Wow. Talk about a blast from the past! I'm going to guess that this restaurant looks pretty much identical to what it looked like when it originally opened, inside and out. Signage, layout, vast dining room with like forty 4-seat tables, and brick arches galore. Kinda felt like going up to the snack bar at a bowling alley to order. Of course this can be bad or good as a throwback kind of vibe. One of those, I know exactly what I'm getting every time vibes. That said, the Dayton Style pizza is pretty on point. Thin, crispy, square cut, bite sized pieces. Another thing that looks dated is the style of sausage they use. It looks like it was extruded through a spaghetti machine. Not necessarily good or bad, just different, but honestly kinda weird. I'm d go back if I was ever back around one, I just usually am driving through (not stopping) when in the Dayton area though.

I stopped in for lunch today with some coworkers and the pizza and atmosphere was great. I opted for a 9" (small) pizza with pepperoni and black olives and it so delicious I ate the whole thing. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

    A "DELUXE" pizza

Ordered a large deluxe. See photo below. For over $22 they maybe used 1/16 of a bell pepper and 1/16 of an onion. Ordered salads with cheese. No cheese. Drove 30 mins to pickup and when I got home, this is what I had. Customer service is terrible when I called back. They told me to call their main office for a refund. I'll never order from their establishment ever again.

I have eaten Marion's Piazza since I was young child. I lived two blocks from the Dixie Road Restaurant until my family moved to Florida. Every time I visit Dayton to see family, I go to Marion's Piazza. It's an institution, I must eat a Marion's Supreme Piazza. There's nothing like it. Thin and crispy, most of all delicious.

I love getting this pizza when we are in Dayton. It's always a super quick turn around from ordering to pickup, regardless of how busy it is. The Supreme pizza is the one to go for. Personally, I opt for no black olives and think it's much better. The star of the topping is the shredded sausage that they put on. Its melt in your mouth crumbly. They slice this pizza into squares and it makes the undesirable middle pieces perfect little bites.

    Sausage Pizza

The unique thing about Marion's is the sausage. Ever had a Totino's Party pizza? The sausage on those things is a finely crumbled, almost hamburger-like texture. Well, Marion's has a nicer version of that same sort of thing. I emphasize nicer, because this is much better than a $2 frozen pizza. What I just wrote is either going to intrigue or repulse you. I very much liked it, and encourage you to keep and open mind.

Not sure why I thought they would get my order right this time. I ordered an Italian sub with extra sauce. When I picked up the order I asked the guy who checked me out if it had extra sauce and his reply was it should but I don't know if they put it in it not. Needless to say they put less sauce on than usual. if you can get a simple request correct I give up.

I haven't been here in about 12 years. I didn't remember how the ordering went with drinks and food. My husband and I walked over to the drink counter first and told the guy working that counter, we wanted to place an order. His response was so rude and arrogant with him telling us we order food "over there" and drinks with him. He went to turn around expecting us to go to the food counter first. We need food and drink. So I told him we would go ahead and order drinks first. He was so annoyed and initially made my memory of this place a bad one. We then ordered the pizza. When it came out and ate it, it was just as I remembered. The young man working that counter was FAR more friendly too! If you want good pizza and don't care about the rude, bothered drink man, then come here.

I went to Marion's Piazza after being recommended for notable pizza places in the Dayton/Beavercreek area. The location was very large with much seating. You can see the pizzas laid out and made to order quickly with fresh ingredients. I got the supreme pizza. I liked the concept of the smaller pieces and thin crust. The toppings were fresh. I wasn't too big of the sausage but I kept eating as I did enjoy. It looks like a staple in the area.

But, while you're in the area, you need to eat. We were looking for Italian, and the Yelp reviews led us here. It's a small not-a-chain Italian restaurant. The ambiance isn't why you go, it's the great food! I say that because there are only 3 tables inside that can seat 4 or 5 people maximum. And it's not fancy looking. But the pizza was excellent. My adult daughter declared it was the best pizza she'd had in a couple of decades. And she's a picky eater. We all enjoyed the pizza. A especially nice touch is that they have a bulletin board where people have pre-paid for meals for people who can't afford to eat. If you are in that situation, you walk in, choose a receipt, and take it to the counter to get your free meal. It obviously hadn't been abused, as there were at least a dozen pre-paid receipts there. We really liked that community service aspect. But the only reason I'm writing this review (after the fact; sorry I didn't get photos) is that the pizza was great and the cost was also great. We highly recommend them!

The cheese had stellar pull, we had to try to scoop 3 times to put the slice on the plates. The marinara is a garlicy variety, so we liked that. Garlic gnotd were fluffy moist on the inside and nicely baked on the outside. The staff was all so nice! We definitely will be adding them to our regular choice board for our family!

The closest thing I can compare the taste too is perhaps Flying Pizza, but better imo, I'd never go there again tbh and just come here instead. Plus reheatability is pretty legit too with an air fryer. I think they'd make way more bank though if they sold by the slice, but if you're looking for a legit NY style pizza then this is your spot!

When they closed, I was thrilled to hear they reopened in Fairborn, especially since it's right where I live. The first time I tried the Fairborn location, it was everything I remembered and loved. Unfortunately, the quality and flavor have slowly gone downhill since then. It just doesn't have that same authentic taste that made me fall in love with Verona's in the first place, which is disappointing because there aren't many great New York-style pizza options in the Dayton area. I really hope they bring back that original consistency and attention to detail, because when Verona's is at its best, it's unbeatable.

As you can see from the picture, not only were the toppings generous, but they were arranged as if it were for a glamor shot on a cooking show. The pizza was absolutely delicious. My son, an anime fan, and I went to Izakaya last Sunday afternoon. We wanted a table, but were told that every table was reserved (even though there were plenty of empty tables). I was pleased that this new and unique restaurant was so popular. We sat at the bar and after 15 minutes flagged down one of the two people tending bar for a menu. After almost 20 minutes after closing our menus, I again flagged down a server to take our order. My son had two exotic looking drinks that he found delicious. Our pizzas were very good, although be careful about the toppings as they can really run up the cost. We saw amazing Korean corn dogs and noodle dishes coming out of the kitchen, so we well be sure to try them next time. I highly recommend examining your check carefully. First of all, cheese for your pizza is $1 extra, shredded chicken is $3 extra. My son's two drinks were $23. I didn't notice the "Large Party" fee of $10.83 until I had already paid the bill. How 2 people constitute a "Large Party" is beyond me. And to add insult to injury, checking out on their app, I was asked to tip, and I did! Mind you, the service was deplorable. We didn't receive silverware or napkins. I had two tissues in my pocket so we used those as napkins.
