Really nothing to complain about! Place was clean, organized and well-decorated, good servers, and the food was great! The crust had a slight salty taste which was surprising but great! Cheese definitely as gooey as people say it is but if you handle the pizza well it won't fall off. Spaghetti was also soooo good - restaurants are usually a hit or miss with spaghetti (either it's too dry or has too much sauce) but this place had a perfect mix! They do have good service. They are extremely popular in the area. They are family run business. These are all positive things. When it comes to the pizza pie, it is extremely salty compared to all the pies we've had in the valley. If you're looking to produce your sodium intake, get a pizza pie somewhere else. If Dave- One bite pizza reviews- were here he would let y'all have it and I honestly wouldn't blame him - pizza as a whole looks like a 5 year old made it - Very Floppy bread no crunch besides the crust with a good marinara sauce followed by a Niagara falls of cheese and a toping of grease You take one slice out for a bite and all the cheese falls off almost instantly not because of the grease but because the slice is now at a 90 degree angle.. you see... how gravity works is this force that sadly pulls everything to the ground including the cheese but maybe if it had a spine.. as in baked right I wouldn't need a fork to eat the cheese off of said ground. Or maybe if they served it with a set of plastic forks and a wink with a posted note that states " You're gonna need these." maybe just maybe I wouldn't be that upset about the flop. My fiancé and I just stopped by for the pizza. We just moved to the area a couple of months ago and hadn't yet found really good pizza. We moved here from NYC and know good pizza. My sister recommended them to us and we finally got around to ordering today. The flavor was ON POINT. Just the right amount of sauce to cheese ratio. The flavor of the pizza sauce was just right. Let me preface this by saying, we try to support our local businesses as often as possible. I've been in northampton since 2015, my husband even longer. Marios is just up the street from us. Husband used to rave about their food, so I gave it a shot. It was always okay food, nothing spectacular, but certainly not the worst. The last few times we've ordered from Marios, the food has been steadily going down the tubes. Tonight was the worst ever. We got a plain cheese pizza. I'm pretty sure they forgot to add any flavor to it. Plain oatmeal has more flavor than this pizza. Sauce was bland, crust was soggy as hell. Cheese looked like that overly processed "mozzarella" that's more plastic and preservatives than actual cheese. I'm truly disappointed. And it sucks, because the owners and employees are super nice people, they just need to up their game. read more

Top of the line for Pizza, steak sandwiches are well above average, the pizza is to die for. Little shop, FRIENDLY and THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE ALL FRIENDLY! The pizza here is amazing, one of the best in the area I have never been disappointed. The service is great and the selections are abundant. It's a cozy hole in the wall where I live and the beer selection is top notch. This place is always on our list when we visit the area. The pizza is perfect - thin crust and gooey cheese. Perfect for folding. The cheesesteaks are delicious. There is something about the bread they use along with the right portions of meat, sauce and cheese. The size could easily feed two people. And we just discovered the cannolis! Mario's is a staple for us when we visit PA, as we are former Northampton residents. The pizza is unequaled, the sauce is perfectly tomatoey and the cheese is the right blend of cheesiness and saltiness and nuttiness. The cheesesteaks are terrific with sweet peppers, and the bread is chewy and dense but light. If that makes sense. We love Mario's and miss it terribly!!! Nothing like it out here in WI! read more

This is a tough review because I've always liked Mario's and as far as the pizza, still do. However I was there recently for the first time during the pandemic and was shocked. In that small waiting area there were 7 customers and no spacing or any spacing markers on the floor to keep people apart. We were all very close together, very uncomfortable. Besides that, none of the workers behind the counter, making pizza and waiting on customers, were wearing masks. To top it off there are no Plexiglass partitions/sneeze guards on the counter between staff and customers such as most places have now. The pizza was great but I think this is sad and one of the reasons we can't seem to beat this damn virus. Sorry, I can't go back... looks like they don 't care enough. I'll miss it. read more

We've been steady customers since 2011 and true blue! Now I'm not so sure,,had a chicken parm sandwich in October that was super moist/wet instead of crisply fried and the sandwich had only a few tablespoons of sauce and minimal mozzarella,,very disappointing and not on par,,so we got a meatball parm last week and paid the upscale $10 for it only to find golf ball sized prefrozen garlicky meatballs cut in half on a store bought chewy dried roll with scant sauce and cheese,, the experience was like eating cardboard,,, we threw it out ,,what a disaster ! I am somewhere in between angry and disappointed! I know this place so well or maybe I don't if this is how Mario's deals with inflation,, the consumer is paying dearly,,I'm not coming back again,,will miss the crew but not their sandwiches! read more

I have tried Marios many times. Every time I get Pizza I get gas from the Pizza. Last time I went there I ordered a Chicken Parm sub. There was one little piece of chicken and all sauce and cheese. Over the years this place has changed greatly. Salads are not as good as they use to be and the fries changed over the years . You have be able to get eggplant fries for years . It's ok but Dough Boys have them beat in many ways. It just seems the prices are increasing and quality of the food has taken a dip. read more

We order take-out from Mario's once a week. The pizza is good but it is best to order with a topping so they make it fresh for you. During busy periods they make extra plain pizzas which may not be as hot and fresh as they could be. When the pizza IS hot and fresh it is OH SO GOOD! The eggplant parm sandwich is hit or miss. Sometimes it is like heaven on a roll but the last one I had tasted freezer burnt and was soggy. We usually have pizza night on Thursday because the weekends at Mario's are crazy busy. Also be aware of local event nights. Mario's is just better when they are not too busy. I would like to rate a 3 1/2 but that is not an option. read more
