I grew up in Trotwood & the Godfather's on Main Street (Trotwood) was THE place to hangout after football games. Of Outback in those days, the name of the game was seeing & being same. That they had the best deep-dish pizza (while still hot) was a bonus. I thought they all went out of businesses around '87 or so. It was great to find this location near the Dayton Mall. I regaled my wife of stories of high school glory (Al Bundy style) as we ate. The pizza is not as deep or hot as I remembered, but the service was great & the trip down memory lane was priceless. I loved Godfathers as a kid. Thick pan Chicago-Style deliciousness. Fun family atmosphere. Our recent trip to the Miamisburg Godfathers was nothing like I remembered. The pizza was terrible. It had all the taste and texture of a bad frozen pizza. It came out super fast, which leads me to believe they are just popping pre-made cardboard pizzas into the oven. Ordered online for a specific time of delivery over an hour later. 20 minutes after it should have been delivered we called and they said it had been delivered. We live in a small condo front door 3 feet from my chair. We checked and it was there but no one rang our bell or knocked. It was cold and had to be reheated in the microwave. The store was not apologetic because it was delivered which is the end of their obligation. Won't go back to that store. They use door dash but should be liable for the delivery. I love pizza. But, let's just say, all pizza is not the same. There are some that are too greasy, overcooked​, too doughy, not doughy enough, not great ingredients, too salty, etc. So many things can go wrong with a great pizza. But, over and over again, Godfather's Pizza offers the best and most delicious pizza ever. I'm never disappointed. I'm always excited to go to the Dayton Mall area so we can stop there for a slice of pie. The Dayton Mall location isn't the same as the Huber Heights location, but equally wonderful. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help with anything needed. The place is always clean and taken great care of. Godfathers pizza is a nostalgic place we used to have these in Cincinnati over 20 years ago or longer. I was so glad to still know they existed in the Dayton area. The pizza was good but the quantity has changed over the years.The pizza can only be purchased as a small medium or large no slices available, the slices seemed to be smaller than I remember. I will say Godfathers pizza is still a good fresh pizza. It will be great for them to stick around for many years to come. This is a new location near my house, but I've had Godfather's once before and thought it was good. We rarely eat pizza out now that my husband taught himself how to make pizza and has a steel pizza plate to cook on. Also I have a diary allergy so I can't eat a lot of diary anymore, which makes going out for pizza really hard. We ran to the Home Depot for some things and decided to stop here and grab lunch. With this place being brand new, it is really nice and clean inside. The staff was polite and nice. They were on top of taking the dirty dishes from us and asking if we needed anything. My husband is boring so we just got a medium cheese pizza, the garlic bread, and two drinks. I think the overall price for what I got was way too expensive. The pizza is just ok and the garlic bread was like Texas Toast I could get at the grocery store. Maybe you have to try other types of pizza's for it to worth the price, but I found the food to just be really plain. read more

Ordered a classic combo, chef salad, and two diet colas. $36.96. We are it there. We sat down ate our salad with pepperoni , ham, broccoli , carrots, tomatoes, onions, all of the dressing you want. Plus a mixture of cheeses. When the gentleman brought out the heavenly creation. It was hot. The server came by at least 2 times and asked if they could bring us anything. Yes it's Godfather's, but still not like the Huber Heights location, or Indiana locations for that matter. You order and pay as soon as you walk in the door, so know what you want. There is no salad bar at this location. It's basically a slightly larger version of the Sugarcreek location. Feels very cold and sterile in the dining room. The pizza is still pretty good, but the execution is kinda rough. Seeing as they just opened, there is always hope. I miss the old Chillicothe, Ohio location that had the pizza and salad buffet. Hopefully Godfather's revisits their roots. read more

It was only upon getting home that we learned that they had given us the wrong order and we had to bring everything back to them and get our now cold order and only a "sorry" to make up for their mistake. So not only do we have to pay an arm and a leg for what we thought was going to be great hot pizza, but Instead we have to travel up there twice to get pizza going on cold with only a "sorry" to make up for it. However, this year they have raised the prices and the cheese and toppings are getting skimpy. This caused my latest pizza to taste like plain bread because the crust overpowered everything else due to there not being much else. Not a good move when you are already overpriced. I had ordered a Veggie Pie. I got it home. Okay, yes it was hot, but was flavorless. They dice up everything. So the veggie flavors are lost in all the cheese. Also the dough was not cooked through. It tasted terrible. I like a crisp crust on my pizza and because the dough was under-cooked it left the crust soft and chewy. I only could get one slice down.
