Marta is always so put together (they open at 5AM) and lovely. My beloved pup never fails to leave here without a treat. An absolute staple of San Marcos and now I have another reason, besides the Lolita combo to be a frequent flier. If you've somehow missed out on this little place, be sure to give them a try. Awesome gem in San Marcos. There was a long line when I got there at around 10am on a Sunday, so be prepared to wait! They have 2 drive through lines and a walk up window. Traveling today and wanted to try a new breakfast taco spot and Loli's was on list so we stopped by. It's 7:30 am so there was no line. I got a bacon and eggs (my normal) and hubby got the barbacola taco. We both thought they were ok compared to the others that we've had. The customer service was great and they got us out fast. We were in the area and this place has a lot of positive reviews! Make sure you go early because the line gets super long! They have two drive thru lanes and you can park on the side and walk up to order. We loved trying all the different things in the menu. The California burrito is HUGE! It was as big as Jeff's face! We recently visited some friends in San Marcos and they highly recommended the breakfast tacos at this place. Trusting their food opinions we tried it and it was amazing! They recommended the Combo Ranchero and so we got that. It was tasty and all the components fit together nicely. The flour tortilla was also very good and I'm usually not a fan of flour tortillas since a lot of them can be gummy but this was perfect! With the added salsa that they gave it made a complete bite! The portion sizes for a taco are quite big and one was filling enough for me. I didn't get a picture as I was too excited but it's definitely worth checking out. Haven't spent a lot of time in Texas, but when we do the family always wants to grab breakfast tacos somewhere. It's a wandering pilgrimage, like eating a brisket sandwich while perusing the jerky wall at a Buc-ee's gas station. The eats at Loli's cafe were the best breakfast tacos we've found. They have a two lane drive thru and a walk up window. Parking is a bit limited. The line was long when we got there, but it moved along quickly. The tacos range in price from three to five bucks and were a generous size packed with ingredients. The Combo Ranchero includes egg, bacon, beans, cheese, potatoes, and a ranchero sauce. So good. I'm not sure what they do to the bacon, maybe deep fry it? But the chunks of bacon are a crispy crunch that then melts away. The tacos aren't over stuffed with potatoes. Loli's may very well become our go to whenever we are in town visiting the fam. No need to keep checking out new places when the breakfast taco urge hits. read more

I really don't want to give a 1 star because the people are so nice, but I'm struggling to find anything redeemable about the food. The burrito is a mess. For about $13 you get a 5 pound scoop of their ingredients on top of a tortilla. Yes it's more traditional to not wrap burritos in Mexico, but this is not possible to eat. It's a mess. You couldn't even differentiate the rice from the beans because they were the exact same consistency. The tortilla did have good chew to it, but the contents were all so bland. This would have been okay if the salsas could carry it the rest of the way, but the red tasted like water and the green didn't taste like anything. Not only did the meats lack any flavor, but they didn't even bother to add salt. It's possible we messed up and should have gotten breakfast tacos. But just based on the lunch tacos and especially the burrito, we have no intention of giving them a second chance. read more

Loli's operates 2 drive thru lanes and a walk-up window out of a former car wash customer service building. Yes, you park on the car wash stalls or pull through into where you used to vacuum out the inside of your car, unless you want to wait in the drive through lanes, which regularly back up 6-8+ cars onto Aquarena Springs drive. A BRILLIANT and TASTE re-use if an old obsolete car wash, which could have been an eyesore but is now a treat for the soul. 5 worth the wait Loli-cious stars! read more

After we placed our order, one of the ladies noticed that we didn't look familiar, so she added two additional tacos 'on the house' which was a genuinely kind and much-appreciated gesture. All told we had the Lolita's combo, picadillo loaded, combo ranchero, and bean and chorizo. All of them were equally amazing and delicious. Long story short this place isn't great it is freaking amazing. I've tried a few spots in San Marcos when it comes to tacos and breakfast tacos and Loli's is definitely a #1 contender. They only do drive thru or walk up but they move the line super quick and they do accept card. This was my first go around and honestly my only issue is I wish i could have tried more of the menu! Their carne guisada is so tasty and authentic and has me excited to try their barbacoa next time around. The beans and rice were on point and their salsa verde almost reminded me of being back home.
