Highly recco the aguas de lemon or pina, super refreshing on our hot TX days. There are tables inside and the place is always clean and tidy. Thank y'all for extending your hours to include dinner service!! read more

Mario's tacos is situated next to a Valero gas station and has a drive thru, so it goes without saying I was probably going in with fairly low expectations, but I stop at that Valero pretty frequently and I had a hankerin for some tacos, so I decided to give it a go. I ordered the steak ranchero and chicken ranchero tacos and a horchata, I was served quickly and my food was piping hot. The tortillas were fresh and well made, the meat was perfectly seasoned, and prepared, these may have been the best tacos I've had in Texas, they are definitely the best tacos I've had in years. The horchata was very good as well. All in all I wish I had stopped in here sooner. On top of that the price was more than reasonable for the portion size and quality. Don't skip Mario's tacos. read more

I was excited that my sandwich was made correctly, but I was horrified to find out that the chicken was undercooked. Internal temperature of protein is at the top of the list when it comes to food safety and the mark was missed. It's always super exciting to get medium rare chicken read more

Mario’s Tacos Restaurant - Food safety fail - Tacos Near Me - Lockhart, Texas

It's inside a gas station, but any Texan knows some of the best meals, especially tacos, come from inside a gas station. And Mario's is no exception. Mario's has the full range of breakfast and lunch tacos, each made to order. The service is quick; the food comes out quickly; the portions are generous; and the tacos are good. If I had one gripe, it was the red salsa -- which needed a lot more oomph to it. BUT, having said that, Mario's is a welcome addition to Lockhart, especially on the west side of town. read more

Great customer service and even better food. Migas were really good and the customer service was outstanding

New cook? I dunno, but the migas tacos are even better. So good and superbly seasoned I forgot to use the salsa (also great). 100 stars. Great food, great service, super staff. read more

This place was a little bit out of the way, but SOOOO worth it! We will definitely be back. Friendly staff and quick tacos!

On the way to Dallas from Corpus Christi, we stopped to get gas and we were hungry so we popped over to Mario's to see what it was all about. OMGawsh best these were the best taco's! And their salsa was to die for!!! The staff was attentive and kind and came over to our table twice to make sure all was ok. Will definitely be making this stop again!! read more

BEST TACOS IN LOCKHART!! And staff is amazing and very nice ! They make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal ! You can't go wrong with any of the food here , it is all tasty ! And the avocado salsa is delicious! read more

This place just recently opened this location so I am totally going to give it another chance and hopefully up this to a better review. However, the entire restaurant smells like the bathroom. It's a raw sewage kind of smell mixed with harsh cleaning products, and it will really singe your noise hairs if you choose to eat in! So for the love of tacos, order TO GO. The salads are the best in town, so fresh and tasty. Go for the green one, it has more kick, but both combined are ideal. Also, I was not impressed by the carnitas. It's the cubed-style carnitas, which aren't very flavorful. Going to try something else next time. I am rootin' for y'all but you gotta deal with that smell and hang up some pictures so it's not so depressing in there. read more

This place is so good considering it is attached to a gas station. The food is always hot and fresh and there is a huge variety of items you can get. Of course, these tacos aren't as good as spicy bite in Kyle, but no place can really top that. (definitely recommend checking spicy bite out) The salsa is okay and the breakfast tacos are big!! You won't leave this place hungry, and if you do it is your fault. Go try it!! read more
