The food ALWAYS comes out fresh and hot ! The staff is always nice and welcoming. Fast seating. My boyfriend LOVES their Gordita plate. The meat is well seasoned, a little spice to it as well. I've also ordered through Favor and even then the food is always HOT!

I suggested to my wife, after she played pickleball for three hours on a Tuesday morning, that we should head out to Palm Cafe for breakfast instead of "feasting" on toasted panettone bread slices with butter. As tasty as the panettone sounded, I was eager to try out Palm Cafe after someone from church brought their breakfast tacos to a cleaning project we did behind the nearby school a few months ago. The place looked small from the outside but was quite spacious inside. We seated ourselves and were glad we got there shortly after 11:00 AM as the place got busier as the lunch crowd started filing in. We were there to order breakfast but were served some good tortillas chips and salsa. After reviewing the menu, my wife ordered Migas with corn tortillas and I ordered Huevos Rancheros with flour tortillas (my go-to Mexican breakfast). My wife also ordered coffee with her meal. Food came fast. My dish was good, refried beans were flavorful and the fried potatoes were good. My wife liked her migas but thought the one she orders from Casa Maria is better. While the flour tortilla seemed home made the corn tortillas didn't seem like they were home made and wife prefers the corn tortillas from Lupe's Tortilla. All in all, a good brunch. Brunch for 2 came out to just under $26! Good food and good value!

One of my favorite mexican restaurants to get cheese enchiladas from. They always hit the spot. The chips are also very good. It's a small place but service is really fast. Also every time I've gotten Togo food it's been perfect.

We were in San Marcos, and the two other places we went to were closed, thanks for being closed. The wait staff is friendly, the food was served very quickly and it tasted good. The coffee is good. The prices are great. I had the two eggs, cooked just the way I liked them, the barbacoa was all meat and tasty. The potatoes and beans are good. Homemade tortillas, yum.

Usually a solid fan, tonight was as good as it gets. The kitchen closes the last hour, so don't leave it too late. Arrived around 7.30pm Thursday and there were less than half a dozen tables of customers, plenty of seats to choose from. I'd strong-armed Mr R into trying a torta because he was hungry and the tortas here are 1. Huge 2. Bargain priced and 3. Delicious. He got a monster torta, I got a sour cream enchilada plate, we each had big ol' half liter Mexican cokes and after tax it was still under $19. Winning all over the place. He was so ecstatic with that sammy and the pile of jalapeños it came with that I had to remind him several times that other humans could see him and could he please remember to chew. My sour cream enchiladas were wonderfully spicy compared to what I get elsewhere. There's one spicy and one nondescript plate on the menu, so I may have inadvertently ended up with the spicy version. Then again, maybe the spicy one would have set my hair afire, I don't yet know. But I plan on finding out. Super polite waitstaff, great flavor and value for money.

Breakfast tacos were just ok...we ordered on the phone for pick up and they got part of our order wrong so that kinda sucked but we had heard good things about this place so we were still excited to try them out! Unfortunately, nothing tasted very homemade or legit- kinda tasted like taco cabana if I'm being 100% honest haha and hey, some people think TC has great breakfast tacos lol maybe we will go back to try their lunch/dinner plates one day :)

The following up and check in was also timely and convenient. On the day of the event, we added pastries to the dinner and they were ready and willing to provide. My wife had visited years ago, and a close friend had recently recommended it, so it seemed like a good opportunity to give it a try. The building itself is beautiful. We parked in the rear lot and entered through the bakery, which immediately caught our attention. There was an impressive variety of pastries on display, and the kids were quickly informed they could each pick one out later if they behaved. The restaurant also has several colorful walls and decorative displays that make for fun photo opportunities and selfies. We were seated at a large table toward the back near the restrooms. Service was friendly throughout the meal and reasonably attentive despite the restaurant being busy. To drink, I ordered the jalapeño prickly pear margarita, while my wife chose a peach, coconut, and strawberry margarita. Both had excellent flavor. My wife's drink was especially memorable--it tasted like a cross between a strawberry margarita, peach bellini, and piña colada. The only thing missing was a little more tequila, as both drinks leaned more toward the sweet side than the spirited side. The chips were slightly thicker than I typically prefer but still enjoyable, and the salsa selection was excellent with a pleasant level of heat. The kids ordered bean and cheese tacos from the children's menu, and the restaurant happily substituted fruit for rice without any upcharge, which we appreciated. For our entrees, my wife ordered the vegetarian enchiladas while I chose the fajitas. The fajitas were good overall, though the meat portion felt a bit light and seemed stretched by a generous amount of green peppers. The rice, however, was excellent and one of the better components of the meal. Before leaving, we visited the bakery. The kids enjoyed their donuts and cookie, while I opted for a guava empanada that turned out to be one of the highlights of the visit. Overall, Casa Maria impressed me more with its atmosphere, bakery, and creative drinks than with the food itself. It's a beautiful restaurant with a fun family-friendly vibe, a strong bakery program, and some excellent margarita flavors. I'd gladly stop back for the pastries and drinks--and if they ever decide to be a little more generous with the tequila, even better.

I got the nachos and it was truly the most disappointing nachos I've ever had in my entire life. The nachos consisted of a few tortilla chips, few pieces of chicken, lots of fake cheese and large slices of onions throw on there and that's it. It was just overall disappointing. My friend got the burger and it was ready an hour after we ordered it. Once it arrived, both the burger and fries were cold. However, my other friends got the steak chimichanga burrito and the chicken burrito and it was truly amazing. Again, I think it's a great pregame spot but don't have high hopes.
